Blue
Nile
is
an
out-of-service
ship
that
is
docked
on
a
shore
facing
the
Ritz-Carlton
in
the
River
Nile
in
Cairo,
on
the
island
of
Zamalek.
There
are
three
restaurants
in
the
ship:
a
Lebanese
restaurant,
an
Egyptian
restaurant
and
a
bar
at
the
top,
open
deck,
which
they
call
"Moon
Deck".
A
belly
dance
takes
place
every
morning
at
0130
and
last
for
one
hour
in
the
Egyptian
restaurant.
But
in
order
to
be
there
for
that
you
have
to
order
food
for
EGP500
or
more
per
head.
That
is
very
expensive!
The
menu
is
very
expensive
on
the
whole.
It's
very
congested.
If
you're
sat
at
a
table
and
someone
occupied
the
table
behind
you,
their
chairs
will
bump
into
yours
and
there
will
be
no
way
for
anyone
to
get
out
of
their
chairs
unless
everyone
decides
to
leave.
Since
the
ship
is
docked
in
the
Nile,
one
can
see
the
activity
in
the
river
if
one
is
seated
next
to
a
window.
But
the
atmosphere
inside
is
bent
to
keep
the
outside
world
out.
There
was
an
advertisement
outside
that
showed
ten
dishes
for
EGP130.
That
was
a
blatant
lie.
There
was
no
such
deal
inside.
The
bill
included
taxes
and
service
charges
and
some
other
fee
as
well.
