Diwan Bookstore

Book store

👍👍 As a bibliophile and foreigner, I love what Diwan Bookstore has in store. Its layout feels like a library at home. There is a cafe at the center section offering seats to souls who can’t wait to rip open the newly purchased book while sipping a decent cup of coffee. Almost all the staff speak Englis... People often mention books, book, coffee, cafe, small, love, store, English, atmosphere,

My favorite book Corner ever.. My warm home, my cozy side of life. I had visited this place for first time in 2014 by chance.. Today it was my 1000 thousand one i think! The book Store in which you find anything you need, Amazing service, well organized, the fantastic atmosphere, low tone amazing music and many books for sure. And you can search about any book you need by the computer there, the only place in cairo which have those huge amount of english books. The most of translated books maybe more expensive than Tanmia bookstore but it's okay. And now diwan are the main publisher of Naguib mahfouz's books. I don't like the design but we have to accept that. They have small and good cafe for working and reading ( please don't have a date there ) don't speak loudly and be 🤐 if you are there. Good drinks with enough cost. I have ordered french coffee, and it was fair. Organization ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service of book store ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decor ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Variety of books ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Drinks ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service of cafe ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Time of working ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Music ⭐⭐

Cool bookstore with a wide selection in Arabic and English, plus some German and French. Lots of AUC Press titles especially -- great for Egyptian history, ancient or Islamic eras.

An integrated and comprehensive library of all kinds of books for children and adults in all disciplines and fields. The place is elegant and antique and contains a small coffee shop that adds to the elegance and beauty of the place They have another branch in the city centre. The place is new and modern and well worth a visit.

Contemporary standard library with a coffee reading area and gift shop. Good for short isolation and book shopping.

Diwan is one of my favorite bookstores. Zamalek branch although is very crowded but it is the first diwan branch to me. the new coffee area isn't very suitable for the area of the branch and make a lot of noise, they really should reconsider it.

Amazing experience, I love this place, and I'm losing track of time when I go there Still pricey, and you can not get many offers, but you'll have so much fun, and if you're searching for English books, you'll find them there

The library is amazing with a great selection of books. There is a little cafe there with a small bar that offers coffee and some snacks. It is a very cozy place. I am a regular visitor to the cafe. I usually drink coffee and study there and I never regret it. Only downside is that the cafe is a bit expensive.

I love it here. You can browse their huge selection of books (English/ Arabic/ Kids) and enjoy a coffee. It’s the only time you won’t get hassled in Egypt! 🤣

A very special place bringing the best of Egyptian culture together with the best of new and classic world literature in English. I wish I read Arabic but can’t - so the next best thing here is the collection Arabic literature with excellent translations and I am reading a couple of those now.. The in store cafe has much more soul than normal corporate bookshop coffee corners and there is even a good collection of essential oils and special Egyptian things not usually found in such a nice atmosphere.

Diwan has always been one of my favourite book stores. They have a very decent collection of English books as well as a section for children but I was slightly disappointed when I visited to find that they decreased the size of the Arabic section to add a few seating areas.

I love this particular bookshop because it has a special kind of ambient. I took my daughter ever since she was a toddler there to explore new books and it became our small tradition. They have a small kids table with chairs and great repertoire of books for all interests.
