What an amazing place. Highly recommended for tourists, kids, adults, well everyone!! The omni theatre was slightly boring and i fell asleep during the “movie” but everything else was great. Exhibits were intellectually stimulating, bringing back memories of the science centre tours I had back in Singapore. Highly recommended.

Amazing place for kids and adults. They have amazing movie shows on dome, live shows, my kids got to interact with dinosaur. The quantum sandbox is an incredible experience for kids. Highly recommend to get annual membership and attend programs. Sparks science interest!

Excellent place to take your kids and expose them to some good ol' science. Lots of interactive exhibits and staff are super friendly and helpful. If you participate in all the exhibits and stations they have available, you could spend the whole day here easily. Lots for adults to participate in as well, so you won't feel left out.

Awesome place for kids. They just love coming back here and so we got the membership that gets you access to a couple of science centers across the country. The quantum sandbox is fun for adults too. I enjoyed the experience there. They have two cafes and the food is good too. We also got to meet a Boston dynamics robot during our visit. Needless to say kids were just crazy seeing a real robot.

I wasn’t overly impressed with this science centre. The staff are not friendly besides the front entrance greeter. The price of admission I think is way to expensive for what you get at 26 dollars and 19 dollars for kids. The food is also way over priced for what you get. The attractions are okay but not impressive, they do have some fun interactive games for the kids. The shows/movies are also okay, the robot dog show was not great we walked out after 10 minutes. I wouldn’t do this place more then once. Also the VR staff say they are busy when there is no one at the VR which is is ridiculous. To go in the junkyard park they will only accept kids with shoes but not sandals. I would say the gift shop has some cool stuff but once again it’s over priced like most gift shops. Parking is only 7 dollars as well.

One of the best place to hangout with your date ;) I’d say this will be our go-to place if we ever have our own kids. This science center boasts a lot of cool exhibits and galleries that will surely spark your imagination and creativity. They also have a big outdoor playground park for your kids to improve their play skills and executive functions! Telus Spark also provides children workshops that targets different life skills including, arts and crafts, drama and acting, media, tools manipulation, fashion and many more! Their cafe offers an amazing selection of desserts like planetary ice creams, Monogram coffee and popcorn! Don’t forget to try their Featured Galleries and Dome Planetarium! Just to add: you have to pay $7 for an all-day parking so be prepared for that. I will surely get their Family Membership ($230+) for my future kids! :)

I had so much fun in this center. Kids will love it as well coz it has a lot of fun tools to learn and play. This place needs about 2-3 hours to finish. Worth to buy a yearly membership. Highly recommend for who loves science and psychology.

Really fun places for kids or even great science adventure for adults! You will learn much more than you thought even you're holding a master degree. Wonderful time spent in there and highly recommended for family visiting! So many interactive sections that will help you develop interests in science, which will definitely benefit everyone.

This was a great experience for a school field trip. They were so well organized, they met us at the door and we knew were we needed to be and at what times. The staff were easy to find and very helpful. The building is large and quite lovely. The outdoor discovery/play area was amazing and so much fun. I was a bit disappointed with the upstairs interactive area, many need serious refurbishment and it could have been more eye catching and colorful. The gift shop is excellent with a fantastic selection of toys, experiments, and souvenirs. We also had some ice cream that was pricy but very good.

We had tons of fun. This is a great place to bring kids, especially if they love science. There are plenty of fun exhibits that are super interactive. As an adult, I enjoyed my time here. My kid also loves it so much, he said he wanted to come back here.

