If you wannah get an original egyptian cuisin experience I deffinatly reccomend this place. It’s located in the intercontinantel hotel , has a great atmosphere with live music when we went there , the staff is profesional with great hospitalaty .

Firstly, to avoid confusion, this place is located inside the Intercontinental Hotel, not inside the shopping centre. 5 stars for the staff being super friendly and provides excellent hospitality. Soup was average, appetisers were good and main course was amazing. Cutlery, dishes and utensils caught my eyes as reflecting Egyptian culture. Try the Turkish/Egyptian coffee here too. Highly recommend giving this place a go.

Place was legit, food came fast and the staff worked liked a team. Very respectful and their indoor seating with a/c. Mango juice was fresh and refreshing. My dish (Ox Tail) was on point. Not lying, I’m coming back when i stop over in Cairo again.

Very good restaurant. The food is tasty. A little bit price. The restaurant doesn’t have an AC because it’s open . But the fans they have work well . That’s a very good option for an Egyptian Food

Our group ate at this 5 star restaurant and the food was delicious. The staff was prompt with every request. Management made sure that everything was to our liking because we were unsure of what to order. This restaurant is a must if you are staying at the Intercontinental Cairo Citystars hotel. Our bill was just over $100USD for our party of 5. We will definitely return.

I've had much better Egyptian food experience IN and OUT of Egypt.. The environment is special and services are good enough but food quality is not the best in city.. Fattah is good dish and Hawawshi is tasting good.. However nothing special in the mixed grill and Hamam dishes.

I can honestly say that this is the best Egyptian food restaurant in Cairo. The staff is beyond perfect. Very attentive and detail oriented. They know what you want before you even want it. The food tastes amazing. It is a wonderful experience 😊 Highly recommended

Outstanding. Couldn't be better. Amazing Egyptian food, good portion sizes, delicious flavours, exceptional service. 100% worth coming here. We are coming back for sure. We had one of the green leafy salads, babaganoush, the messaka, and few other things. Bread and dips were great, freshly baked and made. Dessert was incredible and the hibiscus wine was divine. Thank you so much to the team there, and our excellent waiter Emad. All the rave reviews and ratings are well deserved.

We chose this restaurant for convenience to the hotel. The complimentary bread and condiments were very good. The Kostet (ground spiced lamb with roasted veggies) was excellent. It had more lamb than vegetables which should please most Americans. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Easily one of the best restaurants I have eaten at in years, everything is so fresh and made to perfection (temperature, meat tenderness, spices). Very friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, and eco friendly (they use biodegradable utensils). We had their mix grill and stuffed pigeons and they were delicious. Their hummus was very well done as well. PS: Place was very hard to find for me, you have to go through the mall and from the 1st floor only, go through a check point to a hotel lobby where they will be.

Loved loved loved this place. Service and food 10/10. They did their up most best to make my dinner as comfortable and pleasant as possible. I had the Egyptian puff pastry and the pigeon. Both were absolutely excellent. I also had their bread with a topping and they have a green dipping sauce, Greta combination. When I wanted to take the bread with me, they gave me a fresh batch. Next time I'm in Cairo om coming back here for sure

Best Egyptian Authentic food I have ever tasted in my life. Can't Express how much I truly enjoyed the food, not to mention the amazing service. I really recommend coming here, you won't ever regret it. Love the vibe as well. Definitely looking forward to coming again!

The top go to for see some great authentic Egyptian dishes. The menu engineering has been well thought of and the atmosphere is always great. Make sure to try the Lamb Shank with Brown Vermicelli; absolutely mouth watering and probably my go to everytime. Enjoy!

Great place, great atmosphere, great food, and great service from both Yasser Fahmi & Mohammed Ali. The staff is very welcoming. They greet you and seat you as soon as you walk in. The food was something heavenly. Made to perfection. I ordered mixed stuffed vegetables and Hawawshu and both did not disappoint. It is a little hard to find the place because it is in the back yard of the hotel. Your best bet is to go to the hotel lobby and ask them to take you there.

Absolutely delicious food in a fantastic setting, with the best service (thank you Yasser and Mohammed especially!). I ordered the Lamb Kofta with veggies and it arrived on its own miniature grill! My friend had a seafood soup whose broth smelled so good I had to try it— thank goodness for the massive fresh bread basket to dip into it. The service was outstanding, with helpful suggestions and courteous complimentary tastes of sugarcane juice and desserts. Our cocktails were perfect as well, and we ended the night with shisha. Truly a delight; will return again soon!

Outstanding Egyptian food at Al khal. The food here was great we ordered the mixed meats platter as well as the mixed Mahshi platter and some other plates. it was amazing, full of flavour and very fresh. I felt like the food was home made just like how grandma makes it 😁👍👍👍

Nice atmosphere but I was disappointed by the food. I had such high hopes based on all the 5 star reviews but I was not impressed. The food was very bland. I order the stuffed pigeon and oxtail but I would not recommend them. Very disappointed that I took the 30 minute drive from downtown Cairo to come eat here.

Came here with my wife on our last night in Egypt before heading back to the states and it definitely was the best decision to leave a lasting impression of Egypt’s cuisine and hospitality. Everything from the service, food, decor, to classic Arab and Andalusian tunes was perfect. 10 out of 10 - would highly recommend! Would have come back to try the entire menu before leaving had we stumbled on this gem earlier.

Wow this restaurant is amazing! The staff was super friendly, and gave fantastic recommendations. Everything we tried was delicious. The mango juice is an absolute must have - rich, delicious, and fresh. The pita was soft and tender. I ordered the Koshary for my entree, and I loved the array of sauces that came with it. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and everything was fresh and amazing. Highly recommend!

We love trying the local cuisine when we travel. Wonderful selection of authentic Egyptian foods. We experienced the baked pigeon. Who knew those little birds could taste so good?! Not much meat, of course, but plenty of perfectly seasoned rice stuffing. The whole meal was excellent, and accompanied by fresh pita bread and provided by professional and friendly servers.

Didn't stay at hotel or make a reservation for the restaurant. They accepted us as walk-ins and it was fairly quiet at 7:30pm on a Thursday night so we were served fairly quickly. Great service and attention from the waiters. They were accommodating to not only just us but other restaurant goers as well and ensured everyone felt comfortable and welcome. Food was spectacular. Absolutely no complaints. Very high quality and everything was delicious. Highly recommend the molokhia (spinach-based 'soup') — very hearty and it gets made in front of you right next to your table!). We spent about E£500-600 per person with two dishes and a mocktail each. This restaurant is worth every penny. Perfect way to try Egyptian delicacies in a fine dining setting. They take both cash and card.

Wonderful Egyptian restaurant experience to start off our trip in Egypt. The Egyptian food was incredibly delicious. The staff the chefs all came to our table with wonderfully prepared & presented culinary delights. Lead by Ahmed ( manger) servers Mohammed and Gharmal made our night truly a dinner fit for the Pharaohs of Egypt. We will return. Many thanks to all.
