Love the exterior of this building by the architect Dudok, but the interiors are absolutely stunning. The attention to detail is incredible everywhere you look. It is well worth taking the guided tour (1.30pm Thursday to Sunday) as this gives you a good look round with a knowledgeable guide (we got a guide booklet in English as the tour is in Dutch) and the opportunity to go climb to the top of the tower (over 200 steps). The view from the top is amazing, especially with the autumnal colour at the end of October.

We did a tour of this beautiful building after having lived opposite it for 2 years … gorgeous on the inside as it is on the outside, lovely to hear the details about how Dudok wanted it to be perceived. Highly recommended!

A magnificient building in Hilversum, the Netherlands, by Willem Marinus Dudok built in 1927-1931. It consists of rectangular prisms stacked together. When you have the opportunity go there and experience its personality.

We moved to Hilversum 1,5 years ago. The service at the city hall has always been excellent: fast, efficient and helpful. Today we even used the wassap option and they were fantastic and helped us with our needs. After living abroad across many countries and our second destination in the Netherlands I’d say this is by far the best city hall team I ever dealt with.
