Superb, charming Italian gem that’s an exciting new addition in the heart of Burnaby Heights. Delicious, authentic, flavorful impressive Italian cuisine in a casual, elegant atmosphere. Try the gorgeous, tender calamari and stellar lobster crab stuffed fresh made ravioli. Warm, inviting top notch service — everyone will leave satisfied. Thoroughly enjoyable evening, we will be back for more! Looking forward to trying their share plates and wine bar menu. Located next door to Glenburn Soda Fountain, plenty of parking at the back. Ambiance, presentation, service and food were all 5 star. Highly recommend.

A hidden gem! European food in Burnaby! I had the Risotto.. calamari/sausage/prawns all in a beautiful cheese risotto. We took a party of 6 with no issues at all. Desserts, wine, food.. it all took me back to my vacations in Europe. Recommend to anyone who is missing the quality and tastes of Europe/Italy.

Lovely place. Great service and the Italian old fashioned is one of the best old fashioneds I've ever had.

The food items we had (bread and a pasta) were very tasty and well-made. Wine was good. The cocktail was terrible, it was quite watery-stick to the wine if you go. The downside to the place is unfortunately the server was a bit cold. We felt somewhat uncomfortable being there in her presence, almost like we were doing the server a disservice by wanting to eat there. Shame because the food we had was quite good.

Franco is a terrific chef and the menu is delicious. This is a special hidden gem in the Burnaby Heights area. It’s cozy, personal, and delicious. The chef will come out to introduce himself and speak to you. And if it’s possible, he’ll even bring out your meal and tell you how he made it. From the starter cocktails to wine and the final aperitif, the drink recommendations were spot on. Definitely recommend selecting dishes family-style like the Italian tradition so you can try more dishes. It’s a small family run business so if you plan on a party of 10-12, I’d recommend calling ahead so they can arrange the seating accordingly. Fav spot for 2 is by the window.

I would leave zero stars if I could. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. This restaurant was empty for the entire time we were there. Now I understand why. It was our first and definitely last time dining at Circolo. The food was utterly atrocious and VERY overpriced - they charged us $6 for a few slices of bread! We ordered off the Brunch Menu, which was inferior. Don’t know why they called it a Brunch Menu as there were NO Brunch related items on it except for ONE over priced cheese omelette which was served as omelette only, no bread no sides. But the WORST thing was their service - awful from start to finish. The hostess/waitress was very inhospitable – unfriendly and rude! Our dining experience at this restaurant was horrible; we left unhappy and unsatisfied.

We came to try the happy hour since we live within walking distance. As stated in other people's reviews, service seemed cold. We were not mistreated in any way, but we felt awkward and almost unwelcome by the server. The restaurant was mostly empty. The chef however seemed friendly, but we only got to see him briefly for a few seconds when he brought our hot olives out. The happy hour appetizers and drinks were okay, but I felt like the food was not good enough to reflect the prices. I often tip well when it is deserved, but setting 18% as the lowest option gave me a very bad feeling considering how lackluster the service was. I couldn't be bothered to change it, so I tipped 18% anyways... $80 after tips for happy hour with two drinks, two appetizers, plus bread and olives. I don't mind paying these prices if I have a good time at your establishment, but I did not. Food okay, service was not great in an almost empty restaurant, and the prices were high. Not really worth our time.

As an Italian, I am super picky and judgemental when it comes to food! This little hidden gem was amazing, quaint, classy, and very cozy, excellent for a first date! The food was on point, I had the meatballs, the sauce was on point! Not acidy, perfect blend of savory and consistency, loved it, very good service. The Lobster ravioli, wow!! Coming from a picky person, you know it's a great spot!

This place is a hidden gem!! We had dinner here on a Sunday and the restaurant was quiet. The owner and server had time to chat and we had a great conversation about food, wine and Italy. We shared the cheese board which had a nice variety and was more than enough for four people. The delicious pasta is made from scratch with fresh seasonal ingredients and was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere in the restaurant is elegant but cozy. We highly recommend Circolo and will be returning!!

