The best and the only international standard hospital in Cairo, Egypt. Part of the Mayo Clinic network. I stayed for 6 days during my ordeal with COVID-19. Very pleasant staff and highly trained and compassionate nurses, but once in while had language issues with some staff not familiar with English.

My uncle was admitted here and never made it back out. They misdiagnosed him with Covid. He was in ICU for his final days and every doctor that came in only wanted money before any further testing could have been done. Pointless tests were done. On his last day they were taking him through a crowded waiting area for a CT Scan and everyone knew he didn’t have much time left. Do NOT bring your loved one here if you’re not prepared to pay upfront or watch them go through countless pointless tests because they are money hungry.

By far the worst hospital we have been to! Unprofessional reception staff and bad service. We called to get a same day appointment and we were told by the reception that they were fully booked but they insisted we show up in the hospital and that they will make room for us between patients. We again made it clear that it is okay if they don't have any availabilities and we can easily just schedule at any other clinic/hospital. They again told us no way and granted they will get us in to see the required doctor. Upon arrival at the hospital approximately at 6 PM the reception kept asking us to wait for 15 minutes so they can register us. 15 minutes passed, and another , and another , until it was 8 Pm until they finally agreed to check us in. The reception then told us that the doctor would take us right in immediately after we checked in at 8. We  waited in the waiting room patiently but as we expected, nothing but more and more patients going in and out ( keeping in mind there were quite a few no shows which we could have easily replaced) . We then again asked the reception if it is going to be a long wait from now and again " only 15 minutes and we'll call you in" . This kept going until we were the last ones in the entire hospital and finally got in at 10:30 PM(by the way hospital closes at 10 PM). Also to add to this mess, the last few patients in the waiting rm(us included), all were on the waiting list , however there were patients that went in before us whom we clearly saw check in AFTER us. Reception then claimed it was the system's fault and whichever name order the system puts, they follow. Now what on Earth is this?! My definition of "system" and " orderliness" is absolutely not what I experienced here. Being sick and staying in a waiting room from 6 PM to 10:30  PM and being told lies and given false hope that I will " go in in 15 minutes" is complete ignorance, disrespect and unprofessionalism.

I visited Seoudi German Hospital on 4th March 2023 at 7:15 pm, I booked with a doctor called Abdel Rahman Mohamed (Blood vessels Section). The doctor once I entered with my wife, he was sitting on his desk we said hi, but he didn't answer, and there are one chair next to his desk, my wife asked the nurse to bring second chair in the room little far from doctor desk to seat with us, suddenly he shouted to the nurse keep the chair in his place and let her seat there by impolite way which is not acceptable at all. Anyhow I had a serious problem in my leg he asked me to do an x-ray, I went to x-ray Section and the receptionist guy asked me to wait for two hours, I told him I can't wait for two hours, he told me go your doctor and let him write urgent in order to do an exceptional for you, I went to the clinic and I asked the doctor to write urgent, but he refused and asked me to wait for two hours, and in my case I have a clot in my leg which is serious & urgent. This doctor behavior was very bad, rude, and impolite, and I visited a lot of branches of Seoudi German Hospital in Dubai. The doctors and staff are very polite except in Cairo, respect is very important. I went to the Director of outpatient clinics his name is Sabri, and I explained to him how the doctor treat the patients, and he asked me to write a complaint, but no action so far, it seems that Cairo Branch is not under control. Please do the necessary to train this doctor how to deal with the patient in a polite way because he represents the hospital, he is not a veterinarian. It is very important to know how to recruit a good doctor.

Very reckless about patient. I had an extreme stomach ache, went to the ER and the doctor did’t even bother actually check on my case, just asked few questions and prescribed my condition wrongly which affected my case further. Waste of time and money over there. Super disappointed from the health care provided. Not even near a hospital!

The most Terrible dentist experience ever. The doctor cold not fix the retainer properly. So basically she could not deal with the easiest problem with teeth. No cure needed just glue the retainer. But no. Unprofessional staff. Never come here if you have real problems.

I lost my grandpa who was the closest person to me in the ER, doctors are oblivious and ignorant, online it says to admit people with aneurysms to an OR asap yet my grandpa was in the ER for three hours and died there, i saw the doctors walking around fast having phone calls,what looked like they were freaking out because there is no surgeon or an available OR. Its so bad to lose someone like this. I am not mad at the hospital only but at this country. We paid 12k after with insurance covering 40%, so it’s about 20k. They spent one hour doing blood tests and another trying to measure his blood pressure because they didn’t trust their equipment, basically i can say if you have any serious emergency don’t go there, unless you don’t care about coming out. A side note google maps shouldn’t be where we post hospital reviews. But what can we do anyway in this country. It’s a lost cause.

