The park was good , the pool is really nice but had a bad experience 😕 at the snackbar grabber Joe's. My daughter found a bug/ COCKROACH and I had like pieces of the shell of one in our fries. I went to show the staff there and a young boy went in the back I assumed to get someone but never came back to me. No apologies nothing :(

We booked a stay in Center Parcs because the website advertised it was ‘firework free’. Unfortunately this was not the case and fireworks were set off all around. Our dogs were terrified and this really ruined our stay. However, as many people will come here for different reasons, I will rate and review some other aspects too. Besides the broken firework promise we had a pretty pleasant experience. With the main points of improvement being the beds and prices. We rented a VIP cottage, which was pretty nice. The bathroom had a sauna and a bubble bath. Sofa and bed could have been a bit more comfortable, especially the bed was clearly a bit older and was quite wobbly. The bedroom was noisy with lots of ticking sounds from wind and rain. The park itself is quite nice, but somewhat small and not in the most exciting environment. The swimming pool was small and cold, the restaurant were mediocre, the shop was ridiculously expensive.

We came for a 7 nights. my 2 kids (3 and 7) realy injoyed the place. it have alot of potential but if you come out of country and for more then a weekend you sould know that you going to pay extra for some stuff. pros: 1) realy quite. no cars alowed no ppl party. you can enjoy evning out side the room and relax. 2) nice water park with lots of activites and slides, and even a wave pool. 3) the jungle dome is very nice too for the kids. alot of nets and slides and tree houses for them. 4) beds were ok and Comfy even for me(im big and tall). 5) dish washer + 3 packs for it. 7) there is a supermarket and few restarunts if you to lazy to go out. 8) Although its 150Km from the airport. the drive is only around 1:30h. 9) you can rent bikes for the stay. nice to have. 10) 1 hour drive from the efteling. 11) there is a nice zoo very close zooparc overloon. cons: 1) the room and dishes were not that clean when we enterd. there was even used condum in one of the cans. and the cups smelled bad 2) if you are like us, coming for a week and not from this country. you will need to pay for stuff you should get. like more naylons for the bins. and maybe a soup for the dishes. we boght new stuff and just left it there since we cant take it back on the plane. 3) every thing in the supermarket and restaurants(mostly fast food) is much more expansive then the ones you can drive 10 min to the gennep and you have all big and cheep ones. 4) everything cost you. most of the attractions and activitis cost extra money. and when the kids see it u cant deny them. even the trampolin is 2euro for 6 min. this place is not cheep when you condsidre all the extra money you need for 3 meals a day + extra stuff. so they can offer some more free stuff. even the bike cost alot it's 11 euro for child sit. overall it was nice vication and the kids had fun.

Well looked after Resort, even it‘s from the 80‘s. We had booked a VIP bungalow. Everything was clean and functional. Only remark that there is just one and very small toilets, but three bathrooms. The Water Park was warm and fun to stay for the kids. We do recommend the jungle dome for older kids, they will stay the whole day there

The quality of the room service and cleanness is a way far from the price that you pay. We booked for 2 nights with 2 adult and 2 children (which one of them is baby) for 580 €. - After arriving from the swimming pool and check in the room there was no sheet and towels on beds while we paid already around 50€ extra because it is not normally on the room service. After I went to the front desk and took them we needed to put bed sheets, pillow cases and blanket covers ourselves because it is anyway not on the room service to put them as they said. - There is no dishwashing liquid, no hand soap no toilet paper (only one rol ! ). - The room was not properly cleaned. You see on the floor pieces of leaves/woods, sands and a lot of dust. - *******The staff at the entrance was very rude !!!!!!! I arrived in the EVENING back from the supermarket (with the baby sleeping in the car) and at the beginning they didnt let me go inside with the car. I said i have a sleeping baby and I want to put him directly from car to bed rather than put him first in the buggy and walk half kilometer under the rain (in December during Christmas days). The guy at the enterance very veryyyyyy rudely said "But I see now the rain stopped and it is dried" I got really pissed 😡😡 and after some harsh discussion they let me in. - Center parcs has only good staff when you call them on the phone to make a booking. - You book a house for vacation but when you arrive you need to put bed sheets also garbage bags in the toilet and kitchen your self. - The house has a strong smell like a sewage in the bathroom specially. - They are scamming people by giving them houses at the very end of the park. - DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY to come here (only the swimming pool was good).

