DO NOT GO HERE. My friend and I came in and asked for the drinks menu, the bartender said he didn't have one (huge lie because they later brought out the menu when we disputed the massively overpriced bill, to be explained later). We asked for 2 martinis and asked the price, he said 145 pounds each and we said that back to him and he confirmed and said 145 again. We finished our drinks and the bill comes out to 1,445 pounds. $58 for 2 mediocre cocktails... They charged us even more for 2 "shots" of vodka and 2 of martini, which these drinks did not have 2 shots each. We dispute this and after 20 minutes of waiting and them giving us the run around, finally we speak to the 3rd manager (the other 2 were useless and kept getting their managers). They finally magically produce the menu that didn't exist before and the drinks were 600 pounds each (still absurb compared to every other nice place we had been to. We could have gotten 2 bottles of imported wine for this price). In the end we were sick of being played around with and just wanted to leave and ended up paying the 1,200 pounds (still $48). I advise everyone reading this, DO NOT GO. If I could I would give negative stars. You will be lied to, over charged and they will treat you like an idiot without respect.

The current management are just running a blatant scam at this moment. How the scam works is they tell you no menu, verbally tell you a fake price (telling people a cocktail costs 145 EGP) but in checkout they reveal the menu and tell you real exaggerated price. If you face this scam (and you will) call the consumer protection Agency 19588

Horrible staff. Honestly i don’t understand the way these people think or operate. I mean, I have 2.4M followers. Should I put them on blast for their rudeness?! What’s even sadder is that in my 1 week every ~5 years in this country I came to expect to have horrible service one place or another. But I’ll tell you this much, it’s worth punishing bad actors. How else are things ever going to get better? AVOID!

Okay so heads up, for anyone who dresses alternatively or has piercings and such, this place is not for you, they asked us to leave in the most backwards way possible claiming that we didn’t have a reservation when for the last 30 something minutes we were sat there a reservation was never asked for or even mentioned; they immediately sat us down when we walked in and didn’t mention that they’ll check which places are available for us to sit. So generally while some of the staff were polite enough, the majority were talking in hushed voices by the bar and eyeing us. Other than that, the place is nice and the bathrooms are clean but everything on the menu is extremely overpriced for using local liquor and a lot of basic cocktails weren’t available on the menu. Ultimately, I don’t recommend.

Came here last night with my partner. We came by on Thursday night after 10pm and was told by the host that they did not have any seating because they were quite busy. We asked to go have drinks at the bar and host said yes but they’re quite packed. We still decided to check it out. Turns out the place was 80% vacant and then the host walked us over to a corner of the bar and had us seat in the most uncomfortable area of the bar in front of a pillar. I found this to be quite upsetting. They just said it was too busy for food and drinks but that they’ll squeeze us in, then see empty tables EVERYWHERE and then made us sit at the edge of a corner of the bar when there were at least 7 other open seats available at the bar no problem. The drinks are more expensive than other bars we checked out in the areas but the alcohol was extremely light-handed. Cocktails were like juice, and I consider myself extremely lightweight but I honestly preferred this type of drink. Many from the US would be annoyed by the weak drinks. Atmosphere was cozier and quieter than expected, especially after being told it was a packed house. TLDR: Host made me feel unwelcome, told us it was packed but it wasn’t as if he did not want us to come in, then eventually put us into an uncomfortable corner of the bar, literal corner where the posts rest on the bar counter. One of the only times in Egypt where we felt incredibly unwelcome. Everyone working at that bar should learn have a brighter attitude. Either they didn’t like Asians or they thought we weren’t good enough. Never felt like this ANYWHERE else.

Sad that a place like that with all the great history goes downhill. The place still looks the same with some upgrades. The most important is the food, def not the same quality as it was before. Not only that, the fillet used to be delicious soft and buttery instead they got a horrible cut of steak hard and chewy and served it as if it's fillet.. and the waiter who's clueless argues that it's the same kind of meat!

Terrible experience at this place. The waiter told us there was no menu for the drinks and was very blurry when it came to giving a fixed price for beers. At some point we settled for a price (way to expensive). However when the bill came, we were overcharged for the beers (+20EGP each) + there were other unexplained additional costs, bringing the bill to 485EGP for only 3 beers We had to fight with the management for 20mn to pay for the "real" price (365EGP) One of the worst experience after our 2 weeks in Egypt. I highly advise you not to stop at this place !

As some of the other recent reviews have stated, the prices are outrageous here. Staff is nice enough and they give you salty snacks with your drinks but it's not worth the total cost.

Don’t go here. Came in and asked for a cocktail menu and was told they didn’t have one. Asked for two martinis and asked the price and the bartender said 145LE which we thought was actually really cheap. Bill comes in at 1445LE ($58 USD!) for two cocktails. Front of desk Sherif was very nice and trying to make it right… bar manager Khalid was terribly rude. Ended up paying less but still far overpaying. Based on other reviews, this is common practice here. I am Egyptian-American and I suggest going to any of the nicer Zamalek spots for a (far cheaper) cocktail with less headache.

They provided complimentary snacks which is very nice and have good draft beer. Here is good to have 2nd round for beer time after have big dinner in zamalek. service is okay but sometimes the security infront of pub annoyed customers by asking us reservation while there are a lot of available seats. Mood is so excellent with cozy interiors and lights. In summary : I will visit again when I have dinner in zamalek for 2nd round.

This is the worst and rudest place i've seen thus far in all of Egypt. We called and verified ahead of time that no reservation was necessary. After making the trip there, the doorman tells the place has a max capacity of 30 people which they have reached. Then after complaining, mangement had a different story to tell which is a max capacity of 50 people. They obviously carry no customer service whatsoever there. Their apology was to welcome us in with a minimum charge of 400 egp for bar seqts! I would avoid this place at all costs if you're looking for somewhere cozy to spend your night.

As the name implies, an underground bar with wood interiors, feels warm, with dim lights, mostly high chair seating, and a bit tight space. They play excellent music style that fits the atmosphere, not too loud, but pretty enjoyable. The crowd is mature and tres chic. A great place to meet friends over drinks and tasty food sides.
