Stunningly beautiful view of Cairo, definitely worth experiencing. Only negatives are long wait time (visited a couple days after the last day of Eid so people still on holiday) and also had to pay for masks to enter, yet when we reached the top of the tower there wasn’t a mask in sight, none of the workers were wearing one and it wasn’t enforced so obviously just a scam to make more money which was very annoying.

Beautiful tower with beautiful architectural design, it’s the highest building in Egypt and has an observation deck on top of it with very beautiful views of Cairo, and also it has a restaurant and a cafe as well, but for me the ticket is too expensive for what’s offered, you pay 13$ for only seeing some views from the top of the tower only, which was beautiful but not that worthy, so as an activity i would recommend considering it if you don’t mind paying 13$ for only some views of Cairo, but if you expect more than only that then I’d recommend you to pass it.

Very fun experience in Cairo, the views are amazing. You can see so much of the city when you are outside on the viewing deck. Delicious snacks at the Sky Window cafe.

It has amazing view. Ticket has a high price but the view is worth it. Unfortunately there's only one elevator there so you may wait for an hour or more to go up or down (specially on weekends). I visited twice during working days on winter so it took me around 20 minutes to go up. You also have to pay extra money if you're bringing a professional camera but mobile camera is fine. You should also try the rotating restaurant there, view is closer and clearer. The prices of the restaurant were reasonable to be honest. I wouldn't mind going there again and take more pictures instead of the ones I lost❤️

We visited the Cairo tower and the revolving restaurant at lunchtime today and it was one of a kind experience in Cairo, although as not significant as the pyramids. Entry to the tower with an express ticket costs 250 Egyptian pounds which gives you priority access to the lifts. On top of that you also pay 300 Egyptian pounds per person as a down payment for the food which you then redeem from the bill. One condition for the tower is that you can't visit alone so you must either go to the top with a group or a partner. The views once you get there are amazing and worth the wait. Highly recommended!

Cairo Tower is a very distinctive landmark on the landscape of Cairo. You can't mistake it for anything else on the skyline. The area at the bottom of the tower consists of a restaurant and sheesha bar which is lovely before or after you go up to the observation deck. Cairo tower also has a rotating restaurant just below the observation deck. It's a really interesting experience to see a 360 view of Cairo as you eat and drink. The food in the restaurant is good but a bit overpriced considering the fees you pay just to enter the tower. Once you get up to the observation deck the views are phenomenal. Beyond anything I've seen. Even better than the views of the Willis Tower in Chicago USA. It is definitely a place I recommend that you go to if you visit Egypt. If you go, go at sunset. You won't be disappointed.

Really cool experience, the tower has a terrace where you can go outside on a 360 degree platform to get an amazing view of the city. Great place to take some pictures and videos. The tower also has a restaurant that rotates around, giving you another really unique aspect of the experience. The tower was much higher than I anticipated, I really enjoyed the time I spent here and I would definitely recommend visiting the tower and going to the top.

Just rating the outside view of the tower. Haven’t had the opportunity to see the inside. It is very beautiful even from a distance. Zooming in shows exactly how much structure was used to create this building. Well done!

Worth doing for the views at least once. You have to book tickets for entrance fee to the Tower and there is a minimum spend if you decide to dine at the revolving restaurant like we did, but it’s not expensive. They try to sell you more expensive tickets to jump the queues to get up and down, but if you buy the dinner ticket you get priority access anyway, so be careful on that. The views of the Nile and the traffic and the neon lights are great at night as this way you don’t see the amount rubble and building works going on around the city that are clearly visible during the day!

Bought tickets at the booth for 250EGP each as a foreigner and you get a number to queue to go up the tower. We waited 1 hour for our number to be announced, to be let into the waiting area where we waited for another 30 minutes. They fill the elevator full of people (there are no views in the lift and gets quite stuffy) and when you get out there's two flights of stairs. The say I went it was pretty smoggy so I couldn't see the pyramids.. But got a good sense of the city and different iconic buildings. There are staff in costumes to try to sell you photos. You spend about 10 minutes there and it's a small area to walk around. People smoke in the cafe so the whole floor gets quite stuffy. Not worth it unless you have some time to spare.