My family got season passes last year, and unfortunately I have been increasingly disappointed with every visit. I don’t often give negative reviews, but I think I’m this case there’s a need for this place to improve, especially considering the cost for admission. In the last year, they opened the Quantum Sandbox, the Goodnight Moon exhibit, a 911 rescue exhibit, and most recently, a hockey exhibit. While they were all interesting, none have held our interest for more than one visit. Along with that, I’ve found that all of the exhibits have lacked in inclusivity and diversity. The hours for families are terrible. They’re only open till 4 on weekdays, not giving parents of kids in school time to visit after school. The food options are really lacking for those who have allergies or sensitivities. The dome shows were really inconvenient times, and seemed to run on the same schedule, giving us no opportunities to see more than two of the shows - and one of them (a Halloween show, I believe) was frankly embarrassing. My kids laughed at loud, thinking the poor quality was a joke - though I’m pretty sure they showed it without an ounce of irony. The upstairs section has been the most disappointing part. It seemed like every time we visited (at least twice a month), one more thing was broken. After visiting the Science Center in Edmonton and saw how well maintained it was there, and how much better the exhibits were, we started feeling pretty ripped off. All in all, I would not recommend visiting, especially if you’re going with your family. It’s pricey, and in my honest opinion, a terrible way to spend your money.

The science center was a lot of fun! And very lovely and beautifully constructed. Also appreciate the solar panels on the parking shelters! Can be pricey, but we weren't going to be traveling or doing a family vacation this year, so we're doing Science Center passes and Heritage Park passes instead. The instructions over the intercom to see the robo-dog weren't really clear and so we unfortunately missed seeing it and my 3 yr old was upset. I would love to see lower priced concessions and gift shop items. Times are tough and I want to make these visits a memorable joy for my family.

Very nice place to go with kids. When we visited in August they have really nice Barbie setup.. they displayed all the barbies from starting and now tht was really cool. There are lot of things to experienced like science experiments, virtual games, dome shows, many things to see n learn. My personal favorite is Dome shows.. we really enjoyed Dome shows. They have big indoor and outdoor play area and many activities for kids. Its worth to go with kids.

It was an amazing experience visiting Spark science centre. It had a touch of almost everything you need your kids to learn and see, starting from science, experiments, fun, adventure and play place. They have a soft play area too for the toddlers and for kids there is plenty of things to explore. Its worth visiting with ur family. The staff is really cooperative and helpful. You could spend more than 4 hours and still want to explore more. Regarding the eatery, it was a bit expensive so better take ur snacks along for the kids and enjoy this experience of TELUS spark. 5 stars and thumbs up.

Wanted to publicly say how unexpectedly wonderful the performer -Scout- was yesterday. He put his heart into the Stealing Fire show my family and I saw. Such a charismatic, funny, and professional performer. The show felt very natural as clearly this guy is a skilled storyteller. He was kind to the kids and clearly is very passionate about science and sharing it with other. The most memorable part of our day. Highly recommend trying to see him when you go.

Telus spark, AKA the science center, is always a pleasure to visit, especially if you have young kids. They're also super accessible and a great place for special needs kids. Every single staff member is approachable and happy to help with any questions. They're also quick to respond via email or social media if you have any questions. The rotating exhibits they host are always high quality, engaging, inspiring and educational. Their permanent offerings are fun and interesting. Telus spark also occasionally hosts adults only nights, which is a whole nother way to experience it (with booze!). It's also really easy to get to (a short walk from the Zoo train station). Visit if you get a chance.

Feels like nearing half of the interactive sections are broken and have been taken down. This is a problem because not only do your kids not get to play/learn/experience, but it drives demand on the few functioning exhibits. This place is on the downhill and needs to reinvest in what it does have instead of investing in a VR playset... Which (while cool) is not what I took my kid to a science center to do. Not worth the price of admission.

Overall not a bad experience. I came here unfortunately on a day full of kids from school trips but I do enjoy the documentary from the dome theatre. Otherwise, it's a small place I wish there were more items to display and browse around to be worth $25 per adult which I think is slightly overpriced.

