The ArtZuid sculpture exhibition is taking place in Amsterdam (17 May to 15 Sept 2019). This is the sixth edition of the exhibition which is held every other year. Here you find over 80 large scale exhibitions installed in the area between Minervalaan and Zuid Amsterdam. The exhibition area is open 24 hours a day. Visit the ArtZuid website for a map with location of the various sculptures. You can also download a mobile app. which is helpful. There is an exhibition information centre and pavilion setup at Minervalaan that is open from 10am to 6pm. Overall, we liked the sculptures found on the east-west Apollolan exhibition area more than than those found on the north-south area along Minrevalaan. We particularly liked 19 - Yoshitomo Nara's Your Dog (2017), 20 - Elsa Tomkowiak's colourful Out (2019) installation and 25 - The Leader (2015) by Atelier van Lieshout. Plenty more sculptures of interest to occupy an hour or two of art viewing in this area of the city.

An open air exhibition of the modern sculpture just on the streets of Amsterdam Zuid. Even if you are not fun of the art, it's still fun to walk around on the weekend and give a freedom to your imagination. It takes about 1.5 hours to see all sculptures. The exhiebition is located on 2 streets that crosses each other. You can get there by tram 5 or 24. It's free. There is small pavilion in the crossing of the streets with some booklets, t- shirts and souvenirs for the bienalle. It is opened on Sunday.

Lovely display of a variety of works. Located in the Oud Zuid part of the city lets you also enjoy the beautiful architecture of the Amsterdamse School. The neighbourhood is full of nice places where you can stop by and enjoy some coffee while discussing the art show. We comeback every year!

A park, or rather a square, far from the city center, with various sculptures. There are conveniently arranged paths between the sculptures, wide and level enough for a wheelchair to pass through. The park looks fresh and green even in winter. There is a paid parking lot nearby.

This is só nice! So many famous sculptors' work to be found here in a part of Amsterdam that is very relaxing for strolls. I did not bother to download the app and read up on everything, so that missing fifth star may be due to my own lazyness

ARTZUID is an international sculpture exhibition which takes place every two years in Amsterdam. The ARTZUID sculpture path begins at the Museum Square in front of the Rijksmuseum and continues for 2.5 kms south along the Minervalaan, the Apollolaan and finally up to the Station Zuid. Further info, the sculpture trail map and links for the app are available on the website. Disappointingly, details are not provided for all works. Over a period of 4 months, more than 80 sculptures from established and emerging artists are on display en plain air to view for free at all hours. Dynamic sections are created for solo presentations, group exhibitions and site-specific installations. ARTZUID 2019 takes place from 17 May to 15 September 2019.

Discovered this sculpture exhibition by chance and registered for a tour. How cool that something so appealing and professional emerged from a neighborhood initiative. This year the 8th edition. Very successful and I will come again for the next edition. Guide Diana Kostman is also of excellent level

Another great idea to enjoy summer outdoors -in the city. Walk through the route admiring the 80+ sculptures and stop here and there for a cold drink or coffee. The works will vary in style, perfect for all art lovers.

ONLY BETWEEN MAY AND SEPTEMBER! I hadn't paid attention to this detail and went there for nothing! 😂😂😂😂 I only found one park with a few unimpressive sculptures.

It's similar to Frieze Art Sculpture in London - a brilliant display of sculpture art on display in Amsterdam.

It's always a treat to walk through the South past the statues of Art Zuid, this time at the last minute. Always surprising and a feast for the eyes. Happy to come again next time
