😠 The worst food we have ever ate PERIOD. The food was cold. Straight up. Like from the fridge cold. Both my tacos and my husband's Fajita's were also cold. So cold I had to stop along the way and go in a gas station and heat it up in a microwave. 12.00 was cheap. I see why. I wont even be... People often mention good, great, Mexican, cheese, Butte,

The worst food we have ever ate PERIOD. The food was cold. Straight up. Like from the fridge cold. Both my tacos and my husband's Fajita's were also cold. So cold I had to stop along the way and go in a gas station and heat it up in a microwave. 12.00 was cheap. I see why. I wont even be trying another one of these places. The meat was shredded and dripping with some form of liquid. Dont appear to be Grease. Its like water or something. Totally grossed out by this food Also. Both burritos tore apart and stuck to the paper so I didnt get a tortilla with my burrito. I had to eat it with a fork 🍴 😩 oh yeah also the flour tortillas weren't even heated either

It's one of our fave places to go in town for a quick and cheap bite to eat. The food always turns out great. I recommend the spuds and cheese. I have to add that their chicken strips are insanely huge and my kiddos favorite!

To each their own but as a Mexican I can say with 100% certainty this is not even close to Mexican food nor is it good! They definitely need some real Mexican influence incorporated into their food!

As a long time previous employee, this was a Butte staple and was the first place my family and I would go to eat over anything! And I'm sad to say, I was recently visiting Family In Butte, and come to find out there only open on Monday through Friday.... I came Monday around 11a.m and it was a ghost town... So I gave it an hr and was disappointed to find out it was still closed! And I know who is the culprit for the downfall of this Butte tradition and staple... It's Bill wheeler! Running it into the ground as he did the Goldrush and ruining His father's legacy "Doc wheeler" Sad! I bet in less then a year this Great staple of Butte montana will be long gone....

Hit El Taco on the way through Butte, I would give this place zero stars if I could. Nowhere close to anything Mexican, workers know nothing about Mexican cuisine, and the food was absolutely disgusting. If you’ve never been here, avoid it. If you’re one of the people keeping this place in business, ya nasty.

Such good service I had to review! The lady at the counter this late afternoon was genuinely pleasant. She was also accurate and efficient! Was excited to get home and find my entire order was exactly as I asked. Food was great and it was hot when I got home. Did I mention that they haven't raised their prices to ludicrous levels? I gotta say... The big chain fast food restaurants could learn a thing or two from this local establishment. Thanks El Taco!

Honestly, I don't even know why this place exist. I would rather it be torn down and remade into a Taco John's or another Taco Bell. Yes, it is that terrible to me. Maybe I'm spoiled because I had authentic Hispanic food or even had better Amercan-Mexican food, but the community of Butte needs to stop supporting this place

The food was cheap, which was good because it wasn't as good as the hype said. I could have made better burrito at home. One good thing was that there was lots of seating open and they have diet Dr. Pepper, my favorite.

Love this place. It has been around for a long time and is still as fantastic as it always has been. I could eat here every day. Every item is excellent. My fave are the spicy spuds with cheese. Nachos Supreme are amazing too. It's a great place to bring the kids. They've shortened their hours, So make sure you find out when they're open. I hope they go back to full time!!

I love this place back in the '70s I hope they aren't trying to run into the ground all the wheelers are great guys I just miss getting a couple of soft shells and spicy spuds with cheese sitting in the garage in the 88 Cent Store watching the drag

Hours are very limited and now close at 4pm so it puts a damper on availability. Other than that the service was great and the food was very delicious. Just loved the chicken quesadilla topped!

Tots and cheese will do for potato oles replacement in a pinch. Other than that very much American Mexican. Parking is a little tight if you have a long bed.

Food has gone WAY down hill. Got potatoes and ordered nacho cheese and olives on top, barely any cheese and three olives. Used to be so good but its terrible now.

Taco Nasty should be the real name of this establishment. I hate that people would think this is Mexican food. I ordered enchiladas and got what looked like dog food. The so called potatoes were straight out of the frozen tator tots bag. Please do yourself a favor and skip this one.

I would absolutely love to see this place get built up in the community again, to the point where we could see a food tent, truck, or new location opened. The food is always made fresh on site, and it is amazing to eat, I love it!!

How cute is this place! We got the tacolada, was perfect to share or for a heart appetite, the enchilada sauce had a bit of spice and was excellent!

Despite looking basic the tacos were pretty damg good. I don't know what they use for beans but I can safely say I enjoyed them despite hating them, prices were surprisingly lower than expected too.

i love its originality! Some of the same employees have been there for years and its nice to see familiar faces. Plus even though dining inn is a little chilly, it still feels like im in mexico :)

Food was cold. Cheese isn’t even melted into the beans! Not impressed with the quality

I really liked the food they had, but in my opinion it's overpriced for what you receive. I will probably try it on occasion.

One of last best taco joints from when I was young great place nice helpful clean and courteous, fast and fair priced for your buck

I'd skip this one. The food is simply not good. All I can think of is hospital cafeteria food. The employees were great.

Surprisingly good food and decent value. Still fast food, but quality ingredients. Actually uses real beef! Don't miss the melted taco. Worth it!