The revolving restaurant in the tower is so elegant and cozy place. The move of the restaurant is so slow so you can enjoy the scene of all Cairo as you wish. The food is tasty but it could be better and the service is good. Price is convenient to the service, it’s 250 LE as minimum charge which doesn’t include the ticket of tower entry itself. The menu has a good variety. You can reserve your table by phone before going.

The tower gives you a splendid view of Cairo from the top of the tower and has 62 floors. I think it’s better to go over there at night in order to see the Nile and the heavy traffic in the streets. Highly recommended the tickets cost 200 EGP

Second time going here, amazing experience!! Would def go again. Used to be a single ticket, but now have express options by lurching vouchers for the restaurants. About 200egp for foreigners 150-300 per person for express vouchers. Let's you go in immediately and use the value of the express vouchers at the restaurant. Buying the right itself can take a while up to 15 minutes, but once you have the tickets it's an easy process to get in and see eat and get done. They insist you purchase masks though almost no one wears them even some employees.

Buy the cheapest ticket if you have time to wait. Just go up and take photos - I wouldn’t bother with the cafe or anything. The views 360 are amazing and I recommend trying to time your visit with sunset. There are some fabulous colour mixes.

The ticket window is at the entrance. After the ticket is bought, you go to the lift and wait until it arrives. You are then sent by lift to the upper deck. The views are breathtaking, and you can see a 360 degrees view of Cairo. There is a restaurant at the upper deck. Once you finish your tour, you wait for the lift to arrive to take you down. The premises of this place has a restaurant and a restroom. Outside this place and very close-by is a tree that is said to be 100s of years old, if not 1000s.

The view the tower had was beautiful. My partner and I enjoyed it so much. Even the waiting downstairs had a good view while you wait. The downside to it is that we had to wait for a while because others kept going in front of us. Aside from that there’s o my 1 ticket you can purchase as a foreigner. And the top was crowded so sometimes it was hard to get around and keep your personal space. But like I said, View was great. We paid 250 ep for person.

The view on top is amazing! You can see all of Cairo from the top and there is a restaurant mid way on the tower. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because we literally waited 2 hours for our turn and also took us a long time to go down as well. If I would go again, I'd go very early in the morning. It's nice but the wait made it not so worth it.

A MUST visit! This is an absolutely magical place where you can see all of Cairo. Absolutely wonderful. The tickets are expensive though and could get really pricey if you have a DSLR or a mirrorless camera. But Cell phones are of course free of charge. The ticket is 200 EGP, and they convince you to get another ticket for 100 EGP that would get you there faster and it would go towards drinks from the coffee shop. Do not under any circumstance buy the 10 EGP telescope access, it is not worth it as they are old and not working properly (also not sanitized) They offer services which we keep refusing, one of them was photography, but when I looked at the photography portfolio of photographer Yahiya I thought they were promising and asked him to take pictures of me and my husband. They pictures were 50 EGP per picture and an additional 10EGP for a digital copy. We collected them at the end of our visit and they were really phenomenal. As a professional photographer, I can attest to the quality of these pictures and nice edits. Beware that they print their logo on the pictures which is an absolute shame given the fact that we paid for them, but we have the originals (which were shot in JPEG not RAW) and I can work with these although it is not really great since they were not RAW. I am taking a star off for the coffee service, we waited for 20 minutes and no waiter came to see us. We then ordered some pastries to go and that was slow too. Another star off because of the crowding in elevator (especially during COVID)- They take about 8 people in the elevator, really small space you are brushing up against everyone else. We were a part of 3 people and with the elevator person it was 4 and that should have been enough to take us up but they had to wait until the elevator was full with three more people on the way up and 4 additional persons on the way down. This was uncomfortable. Not everyone in the elevator was wearing a mask although they were asked to wear one. I would really ask management to consider their elevator policy during COVID and the recent Omicron surge. Or to ask people to provide proof of vaccination before they go up to the elevator.

Don’t get the binoculars ticket, it’s worthless. Bad quality and 45 secs for something you can see better on your phone if you zoom and if you have a DSLR ... well I guess you would never even consider this ticket. As for the “restaurant ticket” ... meh. 4 stars are because of the view, nice staff, and kinda nice ambiance at the entrance. Take it only if you want to look longer at the view from not very clean windows but eat at the entrance restaurants, I’m sure it’s better quality and more fun.

