This is a beautiful park with trails going both sides of the river, with nice little spots to hang at. There's a food truck here aswel. Family friendly, but high traffic of bicycles, roller skating, joggers and scooters along the trail. Absolutely amazing park in the summer ☀️.

Calgary has plenty of beautiful parks all over the city, and Prince's Island Park is, definitely, one of the most popular and visited parks in downtown that has picturesque downtown, river, and waterfront views. In summer, the park is thronged by a variety of people of all the ages and interests. cyclists, walkers by themselves or with their furry friends and joggers are seen on the trails on either side of the river and on the over bridge. There are lots of trees and lush green grounds with benches to enjoy the nature and the river. There is a children playground with various equipment to keep them active and occupied in the natural surroundings. Also, a cafeteria and washrooms are on the park to cater to the needs of visitors. The amazing park has lots to offer to every kind of people, for free. Walking along the river filled me and my wife with enormous exhilaration.

Had an awesome day to come and visit the park. It was clean, mostly paved paths but had some dirt paths too. Even has a coffee shop also.

Enjoyed the most delightful morning in Calgary! Prince’s Island park is a beautiful, serene place to enjoy nature at its best. There are trails that run alongside the river, benches to relax on and take in the beauty and as you can see, the flowers are absolutely stunning in the summer!!

A Calgary classic. Prince's Island Park (not "Princess") is a must-see. Its right in the centre of the city, just north of downtown on Bow River. I love this park cause it has a little bit of everything; flowers, trees, walking/biking paths, rivers, open fields, a cafe and even Enmax Stage where concerts/events are held. Great park, definitely worth a visit.

Prince's Island reminds me a lot of Vancouver. It's a nice little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is in an ideal location, right on the river and a few minutes from the downtown core. The park is considerably huge with large deciduous trees, lush gardens and a cafe on the island. With the changing of the season, the colourful leaves add a whole new beauty to it.

The best park in Calgary. It is a beautiful place where you can feel the relaxed and peaceful nature very close to downtown. Many people come here to enjoy picnics or exercise. I also visit this park often for chilling. And there are many animals living here, such as Canadian goose, squirrel, magpie, crow, and sparrow. I'm happy just watching them. If you are new to Calgary, you must visit this park!

Definitely the most beautiful park in Calgary! I was stunned with the lush greenery and golden hues of the early autumn. I’ve been here only month but that’s my 5th stroll here. I love the little squirrels here there are plenty of them everywhere.

This will be an incredibly biased review as I’ve only been here during the Calgary Folk Festival. What I can say about it though is it is amazing. Had such a lovely day there. Taking in a fantastic array of live music, food, and scenery. I love that this place is basically downtown but feels as though it’s in a serene spot in the middle of nowhere at the same time. I’ll have to return shortly and see what it looks like when left to its own devices. That festival is one of the best organized I’ve ever attended in terms of flow of traffic. Also, Fantastic Negrito. Never heard of him until they day. Look him up. Just, fantastic haha.

I visited this park during July end. The park is very beautiful and clean. The neighborhood is lovely. The park is on the banks of Bow River. Water is dark blue and looks very scenic. However, parking was limited. We went to the peace bridge, and even though it was under construction, the bridge looked beautiful.

Prince Edward's park is nestled in a serene neighborhood of Calgary, and it offers a peaceful and picturesque escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The park features well-maintained walking paths that wind through lush greenery and beautiful gardens, perfect for leisurely strolls or picnics. The playground area is well-designed and provides a safe and enjoyable space for children to play. The park also boasts ample open spaces, making it ideal for outdoor activities like frisbee, soccer, or simply relaxing on a sunny day. With its tranquil atmosphere and scenic surroundings, Prince Edward Park is a delightful oasis for nature lovers and families alike.

It is a very beautiful park, it is a huge park that is centrally located. You can see the big buildings at the background and you can see this beautiful park on the forefront. You have lovely walking paths here, you'll also find a lot of geese here. It is so green in spring with colorful flowers. This is definitely a place you should consider visiting, it is very peaceful to be in here.

A nice park for family going on weekend and workers spending their day off. Great grass land surrounding playgrounds. The park is on the bow river, connected with bridges, the most famous and iconic one is Peace Bridge. The park was built on land, and donated in 1947 to the city by the Prince family. Prince Island park is the Central Park in New York. Amazing place to visit if you are tourist.

Sometimes you need a walk down a serene park. The flowers along the pathway, the flowing lake and the green grass just what you need after a stressed week. Come with a cozy blanket and you just might find the perfect spot for a picnic

We are visiting our friends in Calgary and decided to come here for an evening stroll and we were not disappointed. The river walk is absolutely stunning with fast flowing water just looking incredible on a sunny day. You will see a lot of people on the sidewalk and in the park along with their furry friends. All in all, great experience. Will return here in future.

Nice place to take a stroll. It is nice to see the park under every different seasons. You will appreciate to sit on a bench and read a nice book while enjoying the scenery. There is a cafe situated in the park if you want to enjoy a hot beverage. Squirrels and ducks will be your companion in your journey.

Another great place to skate/cycle or just walk and take in the nature and beauty of the city. Been ruined lately from all the protesters in the area. But if you can ignore those losers than it’s still enjoyable.

I think it’s Calgary’s the most beautiful park in the city. It’s still not comparable to parks and coasts in vancouver though. The plants here look so sad. There’re a lot of events holding at weekends. When I went there back in Aug 2023, there was a comedy competitions with a lot of food trucks. There’re electrical scooters and bikes to rent, so enjoy!