The Science Centre is always a fun time for the family. Even my 14-year-old had fun! When we went, they had an evening event on called 'sparkle sparkle'. It was a holiday-themed event, they had many displays, an ice princess/snow queen greeting the kids, snow machines, a cute little film in the planetarium, and a fantastic science-themed display in the theater. For a family of 4, it's cheaper (only by a few bucks), to buy the annual pass vs. the family pass. If more than 4 in your fam, the family pass is the way to go. The gift shop has a great choice of unique gifts and treats. At the time, they had a Goodnight Moon display, and they have virtual reality for anyone to try! While parking is not free, if you have a membership, then parking is covered! We'll be back very soon 👍🏼

We really enjoyed ourselves at Telus Spark. With the selection of areas to explore, there truly was something for everyone. Lots of interesting interactive displays. Sanitizer everywhere to keep covid safe. The Astronaut Ice Cream was a cool idea, however the size proved to be a bit much for our sons aged 7 and 8.

Good place to spend an hour or two. I have been to several science museums over the years, but this one doesn't really compare much to any of them. There aren't too many exhibits and a lot of them were not working properly when I visited. The most interesting part for me honestly was the show at the infinity dome which I thought was pretty cool. I went here on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too crowded but there was a barbie exhibit going on which was interesting to see.

Awesome place to take the kids for a fun day. Even my 11 month old had a section of his own and loved crawling around the Indigenous comic book area, which was my personal favourite. Enjoyed a couple of the shows/presentations and they were both good and I would recommend them, they are short and fairly action packed so they don't take up all your time there. The 2nd floor was more geared towards kids 6 and up I would say so my 4 year old was just doing things that she mostly didn't understand up there. Was raining when I went but the outdoor portion looked like it would be really enjoyable on another visit.

I went with my friend but I feel like it would be a great place for kids, not necessarily for adults.

It's quite fun for an occasional visit. Hubby, me, the 9-year-old and the 7-year-old came for a visit. We spent 1.5 hours here and then the boys were done. Some exhibits are great, such as the toothpick building station. I really liked seeing the creative builds that people had done. Others are disappointing because they're broken: the heartbeat drum only worked on one side; and the polishing rocks were all missing because other visitors had taken them to the waterfall and tossed them in. Staff engagement is hit and miss. In the Body exhibit, a staff member made eye contact with me but kept walking. In the Creative Kids section, I had a really great chat with a staff member who asked if we were having fun. I would have loved to check out the new Digital Immersion Gallery but it was closed for an event.

Another terrific visit today! As a member of Telus Spark for several years, I can say it’s been a consistent source of entertainment for us as our family grows up. With new additions like the Digital Immersion Gallery and now demonstrations by a robotic dog named “Flint” from Boston Dynamics, Spark keeps on coming up with unique and rewarding offerings that complement their quality standbys like the expansive outdoor playground, the dome theatre, the live science demonstrations, the top notch coffee/food/ice cream offerings, and much more. It’s a great place to visit and an even better place to be a member of because it never, ever grows old.

  • 5/5 Azumi C. 2 years ago on Google
This science centre is different than most because it actually showcases the arts! Only science centre I've been to in Canada so far that has live demonstrations that involve stories and a compelling narrative, not just a bunch of experiments. Wish other centers would follow suit. I've seen 4 of the shows so far from the 2 visits I've had (I live out of province) and each exceeded my expectations. From legends of fire giants, to game shows, and escape rooms these shows were a unique experience. Well done to those creators, builders, and actors involved.

  • 5/5 Surinder L. 1 year ago on Google
The centre was very interesting and is perfect for children and adults. I suggest you look up the timings of the shows, we weren't able to see the two movies we wanted to because they weren't playing at the time we were there. Also, don't forget to visit the planetarium, it's not in the general area of the rest of the centre. Missed going there because I saw the signs to it on the way out down a hall, but since the rest of my group was already waiting for me in the car I couldn't check it out.

  • 5/5 Brangwyn J. 2 years ago on Google
What an amazing day. Go to the centre nice and early with my 4 year old. She had a blast running from exhibit to exhibit while there weren't that many people. Once things picked up we settled for a couple of dynamic displays in the auditorium where we learned about fire and big bangs. Then we ran off to the newly renovated Dome to watch a movie about sea lions! 7 hours later and kiddo was still having fun. What a great day, friendly staff, full cafeteria with reasonable prices, and just all around good people.

