SFU Bookstore & Spirit Shop

Gift shop Book store

😠 This is essentially a gift shop. There are more varieties of bath bombs and board games than there are books. If you want a set of coloured blocks that morph into a robot or a set of rainbow gel pens, this is definitely for you. If you're looking to buy books, head elsewhere. I thought UBC bookstore... I thought UBC bookstore was a sham, but at least they still have a selection of books by area of interest.

The bookstore staff are great and do a really good job of helping students that are just figuring things out. Get in early to get your course books just so you don't miss out on them. Make sure you have a good look around though to try get second hand books. It's right in the center of the university and will be a staple location of your university experience.

They've got alot of things. "SFU MERCH" Prices on most of the stuff are quite unreasonable(pretty expensive). A few of the things (masks/bookmarks etc) are moderately expensive. They currently have sales/discounts happening on selected items. The outlet is quite tightly packed. An over sized bag on ur back might knock stuff off when you turn.

The staff was very nice! I visited the store while here on a vacation to see my little brother. The store had a good selection of items to take home as souvenirs and to pickup for my brother to use daily (water bottles, tankers & lanyard). Staff was very pleasant.

Bought 5 pens, 2 not working. Bought what the page said was my required textbook. It had no access code to the required course page. Had to buy another ebook with the access code. For other stuff no problem.

Small bookstore, but with a good selection. Also carries the standard university gear. The sale books are very well priced. They used to carry apple products and accessories, it's really disappointing that they no longer do.

Went to the downtown YVR bookstore first, to look for a sweatshirt as a gift. They didn't have the one I was looking for online but recommended the Burnaby store. The Burnaby store is a lot bigger and had an excellent selection of high quality clothes with a lot of small gift items and stationery. I ended up buying a hoodie that wasn't shown online, at a price that was lower than the one I originally looked for. The staff were helpful and friendly. It's a cute store that's nicely laid out with clothing (mostly sweatshirts) in a separate area. The day I came in, you got a free gift with every $10 purchase (an SFU mug), plus a free draw for bookstore gift cards (I drew $15). Way better experience than I expected and certainly better than many retail stores. Would come back again.

As old alumni it's fun to wander through the logo merchandise and see modern versions of the old crest. Lots of items to wear and many to just display on walls or shelves. Pretty nice book selection as well.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and lots of things to choose from. Prices are high though, and sometimes you just can't find the price of the object you are looking for, so that's annoying. A Micro-USB cable should not be 15 dollars.

Make sure you really need your books, they are expensive! Sometimes the teacher doesn't even use it