Excellent hospital. The staff is very friendly. All of the doctors are extremely knowledgeable and professional. This is a great place to receive some of the best care in Cairo. The prices are a little high, but very reasonable for the service you get. I’ve had 2 surgeries here in the past 3 months and both have been great. Even the food provided after the surgeries was fantastic

I went to emergency at 11 pm hospital toilets are mess, no soap, no tissue …so dirty even though huge hospital Many staff ppl but lots of them do nothing and unwilling to help!! There was paperwork every step of the way, as well. After three more hours, the required scans and tests were done, and my relative should've been moved into a room for the night as they had a fractured hip. Two more hours to move them into their room. Seven hours total to diagnose an EMERGENCY patient and transfer them to their room so they can rest. The nurses are a complete separate mess. Before checking my relative into their room, they wanted to do a full body check to make note of any preexisting bruises, which was fine. The nurses asked my relative to sit up for the examination even though the doctors said that it wasn't indicated. And they were persistent to do it! They also gave her a cocktail of painkillers, and when I asked what medication was given (as my relative is a geriatric patient and some meds are contraindicated) they had no idea what was in the syringe. Overall, unfriendly and unprofessional nurses. Housekeeping also wouldn't respond when called, for 45 minutes. Lunch wasn't served until 7 PM and was only served to the patient, not her accompanying family member, as they claimed that we requested its cancelation. What we actually requested was pureed lunch, because my relative had hit her face when they fell and their teeth were aching, but that was not provided. As geriatric patient, my relative needed some daily medications which the hospital didn't administer. We're not asking for the meds to be free, but they had a prescription of the daily medications, and should've administered them. Also, I think there was a dead cockroach in the bathroom, as the cherry on top. For the asking prices of Saudi German Hospital, the service they provide should be topnotch. For the sake of their patients, they should provide better care. Overall, it was an abysmal experience, and I wouldn't recommend going there, emergency or not.

You will find the main reception in front of you, almost every one speak English. If is your first visit at the German Hospital, you need to have the copy of your Passport, they will give you a card with your number. All the analysis or test you do will be saved on their archive. There is a big parking just for the hospital.

I used to consider it as the only reputable hospital in Egypt and I trusted no other place but them. But in our last visit, we received poor medical advising. Treating physician, Dr Gehan Elsayed, denied during the delivery operation that she is the treating doctor. She left the patient in the delivery operations room for 24 hour due to financial disagreements with the hospital. The anesthesiologist I think his name was Dr Hisham, gave the patient the epidural injection in the wrong position, the thing that led to severe pain in the peripherals. The patient is still suffering from back pain and headache up till now ( two weeks after the delivery). Dr Gehan, the gynecologist, didn’t follow up on the patient after the delivery. Actually she was not in the delivery room when the baby was popping out. This led to a four stitches injury that needs a plastic surgery now. Dr. Mai, another gynecologist was in the delivery room without hair cover or gloves. We didn’t find anyone to answer our questions. The patient left the hospital in a very poor and weak status. She was asked to leave even though she was not feeling good and her blood pressure was 90/50. I contacted Mr. Batreeji, who was understanding and very professional, and he told me he will sort it out. But it seems like the SGH Cairo, does not really follow or care about the headquarters. I used to like this place and consider it the number one health care provider in Egypt, but now I rank them as the worst place ever. I cannot even say they are health care providers. What Dr Gehan made was inhuman and unethical. A side note, the emergency rooms are very dirty. I have found blood stains on beds during my last two visits. I complained and they did nothing. I would not recommend this place to to anyone. Doctors there are very rude they have work ethics and are really inhuman.

One of the worst Hospitals regarding the way they treat patients, nurse was really Rude and when asked to make a complaint she refused to give me her name and one guy showed up acting duty manager and disappeared again. A bad nurses behavior even not a smile, not organized at all and in several departments which i deal with, as for the out patients clinics, internal admissions process- their policies are not clear- tr wrong directions as a patient you do not know your responsibilities , or your right they do not gave any medical expectations or procedural- by the way i did a surgery and this is another story to told- for nursing which is a disaster- as a one day surgery- the nurse came holding in her hand all of medications and stuff for doing blood analysis without a tray or gloves - for the operation procedure normally in any respecting hospitals- they always gave scrub - the nurse came at my room which had the number 124 - through the scrub ( in a package which a least something good) on the trash can and told to wear this ?! My way to the operation room is another comic story of none nursing medical procedure behavior- very bad experience- not recommend

I gave this hospital more than 5 chances, everything in it is just for the show. Receptionist and nurses attitude is so bad ,i even said good morning they didn't say it back like who do you think you are!!!! . Doctors hurry the appointment and don't even listen to all the symptoms, and everytime i got misdiagnosed. Ent doctor saw my ear early that morning and didn't even say that it's infected and gave me vit c and i had complications of otitis media that day because of his ignorance. It looks shiny but trust me Don't spend your money there.