An amazing place for kids. I'm not sure about adults though. If you're a parent it's certainly a good getaway with kids and they'll learn a lot of things too there.

It's a good science museum and kids will enjoy their interactive exhibits. The Dome Theater is fantastic, a very educational place for all. If your kids love science, better to get a annual pass.

Best science center for kids I have ever been in Canada. This place made science fun, interactive and artistic. They keep introducing the latest technology into the showroom. And the included dome theatre has way better experience than other science centers(like Ontario science center). And you don't need to pay extra to watch.

  • 5/5 I K (. 1 year ago on Google
Wonderful place for curios kids and adults. Lots of interactive installations. A couple play zones, ice cream shop, the eatery, cinema and light show, VR games and bird flight experience. All that’s needed to get your little one excited and fascinated with science. Unfortunately EV charger was out of order.

  • 5/5 Lilia H. 1 year ago on Google
So cool!!!! There was a robot dog that did tricks and was very entertaining. The new exhibit the "sand box" was so amazing, it was immersive, mesmerizing, and just one of the most amazing things I've ever seen! The astronaut ice cream was yummy but very sweet. There was also a junkyard playground (you can't go in if you wear sandals)

  • 5/5 LIZ A. 1 year ago on Google
I attended one of the only adult nights and it was so good. Very well organized; dj; bars; good music; fun things to do..We also took one of their workshops to learn to make our own Technology fashion and while it wasn't as well organized we had fun. They started late and some attendants didn't get all materials; that was disappointing given how pricey the ticket was. The show was phenomenal; so creative and impressive. Such a great event. I really loved it and had so much fun at the museum. My only suggestion would be to include parking; it wasn't a cheap event and then to cover parking on top of that; it felt too much.

  • 5/5 J K. 8 months ago on Google
We love science centres and this one did not disappoint. The surprise barbie exhibit was so freakin fun! The outdoor park is the bees knees, def plan to spend some time out there. The human body exhibition was one of my favourites and we enjoyed it a lot. The dome was pretty cool and you don’t need to pay extra for movies. We saw two. The spirit bear was our favourite. Show up early and line up. Have one person in your party hold a spot in line about a half hour before and then get seats in the middle towards the back for best spots. We spent 5 hours with 3 littles. Go for opening before it gets busy. The souvenir shop is a bit pricy.

Telus Spark was amazing! My kids, both 8 and 13 year old, both enjoyed the experience! Much better than any other science museums we've been to. The robo-dog was a welcome sight! Activities for both toddlers and young teens are available. Lots of "stations" to keep everyone interested. I highly recommend this place if you have kids and you're visiting Calgary.

  • 4/5 Lisa C. 8 months ago on Google
Great experience for the entire family and kids to explore. Free parking with annual pass or $7/day for your visit. Tonnes of outdoor parking and bike racks at the front entrance. Park outside with slide and a dinosaur skeleton sculpture. Next to the Telus Science Centre is the Calgary Zoo, about 10mins walk. Behind the Telus centre is the Bow River Pathway.

This is quite possibly the biggest waste of time and money. I used to come here as a kid and it was great. Now, everything is run down. Out of the 30 little run down things they have upstairs for kids to do, 15 of them do not work. The buttons don’t work, half of them say ‘no USB’ or machine out of service. The electrical circuit ones have these little clips that are broken and run down. They don’t even work. This broke so called science centre takes $110 per family and then doesn’t even replace those? They cost $3 each. This is a total and utter waste of time, I was here with 4 adults and 2 kids. And every single one of us was entirely unimpressed by this place. On top of that, some of the staff were rude, weird, and 2 of them literally smelt like they hadn’t showered in 3 weeks. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Do not go here. This place isn’t what it used to be. And likely NEVER will be again. Even the boy at the desk was fighting with someone about what his name is and yelling at customers. It’s a pathetic massive waste of money. The bathrooms are so filthy it’s insane. There’s literal poop not even just in the toilets, it’s on and around the areas you sit. The garbages are filled up and weren’t emptied for days it looks like. The changing tables had literal poop stains all over them. I’d honestly sue this place if I had the time or energy to spend another terrible minute on this dumpster fire of a place.