Views are amazing, there is a charge for taking camera with you. The sky cafe tickets come with 150 EGP voucher that you can spend at the sky cafe. But the queues can be really long so time your visit accordingly.

The Cairo Tower is 187 meter in height, built in 1961, is a famous landmark in Cairo. It gives a 360 degree view of the Cairo city, including the Giza Pyramids. Often there are long queues to up, even come down. On a less crowded day we had to wait for 1 hour. There is a restaurant at the top and people going to the restaurant get priority to go up. It's very windy and cold at the top in winter. The view of Cairo city in is very good in the evening.

Lift only way of getting up or down.. presumably stairs if there is a fire.. but not accessible Amazing views from one of the tallest buildings in the city Two restaurants. One “normal” and one that rotates and is very fancy. Around 300 EGP or roughly £7 to stay up for as long as you want Extra 300 if you have a proper camera. But phones are fine.

The Cairo Tower (sometimes called: "The Gezira Tower") is a tower located in the Egyptian capital Cairo, built between 1956 and 1961 of reinforced concrete on the design of the Egyptian lotus flower, designed by engineer Naoum Shebib, and is located in the heart of Cairo on the island of Zamalek in the Nile River Its height reaches 187 meters and is 43 meters higher than the Great Pyramid of Giza. At the top of the Cairo Tower there is a tourist restaurant on a rotating platform that leads the restaurant to see the landmarks of Cairo from all sides. It is one of the most prominent landmarks of Cairo, which is located in the Gezira region, the Cairo Tower, which consists of 16 floors and stands on a base of Aswan granite stones that were previously used by the ancient Egyptians in building their temples and tombs, and it takes the journey inside the tower elevator to reach its end 45 seconds to see when you stand on the top A complete panorama of Cairo, the pyramids, the television building, the Sphinx, the Nile, the Citadel of Salah al-Din, Al-Azhar

Excellent to have a view on the whole egyptian capital. Museums, the citadel, the pyramids of gizeh, the Nile.. all visible from the panoramic view on the last floor. Restaurants and cafe available too in the tower and on the ground floor around the tower with games area for children.

The place pace is amazing, especially during sunset. Unfortunately, we had to wait for about thirty minutes or so to enter. There is a way to skip the line for an amount of money but we didn’t do that, but I seriously think it would’ve been much better. The view is so pretty, you get a panoramic view of the whole city which is quite amazing. Masks are mandatory 😷😷

This is one of the tourist spots in Cairo you could / should erase from your list. Be ready to climb 6 floors in tight / dirty stairs. Once on top… not much to see due to smoke… For us it was a waste of time including the line wait to go up. With the name “Cairo Tower” one would think is well kept and maintained, but as most (if not all) tourist spots in Egypt.. just show their high lack of pride.

I'm writing this review while sitting on the 61st floor. I came alone, then a friend of mine joined me later. My admission went smoothly. As a foreigner i purchased a ticket worth 400 Egp. 250 for admission, and 150 egp voucher for the cafe. The staff were nice and courteous. Remember they are very strict about those who are visiting alone. Because of the suicide incident that happened before. So in order to go to the 62nd floor you must be accompanied by a friend or the family. Single ticket holders cannot go up for safety reasons. The thing i disliked were the windows on the 61st floor. They had dirt and smudge all over and it was hard to snap pics clearly. Remember do not come alone. Bring someone with you to go to the 62nd floor.

It is a very nice experience. You get to see the city panoramic view. It definitely looks beautiful from up there. Few things to keep in mind: 1. It can be very windy up there, so cover yourself if you are someone who feels cold 2. The tickets are a little pricey 3. If you go in a hurry, they will suggest for skip the line tickets which can be a little expensive. Even those will have wait time. We waited for about 20min. You get access to their cafeteria with these though and you can use the tickets’ worth amount for your coffee/food. 4. There is no student discount. 5. It is best to visit in the evening with the lights. 6. They accept cash. Also, it is better to carry some extra cash as they have some cool things at the top of the tower. 7. The guard expects some tip. So, have some small cash on you.

