Pepenero is one of few authentic Italian restaurants in Cairo. Definitely my way to go when craving delicious Italian pizza. This time, I tried their pasta & they didn't disappoint me as always. Their spinach cannelloni is amazing & aubergine pasta sauce was so delicious. I wish their portions for cannelloni was a bit bigger. Don't miss this place for true authentic Italian cuisine!

Well reservation is a must, We have tried before to dine in without reservation and they refused, this time I have booked a table indoor as it was a cold day and believe me it is much more better than balcony one to avoid the noise and smell of exhausts coming from the street. Well for daughter we asked if they can make spaghetti red sauce with grilled chicken and my wife (who is a pasta lover) ordered for her first time ever risotto with mushroom and chicken (they forgot the chicken by the way) and for me I had pizza burratta and I was expecting it to be like the one I had used to eat in Italy (see my last review in Milan) and also had chicken crean soup and was perfect and I couldn’t finish it because my lovely daughter and wife had took it for themselves. Also as an appetizer we had salad bar plate where we had found a variety of salads and bread.. we really enjoyed it ( if we will ever come again I will only order salad and soup) and as compliment we had bread with tomatensalat. I was half full after the salad and couldn’t finish half of the pizza and burratta was not like expected my daughter enjoyed her pasta and my wife won’t eat risotto again 😀 What we had enjoyed more is the atmosphere ,warm hospitality and the friendly staff as food is not always a priority. The toilets are clean but need to change the tap handle.

Haven't try much of it's food, but all in all it was a nice experience. The place is magical, a hidden gem in El Korba. The ambience tend to be more warmer. Indoor and Outdoor area which to me felt a bit noisy due to the main street. Ordered a Salamy pizza, it was nice. Crust was thin and the edges tasted more like the Napolitana. Tomatoes with Mozarella was yummy. I'll definitely give it a second chance for Pasta. Reservation seemed to a Must, but I visited without Reservation and was lucky to find a place.

And Finally could truly say enjoyed the Italian kitchen with a Perfect pizza ever!? The bruschetta was perfect and pizza was crusted and light. I just hope they add more basil to it and cut the 12% service it not that wow though.

I came to try this place because I saw all the reviews so was super excited about the pizza but unfortunately it’s overhyped. The food was really bland and the pizza wasn’t thoroughly cooked through. The carpaccio was pretty good but the lasagna and pizza were a miss. Had we not been absolutely starving.. not sure we would have eaten it. However, the service was incredible.

A gem of an Italian restaurant located in the heart of Korba, Heliopolis. Everything was perfect, from the atmosphere to the warm welcome to the extraordinary dishes. We ordered 5 dishes and each one was flavorful, and unique. Best dish was the Risotto. Prices are GREAT for such outstanding quality.

The location is amazing even though it is a bit hard to find with no sign until you get inside the hallway that leads upstairs. Amazing historic building. The food was good with generous portions and cooked to order. The fresh mozzarella was delicious.

Anyway, Here's my 2 cents about it. the view is astoundingly nice it is a 2nd-floor restaurant with in/outdoor area, I usually sit outdoors, it is a large balcony with copacetic modern decoration and it can be heavenly relaxing at night they light up small red candles on your table and this was very romantic and relaxing with the moon over your head and the gentle wind breeze cool your face. The place also wasn't crowded at all the hygiene level is good. The food was blandly flavourless, especially their Pepenero pizza, the chicken was as if it's boiled and not seasoned at all! Yet the dough was very nice, and soft and had that crunchy chewy crust, the tomato salsa was rich, and the mozzarella or the burrata (I'm not sure) was perfffect! But overall, the pizza didn't hit the spot for me at all. I also ordered their chicken fillet with rosemary cream and penne plate, and it was actually very nice! I can tell that they are using fresh rosemary, and the sauce was very rich and flavorsome, the chicken wasn't seasoned again. But here in this plate I actually prefer it to be not seasoned, because otherwise it will be powerfully briny and each ingredient won't be distinguished. I previously tried their lasagna and I personally like it sm but I believe that it won't be liked by everyone because they use very rich tomato sauce so if you don't like the strong tomato salsa taste don't order it, They also have a nice gesture, they serve a delicious welcoming appetizer for you before the meal, along with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. My final verdict (after trying it twice) it is overhyped, the food was mediocre! You can go there for the view and the vibe only if you wish, but not for their food. The prices weren't that cheap, it was relatively high, to be honest. Also, the menu was super hard to read 😂 please simplify it a lil bit.