My friends and I had a wonderful dinner last night at this lovely spot. We shared the rissoto, ravioli, salad and dessert and it was all delicious. The waitress was exceptional, charming and attentive. We will be back !

Great find in Hastings Height where food options are very spotty. Circle is a cozy 'all welcome' restaurant offering home style heart warming Italian cooking. Highly recommend the lobster ravioli and tiramisu. Spot on espresso and great wine list that will please everyone's wallet and palate. The owner Franco will make you feel at home and come back for more! Overall a superb hidden gem that won't stay a secret for very long...

This italian food is packed with flavor. Italian food can be very bland, but this little hidden gem takes the time to recreate traditional Italian cuisine to elevate flavors that normally don't exist in this cuisine. Thank you for your canadian fusion cooking yay! It is absolutely delicious 😋

We walked by this place many times and finally gave it a go. It was awesome - atmosphere, food, wine and service. It took us back to a diner in Europe - not rushed, push out the door and the chef checked in on us. Very personable, pre-covid vibe. Highly recommend the Tagliatelle nero, veal and pork chops...everything we ate pretty much!

Very authentic and a hidden gem in Burnaby! The ingredients are fresh and the ambience is classy. They offer a small but thoughtful menu. We ordered the lobster ravioli, the meat balls, the fettuccine and tiramisu and they all tasted great!

Thank you for making my birthday a special day! Very delicious food, relaxing atmosphere and excellent service. I appreciated the extra touches and surprise tiramisu with the birthday candle! The one hiccup would be the loss of my reservation- I had called in April and spoke with a woman to book for May 13 because I wanted to get ahead of possible Mother's Day reservations. Maybe for future consideration a confirmation text message or something could be sent to confirm the booking. We were lucky there was a table available at the time I had reserved yesterday!

Circolo, a charming Italian restaurant, provided an delightful dining experience. The food was fresh and tasty. The staff's knowledge of the wine selection was impressive, and their recommendations were spot-on. With attentive service and a cozy ambiance, Circolo is a must-visit for anyone seeking an Italian culinary adventure

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and it was amazing. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and kind. The food was outstanding. I got the ravioli and my husband got the fettuccine. Both were delicious. We also go affogato and the espresso was nice and creamy. We look forward to dining here again. The prices are $$$ but the quality of food is worth it.

Must go - Very excited to have such a spectacular restaurant in our neighbourhood. Food was fresh, delicious and memorable. Everything from the cocktails, wine, pasta, antipasto, dessert and coffee - it was all perfect. You will not be disappointed. I see some reviews about the female server being rude and I completely disagree. Being shy and quiet does not equal rude.

My husband and I regularly eat dinner at Circolo. Circolo is very valuable hidden jewel in our neighborhood. The food?!?! Its amazing!!! I have always cooked but I'm not one of those regular cooks. I love beautiful taste and artistic ability in presentation. I've taken serious courses at cooking school, (not the silly 2 hour cooking classes that everyone does) so I'm pretty particular about where I eat and how things are done. Franco the chef is a master at what he does. He is absolutely fantastic. We love the staff as well because they are very attentive to every detail. Every time we go in to eat, we are treated like royalty. I highly, highly recommend this exquisite experience to anyone. Open your mind and mouth and Circolo will take you on a beautiful culinary trip without leaving your neighborhood.

Just visited - it was such a beautifully prepared dinner - we had the pork chop which was tender and the pappardelle. Beyond expectations for local Italian food - the atmosphere and food felt very reminiscent of when we'd been to Italy - rich flavours, unique pairings of ingredients ( like a salmon and dill with a seared pork/bacon and cream pappardelle all in one dish ) - just incredible.

Last night me and my son went for dinner at Circolo. I had risotto, my son had seafood pasta with one appetizer between the two of us. We had a chocolate cake for dessert that we shared. Dinner was amazing, service was quick and professional, I can’t wait to go again. Thank you Franco