It's a little far away to get here by foot, but would be ok for the most people. For foreigners: Fee for entry ticket is 250 LE Besides which, you can also choose the express plan for 150 LE (the cost of which can be spent in the sky cafe) Or the super express plan for 300 LE (cost can be spent at the sky restaurant) Personally I suggest you to just take the 150 LE plan. I didn't really find any difference between "Express" and "Super express"(maybe it's because currently here's not crowded) And there are also many cheaper and better cafés/bars serving foods at the entrance of the tower. (For the price, the menus in Arabic /English of the sky café are attached besides, you can kindly have a check)

Cairo Tower is one of the most magnificent place in Cairo. It is situated in Zamalek. The view is awesome from there. The only problem is that you cannot go there alone. If you are alone/single then they will allow you go to the restaurant area named Sky Cafe. It's enclosed with glasses. You would be able to see the whole Cairo from there. However, if you are with family or friends or any other then you can go to the top. The view is too good. The city, Nile and the atmosphere. No words. One must visit there. Apart from that the restaurant food is good and not that expensive. I had Caesar salad and a coke under 200 EGP. The ticket for visitors is: Foreigners - 250 EGP Egyptians and Arab Nationals - 70 EGP There are no student discounts as compared to other places in Cairo and Giza.

Nice views, (spend the extra 100egp for the express cafeteria pass), or you will wait a long time to enter. Nice open air top floor. Well above anything else in Cairo. On a clear day you can easily see the pyramids of Giza.

The view from the top was great, worth a visit. However, the waiting times are quite long unless you're willing to pay the premium fee, so be prepared to pay up or wait. Try the cafe on the right-hand side, the food and coffee there are pretty good, will definitely make the waiting enjoyable.

Definitely worth a visit. View's amazing , very friendly staff while Tickets are really affordable (50Egp) .However, I recommend getting the telescope ticket(20 or 30 extra egp) to get to use the telescope found at the top of the tower. Might be hard to find a parking spot though so better use an Uber or Taxi to get there.

A must-go landmark in Egypt. Despite the poor management of the place, I got the feeling that those who work there are trying their best to enhance the experience. People need to be professionally trained or operation should be outsourced. Located in the middle of Zamalek island in Cairo, it used to be the tallest building around. Still, its viewing platform which is located in the 62nd floor, has a stunning 360° of the city and the Nile; arguably the best.

My visit to the Cairo Tower was an incredible experience, offering breathtaking views of the entire city. However, I recommend arriving early to avoid the long wait and cold temperatures. Despite the wait, reaching the top was worth it as I witnessed the sprawling beauty of Cairo from above. Unfortunately, the cold weather made it challenging to stay up there for long, and we had to cut our visit short. I suggest dressing warmly and choosing a day with milder weather to fully enjoy the sights. Despite the cold, the Cairo Tower provides an unforgettable opportunity to see the city from a unique perspective. I visited in 2020.

A magnificent place. This tower offers a stunning view of Cairo. The price charged is affordable for many people. But it is important to note that there is only one elevator to take you to the top of the tower, and the waiting time to go up is long. However, if you consume something in the bar next door, you have instant access to the elevator. It is very worthwhile to climb there. I recommend it to everyone!

I stayed in Giza right next to the pyramids while in Egypt. On the last day I wanted to see what the pyramids looked like from Cairo. I was shocked at how small they looked from the tower. The the main ones are on the all the way right of this image. Just little mounds. Wild. Wild. Wild. Also, did the express pass for the elevator (100 Egyptian extra) but it is then a voucher for the cafe - so you can get a latte or drink-of-choice and enjoy the view dining. The cafe windows are tinted, so the views would be better from there during the day. The top has no windows at all.

The number of collected archaeological artifacts is 111, and a small building was subsequently built in the courtyard of the Al-Hakim Mosque called the "Arab Museum" under the administration of Frantzpasha, who left the service in 1892. The current museum building was inaugurated during the reign of Khedive Abbas Helmy II on December 28, 1903. Then, in 1951, the name of the house was changed to the "Museum of Islamic Art." [2] Description of the museumedit The museum has two entrances, one on the northeastern side and the other on the southeast side, which is in use now. The façade of the museum, overlooking Port Said Street, is distinguished by its Islamic decorations inspired by the Islamic architecture in Egypt in its different eras. The museum consists of two floors; The first contains the exhibition halls, the second contains the warehouses and a basement used as a store and the restoration department. The museum contains many archaeological holdings dating back to the Islamic era, which number up to one hundred thousand antique masterpieces [3] (Original)

