Hidden gem. Order the Thai style mantis prawn: it comes with cashew nuts, jiu hu and all kinds of crunchy yummy bits. Everything else is good. And reasonable price. Worth traveling one hour across the bridge and braving some traffic just to come here. Bonus: stand near the kitchen and watch Ah Keat slam out the dishes in 30 seconds. His performance is better than watching MasterChef

Service was good and food arrived fast despite the place is packed during weekend dinner time. Taste was okay - stir fry porridge, fried chicken and vegetables with oyster sauce is quite salty to be honest, need to remind the waitress less salt on next visit. Price range is affordable (at market price) considering the generous portion. Paid RM108 for a meal of 5 adults + 3 young children without a seafood dish.

Visited the restaurant a few years ago, and back then, it provided a good dining experience. However, the restaurant fell short of expectations during today's visit. 1. Steamed Grouper: The fish was fresh, and the steaming method allowed its natural flavors to shine through. The flesh was tender and succulent, making each bite a delight. 2. One Pork Rib: The pork rib dish was prepared differently than expected. Instead of being baked, it was cooked with sauce. This deviation from the desired baking process resulted in the dish lacking the anticipated crispiness and depth of flavor typically associated with a perfectly baked pork rib. 3. Steamed Frog with Chicken Essence: Unfortunately, the dish was disappointing. It lacked taste and failed to deliver the expected flavors. Despite the addition of chicken essence, the flavors did not come together as expected. 4. Steamed Lala with Lime: It featured a refreshing and sour sauce. The tanginess of the lime complemented the flavors of the lala well, creating a pleasant contrast. However, the lala was overcooked, which affected its texture and made it slightly chewy. 5. Thai Pork Knuckle: Mediocre taste. The pork knuckle appeared to be cooked first and then fried, rather than being fried directly. So the dish lacked sufficient crispiness and flavor. 6. Signature Fried Tofu: The tofu was well-cooked, with a crispy exterior and a soft interior. The flavors were well-balanced, and the dish had a satisfying texture. 7. Fried Choy Tam: The vegetables were cooked well, retaining their vibrant green color and crispness.

Taste is alright but the food is not hot served (not sure why). Serving speed is extremely fast. Price is affordable. Not bad experience.

A 3.5 star rating in my book. Ordered takeaway on a Saturday evening, arrived within the estimated time. Obviously can’t speak to the environment of the restaurant itself. I enjoyed the food. Nothing was amazing, but all pretty well cooked and flavourful. My favourite was probably the salted egg sotong - not quite as crispy as I’d like, but to be expect after sitting in a takeaway box for 10-15 minutes. The crab meat fried rice was fairly standard fried rice though I’m not sure the crab meat really brought anything to the dish. I’ve never had “Thai style jelly” so wasn’t sure what to expect, but found it quite refreshing. Overall, an enjoyable meal at a reasonable price. I’d certainly eat there again (perhaps in person next time), though I wouldn’t waste my money on the crab meat fried rice and order a different one instead. Return visit: Ate at the restaurant in the early evening. Fast service. Decent quality food - definitely better fresh than takeaway of course. The highlight for me was probably the Thai style mantis prawns.

Had been buying food thru Grab and Food Panda frequently, managed to give a visit and it was worth it. Service was very good, friendly lady staff. The food was served in 10 minutes or less. Super fast. Food price is worth the food and portion.

Must try, delicious and best value for money. Will come again. Good variety and their thai style dish delicious too. Recommend their seafood. 👍

Nice food with reasonable price. Highly recommend signature stir fried squid and fried eggplant with plum sauce. Sometimes may a bit crowded but the food serve not taking too long time. Ah Keat had became my1st family gathering point.

Been coming here three times in a year for more than 15 years until covid strikes . Yesterday I flew over to Butterworth after not been here for 3 -4 years again and came here for dinner . I ordered Hor fan (大板） - 8/10 Steam pomfret - 5/10 (not fresh) Sea cucumber with fish maw - 6/10 (ingredients is of low quality) 帝王菜 - 8/10

As of most of the restaurant along Raja Uda road, the parking is limited, went there on 3rd of CNY, meals served quite fast which is unexpected at first, but then the food were cold, suspected pre cook, non of them feel outstanding or rather not meet our expectations. Except the shrimp omelette, salted eggs Craps were overpriced IMHO, not sure is because of CNY price hike but surely not worth the price paid.
