We
visited
here
on
two
occasions
in
October,
and
feel
somewhat
guilty
as
the
service
is
absolutely
stellar
I
must
say
(apart
from
one
chap
on
front
desk
whose
name
escapes
me
-
Yousif
maybe?).
Nevertheless,
the
hotel,
situated
in
downtown
Cairo,
is
an
expensive
one.
We
paid
in
total
around
$250
a
night,
and
when
we
pay
that
much
for
a
hotel
whether
it's
4
or
5
star,
you
expect
a
stellar
hotel.
Furthermore,
it's
a
Steigenberger.
Nevertheless,
the
hotel
doesn't
live
up
to
the
name.
If
you
want
a
restless
night
due
to
the
blazing
horns
outside,
this
place
is
for
you.
Decibels
on
average
are
around
55
and
go
up
to
70,
and
yes
I
did
measure
as
I
thought
I
was
going
insane
around
midnight.
The
hotel
clearly
haven't
done
adequate
work
in
soundproofing
the
rooms
and
when
you
consider
it's
location,
this
is
paramount.
After
our
first
night,
we
informed
the
manager
(well,
actually,
the
manager
forced
it
out
of
us),
about
our
restless
sleep.
We
had
stayed
in
the
Junior
suite
(paid
extra)
as
when
we
had
arrived,
the
room
was
not
ready.
The
manager
told
us
that
he
would
upgrade
us
for
our
next
day
so
naturally,
we
were
somewhat
relieved.
However,
when
we
arrived
for
our
next
day,
we
met
with
the
Guest
Relations
manager,
forget
her
name
but
a
lovely
lady,
who
informed
us
she
had
sorted
everything
and
upgraded
us,
only
to
find
us
in
the
same
type
of
room
-
Junior
Suite
-
but
lower
down
meaning
that
we
were
even
close
to
the
busy
road.
So
much
for
our
'problem
being
sorted'.
Anyway,
that
was
just
our
situation,
but
if
you
are
a
light
sleeper,
this
is
not
the
place
for
you.
Furthermore,
there
are
several
other
hotels
in
the
same
district
which
charge
a
similar
price
for
a
much
higher
quality
hotel.