A beautiful Tower that you definitely must visit if you come to Cairo. Easy to find and without other people taking you there, just Google it. The view was amazing and the temperature up there pretty normal. The restaurant was also strangefully beautiful if you consider the fact that is moving in circles, All the Time. The best hour for visit is almost at sunset. But be careful the prices on the restaurant and the coffee shop were pretty high for the standards of Cairo

There is not much to tell about the tower itself. I will go for the restaurant. It is underneath the main area, like one floor down. You get via elevator on both of them (7th floor xD). Restaurant itself is pretty simple — round, with many tables and sofas, relaxed atmosphere. You get pretty much the same view, you would from the main zone above you. There is no glass floor, if you wonder

  • 4/5 Amira A. 2 years ago on Google
You can see breathtaking views of Cairo. The view is much better at night. I do not advise going when it is crowded. You take a number for the elevator and you can wait a long time. The elevator is both small and very slow. If you book to eat in the cafe you don't wait in line.

As high locations go, the Cairo Tower is pretty cool. $200EGP gets you through the gate. Be sure to bring your mask or you'll be scrambling back to the pay booth to beg for a not so snazzy $5EGP version before they'll let you on the elevator. Parking is tragic, so best to walk or grab an uber and they'll drop you off in front of security / metal detector. Enjoy!

Amazing and incredible views. Price is 200 for non Egyptian, which is high considering that it's only 10 for locals. Highly recommended at night or sunset

You can get a very nice view of the city of Cairo there are no restaurants there are no coffee shops if you have a fear of heights do not go as it is high and could be a little bit scary on the other hand there are so-called tourist guides that may offer a little bit of information about the tower and when it was built as well as marketing drawings of the tower and even selling your name in Hillographic language

You cannot go to the tower alone. Groups of 2 or more only are allowed entrance, for security reasons. Nice breeze up the tower. Wait was reasonable on a normal week night. You get a number when you buy the ticket. And tower ushers organise your entrance for a smooth flow of the guests. Cafe on top was good. Calm, offers all kind of drinks and a fresh good variety of dessert. Prices are good.

It was hazy the day we went up, but normally would have great views of the city. Lunch in the restaurant opens at 1pm. Lucky it wasn’t too crowded and no wait for the elevator

Just a good view point of Cairo city , the viewing area is bit congested and crowded during weekends. Hence normal ticket may have some wait times for the lift Better to go early mornings or late night as they are open till 12 midnight .I had this at late11;30 and very few crowd was there The binoculars are not free and have to be paid upfront , also the stairs from the top floor to the viewing deck is dirty not organized as supposed for a tourist attraction. It's cool to see the Nile and the Zamarek islands and major landmarks close by from here

Its nice to be up high in Cairo. It gives one a prospective view of this great city, with it's very modern and very ancient districts. Anyone who has stood atop the Citadel or from the upper floors of some of the taller hotels is aware of the grand views that Cairo offers. One of the best views is from the Cairo Tower, located on Gezira Island Zamalek just north of the Museum of Modern Art (which is also very much worth a visit), which provides a panoramic vision of Cairo. From its 187 meters, the Cairo tower offers the most amazing panoramic views of the Egyptian capital. It is advised to go up to the tower's circular observation deck in the late morning or late afternoon for the clearest views of the city. You'll also find a restaurant at the top of the tower. Occasionally, the restaurant revolves around the tower's main axis. The tower was designed by the Egyptian architect, Naoum Chebib. Its completion took 5 years, from 1956 to 1961. Opening Hours: From 8 am to midnight. Recommend for all ages.

We had a great tour of the Cairo Tower today, which offered an incredible view of Cairo, The Nile, and the surrounding area. It happened to be clear enough to see Giza and the Great Pyramids. We also got a beer and a quick snack from the restaurant below the observation level. I suggest you go as soon as they open or on an off day because a large line was forming when we came down. You can easily spend a couple hours here, but that's about it.

It is a concrete tower with a height of 187 m. The modern and beautiful design stands out. It is built on Gezira Island in the Nile River, close to downtown. It can also be seen from other places a short distance from the Egyptian Museum.

Pro Tip: If you go during sunset, definitely buy the “express ticket” to skip the line. Otherwise, you can expect to wait upwards of an hour and a half before getting on the elevator. Otherwise, absolutely worth the view!