Lovely stay - thank you very much Het Heijderbos in Holland for a great stay for me and my family - we loved it. Even the rain could not dampen the holiday spirit. I loved the fact we got away from the 'busy' life with cars that we are so used to, and returned to walking and cycling - very refreshing. Thanks a lot for the simplicity. I even did some scuba diving which was super fun! Thank you; my kids loved it too. Really refreshing, innocent and family fun. Even liked the board games for hire, this really helped the kids have fun in the evening too. Cheers :)

Great location in the trees, pool complex is the highlight, ideal for the kids, plenty of activities The only issue is no laundry. Surprised they don't have a laundromat. This would make a weeks stay easier.

We stayed in a night Cabana in the jungle dome. After it closes you can still enter the jungle, it's magical. We had a bbq and in the morning you get a basket with breads, croissants, eggs and so delivered. Coffee and tea are available at the restaurant. You have free entree to the Aqua Mundo for 2 days also and you can enjoy many activities if you pay extra . Pony rides, rent a boat, climing in trees, laser games and mych more. I take 1 star off for the swimming pool Aqua Mundo because it was not tropical at all. The water was about 27 degrees and there was a strong cold current. The next day it was better but still not much difference between a normal swimming pool. To conclude the experience to stay in a cabana in the jungle dome is a very special one. I highly recommend it.

What a wonderful week at het Heijderbos! We visited with a toddler & a baby. Our kids loved Aqua Mundo and went there every single day during our stay. Even with the small children, there's so many things that you can do. Because we went there off season, we saw many families with small children so it was easier for us to let my child play with other kids in his age. We stayed at VIP cottage. Everything was newly renovated and clean. We enjoyed sitting in our own sauna after kids went to bed. Definitely recommend 👍

We had a VIP villa which was exceptionally comfortable and well equipped with free roll delivery each day. This a beautiful park with wonderful activities for the whole family - much more for children than UK Center Parcs

I didn't enjoy my stay as normally. A lot of mosquitos and not cleaned properly it was a battlefield on the walls and a lot of dust everywhere. I know you can't expect a vacation house to be spot on but this was ridiculous. All our clothes felt moist and there was mold around the window. They are running on limited stuff which was noticeable and the prices are absurd when comparing to the service and experience. No complete welcome package since we got before covid. We'll avoid this park in the future. Sad to see this since normally we love CenterParcs. I hope they improve. Regardless of covid your paying a lot for an vacation and you expect a nice and tidy house and good service.

They got one thing going for them and that's the swimming pool. Everything else is kinda meh, like the houses which are very old. The free wifi they provide is 1mbit/second which is not enough to watch a 720p video. Everything is very expensive, especially in the market dome. Not only is it expensive, you also get smaller things and dishes etc. While I stayed here we couldn't even pay because we only had cash but their register was broke. Everything is done through an NFC bracelet (like getting a locker for your stuff at the pool and getting into your house) which is a plus. Apart from that they're very overpriced.

I have recently come back from Het Heijderbos and it was fantastic. The rooms were clean and tidy and lived up to expectation. The only reason we didn't give 5 stars is because of the waiting times for activities in the action factory. There was only 1 member of staff and he kept disappearing for 20 minutes at a time. So there was a lot of waiting around. The location is great but nothing really to do if you go off the park in the local vicinity. I would definitely stay again as we really enjoyed our time here. One other thing was I feel 10am is a very early check out considering you can't check in until 4pm

This was our first time at Center Parcs and it was great. Being around nature, with multiple activities that you would have arrange on your own if you go to any other hotel/city makes it very convenient for quality time. Even days when the weather was not the best, we spend the day at the pool or simply family time at the cottage.

