Fantastic boulevard to walk along during the day or night time enjoying some of the beautiful sculptures on the street. You can stop to have a drink or eat in any of the many restaurants or pubs in the area with a huge variety of cuisines or shopping in the beautiful stores around.

Stephen Avenue is now hosting Chinook blast the winter festival of art installation and lighting. It’s wonderful for a walk in the evening starting from 3rd street. You can even go out for a quick snack and drinks as it is lined with several wonderful pubs. I have personally tried out James Joyce, Social, local and Met which are all really good ones around here.

Wow!! What a great place to walk thru, eat, have fun, party if you want, dance in the street, check out the Art sculptures and have a great time. This reminded me of Bourbon Street in New Orleans with a lot less drunk people. It was a great place in Calgary to explore.

A beautiful tourist attraction in the heart of city. My favorite ealrs restaurant was there for dinner. Hours can be spent here without getting bored even for a minute. Battery powered scooters add extra fun.

Loved the ice sculptures. There were lots of warming stations. Very busy when we were there. Would have liked to have seen more family activities. All in all a great event.

A happening street…!! The 8th Ave is also known as Stephen Avenue is a great place no matter what time of the day, month and year. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops, gift shops etc. are in here. During Calgary Stampede and Christmas it is decorated beautifully. Definitely recommend to have a walk if you’re in town.

It is a bustling pedestrian street adorned with numerous iconic skyscrapers lining both sides in downtown Calgary. This street is home to a plethora of upscale restaurants and boasts a charming garden-style shopping center. It is a must-visit destination for tourists and ranks among the most renowned pedestrian streets in Calgary.

Really beautiful indoor outdoor mall in the middle of the city. You could go there and find anything you'd like. On the fourth floor there's a very beautiful food court with excellent views out of the roof to the building surrounding

Beautiful walking street full of restaurants, stores, lights, art and music. Enjoyable in all seasons. You can access the plus 15 system interconnecting the beautiful Calgary downtown buildings. The pics are showing the Trees Sculpture from the bridge connecting the Bankers Hall and the Core Shopping Centre. Plus 15 is open until 9 pm.

It was a nice walk through downtown. Several blocks are blocked off from cars except for at crossroads so it made it safe for walking and easy to cross the street to get to different shops. A lot of restaurants and shops to go in. The streets were lined with flowers which was nice and they were clean. A few homeless people here and there but not too many and none of them bothered me or asked for money. I felt perfectly safe walking alone.

A nice place to walk around, it has shopping mall around and good restaurants. Also surrounded with corporate centers.

Nice walk but unfortunately you see a lot of people homeless or under effect of drugs. I don't know if City of Calgary have any plan to help them but the rish is to avoid family to enjoy the down town for politically correct practice. Probably a real solution is really necessary.

I didn't experience this place at it's best/busiest (winter weekday) but I do like pedestrian-only areas.

Excellent strip of boutique shops, restaurants and bars/pubs. Walkable with many people around. Many shaded patios. Live performances at times. Close proximity to transit and the core mall. Some homeless in the area.

I'm always a fan of pedestrian streets and Stephen Avenue is definitely one of the true places for hang out. It's a wonderful experience in city redevelopment.

Go at night with the beautiful lights. A few hallmark made for tv Xmas movies have used this in the background. There are homeless but police are visible to ensure it's safe.

Calgary downtown is a beautiful venue for us, photographers, especially Stephen Avenue Walk. You can have street life, art and history in one frame. Here is a few samples from my ballerina shoot from 2020. Locations: Hudson's Bay, Teatro Restaurant and the mid part of Stephen Avenue.

Probably the most bustling part of Calgary we’ve seen. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Certainly seems to be the place to head to if you’re in Calgary.

Stephen Avenus is where all the shops by the downtown area are. A good tourist spot if you are staying near the downtown area. Easy to access since they have 15 plus elevators walk way. I recommend walking around the area if you’re never been.

Steven Avenue is a classic Street downtown Calgary. It's usually pretty busy with the proxy 30 to 40,000 people going through in their lunch hour pre pandemic. Unfortunately now it's nothing like it was before. A lot of close down businesses and a lot of vagrants definitely. But it's still Steven Avenue and it's beautiful. I usually always end up walking at least 5 to 6 blocks of it as habit. Anything in Alberta is my hometown.

it is always a good treat to come back here from time to time. This street has everything you need to go shopping or checking out some neat Restaurants near by. It's got good sports doors, clothing, coffee shops for any coffee lovers out there. And with in walking distance as well if you park near by. And not to mention I gotten to see some unique bicycles that are custom made and some were home made as well. So this would be a great spot to check out on a nice clear sky day or on a nice summer day

What a place in the heart of downtown, you can see life around with people walking, talking, and eating. I love it and like to have the same place around me.

Great area with a number of places to eat. Pedestrians only, east to maneuver a stroller. After being in Toronto this is the nice downtown feel without the massive crowds.
