A must see in Coptic Cairo. The church dates back to the 10th century (or earlier). The current structure was rebuilt following a 1904 fire. Very lovely facility.

Beautiful well preserved church, look for the painting of Jesus on the blue dome on the center of the church. Photos are allowed, also inside.

A must-seen ancient place in old Cairo where history meets religion.

Would recommend a visit to this site. Lots of incredible things to see from the architecture to paintings and other artifacts. Was less busy than some other places in Coptic Cairo which was nice. Has its own unique charm from the other religious properties you're likely to see if you're doing a tour of Coptic Cairo.

The shrine is a beautiful quiet place to reflect. Perhaps to light a candle (the little shop next door sells bundles of votive candles).