First time visiting a Center Parcs and most likely the last to be honest. We booked a deluxe room which was about 50% more expensive than the cheapest one. The house it self is very moist, even when having open doors and windows for half a day, it still feels moist. We brought out own towels too and they won't really dry up, even with the bathroom window open to it's fullest. The towels that was included in this package had one of them visibly dirty with black dirt - straight from the sealed bag. The house is apparently dog friendly. We had to roll the carpet that was placed at the sofa away, because it stinks of wet dog or piss. We do not have a dog, so cannot tell exactly what it is. The area in general is okay. It's kids friendly and there is a lot to do. But its mainly focus is clearly on older children that can run around on their own. The dining places around the area is absolutely awful. The food is tasteless as you can also see in other people's reviews on the specific eating place. And the price does not match the low standard. The aquadome is what we mainly came for. And this is apparently a lot different from what we are used to. The facility itself is pretty good, but the hygiene level is poor, close to nonexistent. People walk from their homes with their swimwear on and go straight into the pools. They might go under the shower to wetten their bodies, but they do not use any kind of soap to wash themself. We even saw people go straight in, without going under the shower first. The park it self is decent. Still annoying that people smoke everywhere. Like it's a park full of kids and you still see people smoke at every entrance and in café area outside etc. One positive thing is though the breakfast being delivered in the morning. That's pretty cool. Our room has a big sauna, bath and bathtop, but there's not a toilet in the same room. Does not make sense why they would then create a separate room for the toilet, where it is pretty much on top of the actual zink. Staff has been great also. Very friendly.

The tropical swimming paradise is not so tropical anymore with today's energy prices... All and all OK holiday but nothing special. Price level of restaurant, park supermarket and activities is outrageous.

  • 4/5 Matt B. 9 months ago on Google
Overall good experience but WiFi not reliable / non existent in the cottage. Also, no streaming services (e.g. Netflix) available on the smart TV. Both improvements could make for an even more enjoyable holiday.

A beautiful place and a beautiful accomodation. However, almost everything in these parcs (not just this one) costs extra and is very expensive. I was not prepared for the fact that you have to either bring everythong yourself or buy it. I thought it was more like a hotel.

Very neat park. The accomodations were very clean and modern. The park itself has a very nice swimming pool and supermarket. The plaza is very cozy and overall a great place to go with kids. There are lots of things to do for both children and adults!

The service at this resort is very poor and the doormen are like bandits! We were scammed out of 1500 euros. so bad! It is recommended not to come here.

  • 5/5 Adam J. 8 months ago on Google
Great facilities and really helpful staff. We all had a great time. All very clean and well laid out with lots of options for everything. Accomodation was pretty good with plenty of space although the garden area could have done with the weeds cutting back. Lots of wildlife around too. Miles away from anywhere but with so much to do on site, it doesn't matter.

A very nice spot to spend some quality time with friends and family. There is a massive swimming pool and activities you could do. The service is nice and breakfast is included. The walking distance to your cottage from the center can be quite long so keep that in mind if you are lazy

Easily drivable from Rotterdam or IJmuiden ferry ports, we had a great time here with younger kids. It's a beautiful site with plenty of mature trees to give the proper forest feel. The jungle dome is the unique selling point of Het Heijderbos and with good reason - it's a huge indoor play area, all within its own tropical dome. It's ideal for kids 4-12. The renewed accommodation is a huge improvement and is well equipped (except only having a single toilet even in lodges for 6 people!). The pool doesn't have quite as much going on as other sites like De Kempervennen, but kept our kids amused well enough and the changing rooms are extensive and clean. There are two main slides, the rapids (near identical to Sherwood), a fish snorkeling pool, a large wave pool, a kids pool and a baby pool. Staff on the site are all very friendly and helpful, and run activities in English where needed - although be aware that activities book up here faster than other Netherlands sites seem to.