We had pizza and caprese. Pizza dough is "poolish", which is fermented prior to leaving to rise. It was perfect, it shows in the texture and cross-section. Bread was freshly baked. The served olive oil is aromatic. Caprese was a bit shy on basil. Only missing item is freshly ground black pepper. Friendly service. Unique atmosphere and view for Korba.

Perfect for romantic dates. Very overpriced tho. Food tastes so good but relatively small quantities.

High quality Italian recipes. Prices is very reasonable to quality as you will not just experience Italian recipes, but the ingredients also are original recipes ingredients. If you love Italian food specially pasta and pizza I recommend this place for you and you will never regret. Also, place is quite, the out door is fantastic. Service is very good. Decorations are retro style you feel like old Cairo, I love it so much. Service is fast you don't have to wait much. Also some small details like olive oil and vinegar on table were cute. Prices are higher than average restaurants but value for money. Wish that you enjoy experience there.

*Small cozy place with beautiful warm atmosphere. *The only issue was that the AC wasn't working properly and it was humid and hot. *Kid friendly place, there's a small (yet full of toys and varieties) playing area and a nice young lady inside taking care of the kids. *They offer kid cutlery along with the kids meals, which is very convenient and easy for kids to use. *They welcome you by offering Bruschetta (bread with tomatoes and garlic mix) which is very tasty. *The portions are quite enough, some might even say large quantity. *The staff is friendly and helpful. *I would highly recommend this place, felt like home with great food and the kids playing around.

We chose to sit in the outdoor area, can be loud if a motorcycle passes by or something but overall an amazing experience. We ordered a seafood spaghetti plate and we also ordered a salami pizza with two cherry colas two drink. The restaurant offered us two pieces of bread and we payed 700-800 EGP. Great food and beautiful atmosphere with nod decoration, the staff are friendly and bring the food promptly. They have extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar imported from Italy. We had lasagna and ravioli primavera, and homemade panacotta for dessert. It was all delicious.

The place is great and the staff were amazingly friendly, welcoming and accommodating. As for the food, it was well prepared, arrived quickly and tasted delicious. I got the Lemon Veal, the sauce was very well balanced and the pesto pasta was great. Even though we went in without a reservation, they made sure we were seated shortly and checked with the patrons who haven't arrived yet to perhaps find us a table faster. Overall one of the better experiences I've had and I definitely recommend this place

I’ve been searching for an authentic tiramisu in Cairo for a while. I wasn’t disappointed. Not overly sweet, made with mascarpone. It would be 100% perfect if not the cocoa dusting. 150egp worth it! 🤎 would definitely come again for this delicious dessert. Also had ravioli and porcini risotto. Big portions and nice taste.

The general atmosphere is very nice with chill music and decent service from the staff. Their interiors are mediocre, with a mix and match of urban/industrial/Scandinavian styles. I just had a few notes, with their price point you'd expect much more, but let's start with their plates. I mean their china is noticeably distressed. The shrimp pasta was so delicious, and I would recommend it but 5 small pieces of shrimp? It's honestly ridiculous, but their pizza was heavenly tho and I would definitely eat that bruschetta again and again.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Cairo. A lot of vegan/vegetarian options and they indicate so in the menu. Extremely friendly staff. Can be a great spot for a romantic dinner. Family friendly as well with a play room for the kids. The Godfather ice tea is a must. They use high quality cheese in everything. The pizza is so simple yet so delicious(the Italian way). The desserts are great as especially the tiramisu. This is my go to place for a nice outing. Best price to quality ratio from my point of view. I recommend you reserve first for a guaranteed spot, especially on weekends.