Was super disappointed with the Sparkle event. Took no more than 15 minutes to walk through the whole event and that’s with the dome video included. Definitely was not worth the $20 for tickets. I would recommend going to zoo lights across the street instead. This might be a good event if you have kids but a terrible idea for date night. Felt like a waste of money.

Telus really needs to work on their presentation. Video is an important quotient to sound. While I appreciated their effort for Christmas 2020, a twenty dollar ticket is pretty steep for the level of effort I saw. The story time portion of the Christmas event was poorly orchestrated.

I enjoyed the Sparkle Sparkle event for this holiday season. The lights are stunning. I wasn't so impressed with the limitations set out or used, however. They asked if all in your group was from the same household and if you said no then no one in your group was allowed in and you had to get a refund for the tickets and parking cost. We saw a number of families facing this problem as we went in. I don't understand how this is different then the same people going in separately, either arriving at separate times or one after the other. It makes no sense. The same people are in there. We're around strangers, all masked and distancing. I don't get it. And as far as I know, they didn't advise ticket holders/purchasers that they should only attend with people from their own household. Especially before buying tickets.

  • 5/5 Ana M. 3 years ago on Google
As a family we love this interactive museum, unfortunately right now due Covid is partially open. Be aware that you need to purchase a timed-ticket, mask are required to be indoors and bring water (no water fountain available, but you can buy a bottle of water at the eatery if you didn't bring any). This is a good time to enjoy the Body World's exhibition because is not busy as it used to be.

Absolutely loved the Sparkle Sparkle event! Way shorter than I expected (less than an hour to see it all) but there was interactive stuff throughout which made it really fun! Everyone was spaced out too which made it that much more comfortable.

As a young family, this is a great place to get a membership for. My kids always love playing in the kids play area and it gets their wiggles out! The changing exhibits help keep things fun and different for them to look at as well. I find during the week it isn't busy, which is really nice during this pandemic. It is easy to socially distance and to have fun at the same time. I would say for older families this is more of a visit here and there type of attraction. But if you think you would come a few times a year to see different exhibits, getting the membership usually pays off within a few visits anyways.

Love this place. If you have a toddler and are tired, this place is your best friend. Let them run and be free. There is a lot to do for little kids in the first two areas and then the other areas are for older kids but there is still stuff for them to get into and have fun. Right now a lot of hands-on stuff is closed for the pandemic but usually it is very interactive for young kids. There is also an entire outside area to play which I have not been to yet. Food is okay, nothing special but lots to choose from. A membership is $75/adult for the entire year and kids under three are free.

Had an awesome day at TELUS Spark. I'm happy that entry now includes the movie (which I seem to recall was a surcharge in the past). The immersive new digital exhibit (which currently focuses on the cycle of life) was a very pleasant surprise. I think the science centre is a great twice a year thing, but I'm not sure of the annual pass value.

I wont ever go to an event here ever again....you aren't allowed to get out of your vehicle nor do they have designated smoking areas...not even in your own vehicle

Always entertaining with the kids. Lots of hand sanitizer stations so it made it fun to learn and experience activities.

First time in the new center and I was quite surprised on how much fun it was. So much to see and do, the kid's could play there all day and then there is the outside area..so much to do.

Not everything is open but still very worthwhile. The pumpkin trebache (sp. ??) was great!

As has been said before, probably good for kids, but boring and limited for adults. There is a lot of open space, so there's potential to make it more interesting and educational for everyone.