Go when the weather is nice! With rain, the activities are limited. Nice parc, lots of outdoor activities, smooth check in/out process. Definitly recommend the App. For kids this location is excellent. Only downside for us was that the Aquamundo area is truly narrow, not much room to move about, nor many seats inside. A reason for us to choose a different parc.

  • 3/5 Madalina T. 2 years ago on Google
The place is nice, very big, but by no means a 5 star hotel. They do not provide soap, towels, you need to make your own bed at arrival. There is also no hairdryer. When I asked at the reception about these things, they were really surprised since you only can expect soap and towels if you have a VIP arrangement. Ludicrous!

  • 3/5 Maria C. 4 months ago on Google
A large beautiful park with lots of activities for children and adults. But the service is not the best quality. 1. The house was so dirty that I had to throw out my socks, because... there was no way to wash them. Dirty plates. Dust everywhere, it was impossible to hang towels on the heated towel rail until I wiped the dust off there. We were checked into our room an hour later at 17.00, and check-out from the houses there was at 10.00. I don’t understand how the room could not be cleaned in 7 hours, although they have a requirement that you must wash all the dishes and put them in their places, bed linen collect and put in bags. Those. Cleaners enter a completely empty house, in which they only need to wash the floors, plumbing fixtures and wipe off the dust. When you rent a house there it says “fully equipped”. We apparently have different ideas about complete equipment. There was no soap or dishwashing liquid there (but they put rags so that I could wipe off the dust for the cleaners, apparently). There was not a single towel in the house, either for the kitchen, or for the body, etc. Bed linen is also a paid option. They provided 1 roll of toilet paper for 4 days for 4 people😅 2. Upon arrival, we were given vouchers for several free activities. Which were not displayed in any way on our bracelets and we had to go to the reception and book all this separately. This is just pure deception, technically you can easily add all this “to the bracelet”, but they deliberately do this so that you have less opportunity to take advantage of free services. By the way, we never managed to use them. There simply were no more places for anything! 3. Parking in the park is prohibited, but we found out about this when we found a red warning on the windshield in the morning. There is no information in the booking information in the app or upon arrival. The girl who gave us the bracelets apparently forgot to tell us about this. Very uncomfortable! 4. The instructor at the hight line activity outdoor, after the children entered the route, never came up and asked if everything was okay with them. Didn't tell my kids how to go about the route, etc. He did everything except my job - to monitor the safety of the route participants. The good thing is the cool Aqua Mundo area. Despite the large number of people, everything was very comfortable. We liked the evening program. For late check-in, they gave us 5 euros😅

Beautiful woodland, well planed and fantastic choice of facilities for children. If your budget allows, go for a better quality cottage and don't forget to get a bike for your stay,it gives you even more choice and a better experience.

  • 4/5 Patricia M. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful place for family vacations! It is located at the entrance of a national park and not far away from small towns; that makes it accessible and quiet at the same time. Good activities options included in the price and also some paid ones (all for kids from 3 tears and up). The only downside is the restaurants; not the best and not variety. You have a kitchen in the cottages, so it's not a real problem.

This is our first time at Center Parcs, so I have nothing to compare it to. I came here with an open mind about the accommodation standards, but still I’m really quite shocked at how old and unkept the externals are. Is this normal? Also, stained bedding, missing parasol, broken coffee machine. Switching to activities, very impressive options. Sadly many are fully booked for our entire stay. Not sure we’ll be back.

  • 3/5 Abid H. 1 year ago on Google
I gave it 3 stars as i feel although the location is lovely and the room very clean they charge a lot for activities and the food in the restaurants isn't quite up to the mark. The menus on their website can do with listing the prices so diners don't get a cardiac arrest when they actually arrive to eat- as prices are pretty high! I would recommend you stock up before you arrive here (find a supermarket!) and cook yourself. My request to Centre Parcs is to make their activities more affordable so more people can enjoy them.

