    This studio is great! The owner Jill is an absolute sweetheart, and all the instructors are fantastic as well. The classes are a lot of fun and they make sure to give you different options for each exercise depending on your skill/comfort/mobility level. They offer in person and online classes through zoom, and the booking app is very user friendly. Highly recommend!

    Jill's online Barre and Bellyfit classes are so much fun to do, you almost forget how hard you are working. She is an engaging, enthusiastic instructor. I live in Alberta and really like that I can access her expertise and classes online. The online interface she uses to book and log in to the classes is so easy to use. Jill is very knowledgeable and open to discussion about moves/exercises I can't do and will give me modifications. Her never-ending smile, encouragement and playlists make the classes enjoyable and go so fast. The online classes are very affordable as well. I have only done barre and Bellyfit but there are a variety of other classes as well. I highly recommend trying this studio for your fitness fix.

    Enjoying my classes here while training for a marathon. Jill is a great instructor and mixes it up every day for her workouts. I really enjoy the Barre classes offered and the environment is much more relaxing than doing a class in a hot studio. Smaller groups with option for online sessions as well!

    I've been taking online classes at the Beat Studio since September 2021, and I plan to stay a client for as long as I'll be living in Burnaby. The online courses have been really helpful to make sure I get a workout in my busy schedule or while travelling. The classes are fun, dynamic, and easy to follow. The instructors are approachable, they demonstrate well the different moves that are part of the routine, encourage us throughout the class, and, most importantly, create a safe exercise environment. The online system is easy to use for booking classes. It's a great studio that makes you feel part of a family; Jill, the owner, makes sure of that! I highly recommend the Beat Studio!

    Online classes at The Beat are well presented - there are no issues with poor audio, or inaudible music, or the instructor being only partly visible - the tech side of things is great. For me the lunchtime online classes are very handy, and there is variety in what is available through the week. The studio is well equipped for in-person classes. Jill is knowledgeable, encouraging, cheerful, but also pushes us to improve. I always feel more positive after her classes. I love this studio!

    I'm really glad that there is a studio is Burnaby that has barre classes! I've been taking Barre with Jill and I really enjoy the workout! I would recommend anyone who is interested in Barre to attend! Jill makes it fun, exciting and enjoyable while getting a great workout.

    I've just started at the beat studio, taken four classes so far. I'm getting back into working out and I really appreciate how approachable the instructors and the classes are. Its a really welcoming space.

    The Beat Studio was a saviour during the lockdowns and helped me with my post knee surgery recovery! The online classes and lunch classes made it possible to fit in a workout multiple times a week while working from home. A variety of classes are offered 6 days a week which is an incredible value. The instructors are so friendly, supportive and welcoming to all fitness levels. If you have any questions Jill gets back to you so quickly and is very personable! A real gem of a studio. If you are looking for a non judgemental space to ease into fitness, this is the place to be.

    Love this place! I had been looking for a studio close to my house - and it's right in the heart of Burnaby Heights! A wide range of classes to suit anyone. I hadn't been working out for a few years, and the owner Jill helped me to pick the classes to start with. Also love that they will help you do the moves correctly or provide modified moves to ensure you don't hurt yourself (unlike some other workout faciliites that I have tried). A very welcoming boutique style studio.

    I’ve been taking classes at The Beat for over a year, and it is a gem of an exercise studio in Burnaby Heights. Jill (the owner and instructor of many of the classes) has created such a welcoming studio and community. All of the classes are a great workout and fun to do at the same time. They’re also suitable for all skill levels - the instructors always suggest modifications in case there’s injuries you need to work around. If you’re looking for a studio that feels like a little fitness family, then definitely check out the Beat (and try their intro pass, it’s a great way to try everything and also get hooked). I originally came just to take the barre class, and now enjoy all the wide variety of classes offered here!

    The Beat is a real gem in our community in the Heights, Burnaby. I love the variety of workouts and the inspiring group of mostly ladies who are very dedicated daily at the studio. I love the dance fitness type classes - Barre, Bellyfit and a truly amazing Sunday morning yoga class with sound bath. Highly recommend dropping in and getting to know Jill and the other teachers who love what they do. Singing along is ok too. I am enjoying lunges and squats much more now. Thanks to everyone for making the Beat such a great place.