An amazing place to view the downtown of Calgary. The Bow river creating a small island is just another epitome of natural beauty. The bridges were lightened and the small lights there made the island really beautiful. I would say every season has it's own beauty. I visited this place for the first time and I loved it. I am planning to visit this place again in Summer and I am sure I will love it.

Current construction causes some unpleasant smell. Nice water scenery. Accessible. Food options. Personal motorized rentals available for touring. Parking near by but at a cost or free street parking if you're lucky.

I am gonna be here soon

  • 4/5 Mark C. 2 years ago on Google
The island is in good shape but getting into it required more walking than we had planned for. They've made a lot of nice improvements around the Peace Bridge but the bridge on that (west) end was closed. And the main bridge on from downtown was closed since right now there is a big chunk of the area closed off for construction.

Prince's Island Park is a beautiful oasis in downtown Calgary. When you're here, it no longer feels like you're in the hustle and bustle of downtown. There's so much greenery and old trees surrounding the bow river. There's plenty of space to sit and have a picnic. Paths interwind and flow through the park, inviting you to walk, bike, or take a scooter on them. And many people do as the paths we took were quite busy. And if you want a nice meal, River Café situated in the middle of the park serves some delectable dishes. I genuinely feel lucky to live in this city.

I have been to this park many times over the years and it is always spectacular! Lovely wildlife, charming atmosphere and a clean and well kept park. Restaurant on site with take out picnic service! Moderate facilities. A nice place for a nap!

Very nice park in the middle of the city. Very close to our house and try to go there every day for a walk. Well maintained. At times very crowded though.

Gorgeous park right in the beating heart of downtown Calgary, and right on the picturesque Bow River. Connected by bridges Prince's island is its own seperate almost surreal world that feels miles away from society, but minutes away from everything. Great scenic spots, a large amphitheatre, and a large themed park ensure that there's activities for anyone of all ages all year round.

I spend a half day to visit some turist points in Calgary: Wonderland Sculpure, The Family of Man, Famous Five Statues , Prince's Island Park, Piece Bridge. Morever I finish my walking tour in the trendy Stephen Avenue to had dinner. It was an enjoyble time. The best time that walking tour was when I was walking in Prince's Island Park, a beautful and so calm place

I visited Prince's Island Park back in summer (late review so the photos are from this month, will update the photos in summer again), and I have to say, it was an absolutely beautiful experience. As soon as I arrived, I was struck by the lush greenery and the clear blue water of the Bow River that surrounds the island. For those who love nature, Prince's Island Park is a true paradise. There are plenty of walking trails that allow you to explore the island's natural beauty, and you can easily spend an entire day exploring all that it has to offer. If you're lucky, you may even spot some of the park's resident wildlife, such as beavers or birds. One of the things that stood out to me about Prince's Island Park was how family-friendly it is. There are plenty of playgrounds and picnic areas, making it the perfect spot for a family day out. The park is also home to a variety of festivals and events throughout the year, so there's always something going on. I highly recommend Prince's Island Park to anyone visiting Calgary, whether you're a nature lover or just looking for a peaceful escape from the city. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy some time in the great outdoors. So grab your hiking shoes, a picnic blanket, and head on over to Prince's Island Park – you won't be disappointed! P.S: Use eScooter if you get tired walking plenty available near the peace bridge.

This is a fun place to be and relax and play around the bow river, also good for morning, afternoon and evening walks, runs and bicycle rides. Just go out and take a break! You will love it.

Nice park, not far from downtown Calgary if you're on foot. It was cold and windy when we went there, but the parked seemed nice nonetheless. We saw many squirrels and there are beautiful flowers everywhere. Also a good spot to take some pictures of Bow River, but in a sunny day it must be much nicer.

  • 5/5 Kim N. 6 months ago on Google
Prince’s Island is situated North Calgary. It is a sweet little park where you can go for a stroll, relax and enjoy the scenery in a quiet environment. Squirrel and birds will be your companion during your journey, since they are all around the park. There are lots of bridge to access the island and places to sit as well.

  • 5/5 Lis M. 3 years ago on Google
One of my all time favourite parks in Calgary! It's in a great location close to downtown and the Peace bridge and so scenic and peaceful to walk through in all seasons! It has paved paths and goes right by the Bow river and there's a lot of events in the park normally which makes it a great place to hang out and explore! Plus there's always a lot of squirrels and geese everywhere!

Everyday I jogged this park. Lucky to not far away this from my home. Good organized and happy to watching gosling, geese and ducks. If you have a luck you can see a beaver too. Many people come around for picnic, jogging, biking, scootering etc. One bad thing is hard too find washroom if you are new there.

Its a beautiful city park bordered by downtown Calgary to the south and Bow River on the north side. There are lots of biking and walking trails, a restaurant, a small food court, and a water park for the kids in the summer. Great spot!

A great place to take a stroll no matter what season. Be aware in the summer there are many geese that roam the area near the river stream and that some of them are very territorial.

Is a very nice place tontake a walk during summer and autumn, you can walk, use bicycle or a scooter. If you have little ones is a ice cream place in one of the entrances or a Cafe inside the park, below the Cafe is public bathrooms This park gets very busy on weekends but you can find you way to get a little spot for your self. I really like go to the riverside and look for different color rocks. If you are visiting calgary is a nice place to relax.
