A really cute cafe with traditional brunch food and some westernized Chinese dishes. The food is absolutely delicious, everything is very flavourful. The owner is very nice and accommodating, she went around to every table making sure that everyone was enjoying their food. Even though one of the dishes was not what I was expecting, it was still super yummy. Would definitely come back again.

A cute place and it was a wonderful experience to try the yummy burger and vermicelli dish, and a little chat with Helen, the owner. A real ambience of a local brand. Everything in the house is made from scratch. Nice and clean washroom!

Hidden GEM of the northeast of Calgary near the Airport. This cafe is small but very very clean. I wish I could give the service a six stars out of five, the owners were so kind and personable! They treat everyone like family. The food was AMAZING, everything was fresh and made from scratch. I had the Loco Moco, which was delicious. My sister had the chef omelette and it was loaded and full of flavor. My niece and nephew shared the egg benedict and french toast and finished every bite. French toast was a fav. Good portions! Highly recommend and will be coming back everytime we are in Calgary!

Located in an industrial park-ish area. Offers both western breakfast items and Chinese lunch items. We ordered wonton soup, fried dumplings and Chinese ginger pork combo. Pork was fried with very crunchy shell and tasty sweet&sour sauce. Owner was very friendly and attentive. This restaurant has a lot of returning customers and she remembers what everyone likes. When we were eating there a few customers walked in and she immediately greeted them and asked if they want their usual. Quite impressive.

This cafe is like a mother or auntie who treats you well and feeds you a ton. This place feels like home and the food felt like a higher end home cooked meal. I would definitely recommend this place. Helen was pleasant and an amazing person. Will come again soon!

Fantastic, small family diner that is tucked away in an industrial area. A great place to stop if you have your car being worked on at one of the many nearby shops. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is comfortable and the owners are very friendly. If you are a fan of diner food and culture like I am, this is a place worth visiting. The owners are quite attentive and want to make sure that you leave happy. If you don’t think your meal is up to par, these wonderful people will make any (reasonable) accommodations to make things right. I will absolutely come back to try out more of the menu.

Came by from out of town. This restaurant is close to the Calgary Airport. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We ordered wor wonton, BBQ fried rice, and grilled dumplings. Taste great and homemade!

We ate at Helen's place on our last full day in the area and after our experience, we would have definitely loved to have gone back. Helen was very welcoming and friendly, and the food was great. I always prefer independently owned businesses such as this and we're sad we couldn't be regulars, but hope your deserved good reviews continue to bring in more customers (as it did for us), they will not be dissapointed! A little bit of everything with amazing service and quality. Went here with my sister and our boys and each of us was able to get something we all wanted. There's Vietnamese, Western and even Hawaiian dishes! I had a vermicelli noodle plate and my son the Hawaiian Loco Moco. The woman (who I can only assume is the owner) gave us the most amazing service and was super friendly. Food was served hot, fresh and fast!

I think it deserves the five stars because the food is outstanding, the service is comforting, and the price is reasonable. Their wor wonton soup was delicious and so satisfying

This place is a fantastic brunch spot! I’ve been here twice, a year apart, and nothing changed. Quality of the food is great (simple, tasty food), service is amazing and it a great spot to stop for a quick bite. Helen is a delight, and even remembered which table we sat in the previous visit! I’d suggest grabbing a jar of her chili sauce and some of the dumplings to take home, they are delicious.

I love this place so much already even though this is my first time eating here. We will definitely come back again. I can’t believe that people are missing out this cute, clean and delicious brunch place! They have vegetarian option too.

Such a cute little place with delicious homemade food. I found this place while looking for something homemade and local for brunch. This place definitely delivered. I ordered the cream of mushroom soup of the day and Philly cheese steak. Portions were super generous and food was fresh and delicious. Helen was also lovely and checked in on us multiple times. I’d definitely come back again.

Just had a marvellous lunch today at Helens Place, been coming here for years and I highly recommend this place. Be sure to try the home made chilli sauce and the pork dumplings , you will not be disappointed! A++

In Calgary for few days and we were looking for an all day breakfast spot. This place had great reviews so we tried it and very happy we did! Food, service and atmosphere are fantastic and the prices can’t be beat! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for an all day breakfast spot. If I lived in Calgary I’d be there every week 😄 French Toast was great!

I came here because of a foodie group posting. And they were right about how friendly the owner was. She knew the other patrons by name so they clearly have a regular following. I got the Triple Decker Clubhouse with Fries and the Grilled Dumplings. The Triple Decker Clubhouse was made with homemade turkey meat (owner Helen told me). It was nice and simple. There's a slice of ham, and the cheese was basic American. Overall, I get a sweet undertone from the sandwich, which I suspect is from a spread. It was a nice, homey sandwich. The fries were good. They have a special seasoning like the ones at CB Drive In. The exterior is very crispy with an interior that is still trnder, clearly revealing that they were made fresh to order. The Grilled Dumplings were more doughy than other places. The filling was smaller, but overall, the doughy skin and the thin filling worked well. The meat was very flavorful and better than other dumpling places. Helen's Place is a lovely little mom-and-pop place that is worth supporting.

Secret breakfast and lunch joint - tucked away in the NE. Delightfully friendly service. Food was well done - great portions, flavour and options! Great refuel after a round of golf or running errands in the area.