We planned to visit in late July this year but had to cancel due to an illness in the family. Consider carefully before cancelling because it's a nightmare trying to get all your money back. You won't get a full refund from Centre Parcs so you must go through the insurance company. They want you to provide a lot of personal data and jump through many hoops. I appreciate they are concerned about fraud but it goes well beyond what is reasonable. It's an insurance policy for goodness sake and making it this difficult at a time when you should be looking after loved ones is heartless. Nothing against Centre Parcs itself but your insurer is terrible.

  • 2/5 Chris W. 11 months ago on Google
Sadly the worst of the sites in Belgium and the Netherlands. The staff rarely smile, and on two occasions were rude and insulting. The main attractions in the pool area are two sedate flumes offering none of the thrills of slides in other parks. The park itself is littered with discarded cigarette ends, including the areas outside the cabins. It's as if everyone working there has given up caring. Nobody in the family was sad to leave.

Nice park to stay. There are a lot of facilities that you can use. The swimming pool is great and the staff is friendly. The cottages are nice and up to date. however they could use a thorough clean.

Just about everything about this place is sub-standard. On paper this should be the ideal place for a short holiday but in practice it leaves a lot to be desired. VIP cottages are run down, even the recently renovated ones. The food in the restaurants is mediocre at best and the supermarket hardly stocks any fresh produce to cook a decent meal in your cottage to compensate. How hard is it really to offer actual healthy choices at a restaurant at a place like this? And at those prices? Almost 18 Euro's for a greasy tub of something deep fried that should pass for Fish 'n Chips?? The Aqua Mundo water park was ahead of it's time in the early 90's but hardly innovated since then so not that special anymore either. I don't think I'll be back, especially at this price point.

A freshly renovated and renewed Center Parcs. We enjoyed both the Market and the Jungle Dome and all amenities. The Escape Room was fun too.

Only went here for swimming. The pools are clean and there is a lot to do. The slides are a little bit extreme for kids in my opinion but fun for older children.

  • 4/5 Rene R. 1 year ago on Google
This spring we have also been here, but now we are in a VIP cottage. Sandwiches in the morning are quite good, of course if you get them yourself they are just a bit fresher. Sauna is lovely and bathrooms are perfect. The subtropical swimming pool is colder than before, but no wonder with the current prices of electricity and gas. A pity that they heat other things optimally while doors are just open so that the heat is gone in no time.

We have enjoyed a pleasant stay with my daughter and her husband at this park. One of the things I enjoyed most was the cruise on a boat on a dam in the park.

I spent 4 days in this resort. It is my first time to visit such resort in NL. Overall, the experience is quite positive. I'll explain the pros and cons in the following bullets: Pros: 1. The 4 person premium apartment is quite comfortable. You can cook by yourself. The kitchen is so big. And all other facilities are quite good. The building is a little bit old, but acceptable. Please bring towel, being towel and bring towel. There is no towel in the room. You should pay for it. 2. The check in process is convenient. The people at entrance will directly give you bracket for opening the door and other service. The digitalisazation is quite good. 3. People are so nice, and friendly. They are also quite helpful. 4. The activities and water park are quite good for kids Cons: 1. Quite big resort. If you did not being you bikes or roller, then you might have trouble of commuting. Highly recommend people bring a roller or kid's bike. 2. The instruction of activities are not clear. We booked a kid tattoo workshop, on the e-ticket it is said in market dome. However, it takes place at action factory. It happened twice while we also can't find the meeting point of archery. This makes me quite angry. In general, I would like to rate 4 stars while it is really a great experience. I would like to revisit here or other centerparcs in future.

Amazing holiday, I just love Holland, the people are so warm and friendly and such a safe place for children to interact and play safely. The main restaurant's within the complex are to a very high standard, and the pool us Amazing never too crowded as there I'd so much to do for the whole family x

Loved our 5 day break here. Food was amazing, one of the best of 3 center parvs we have visited. Lots to do for all ages of the family. Couple of rides broken or not opened which was disappointing but there was so much to do it didn't affect us having the best time. Highly recommend
