Amazing park lots of benches to sit. Two ponds with boating and canoeing. Rental services available but was closed when we visited, but you can bring your own as there is a nice launching station as shown in pics. Nice trails around both ponds and few unpaved trails leading to bee hotel kids loved it. Nice view of river looking over Ikea and ample parking space. One unique thing about this park was wild life lots of birds, ducks, deers, sparrows etc plus few of them were labled so kids can easily identify. Lots of shaded and unshaded picnic benches. Over all great park must visit. Check out videos and images and follow for more.

I'm so happy to live so close to this quaint park. It's a beautiful, special place to enjoy Carburn pond and the bow river all at the same time. Great for walking, bike riding, ice skating, getting your floating devices on the water and much more!!

Carburn is the best park in Calgary. It’s a relaxing walk providing a mix of natural and city recreation opportunities. There are almost always deer present and the area looks gorgeous no matter the time of year. It’s right along the river, while also providing its own lake. There’s also a smaller water loop for skating or kayak practice depending on the season. It features restrooms, a bee area and natural paths. No complaints, it’s a great space. Love visiting the area.

Great park within the city with couple of ponds. There are picnic tables, benches to sit on, free parking and additional off street parking. Washrooms are available. Great place for fall pictures this time of the year. In the summer kayaking, paddle boarding or canoeing would be fun. Nice place for a walk and a picnic. Along the city’s park pathways with great views of the city.

Carburn Park is beautiful place to walk around and to see the views of the ponds and the bow river. There are always lots of deer wondering around and the chickadees will land in your hands. You don't need food nor do you have to be a Disney princess for that to happen. :)

I love this park, great place to get away from the city feeling without leaving the city. If you go around 5 pm from november to april there are usually fewer people

One of my favorite parks in Calgary. I just love the river on Carburn Park and the activities that you can do there. We just went for a stroll but will soon come back to do more fun activities.

Calgary reigns supreme when "parks" are discussed. These areas are not just strips of grass with a few swings - they are magnificent stretches of land offering so much to do and see. Previous reviews have spoken of the many activities available at Carburn Park SE, such as paddle boating, and the evidence of beavers building dams. We were there simply to walk the many trails, and that was enough! On a hot and sunny day the park does not disappoint. Greenery, birds, old trees and wild flowers accompany you on the trails, while crossing small bridges and streams. This is a photographer's paradise. Skipping stones on the pond, sitting on a bench and daydreaming - this is all possible at Carburn Park. Visit here for a very pleasant afternoon. My 20 photos would not upload - "error."

Beautiful park. Amazing to walk the trails around the lake and so much beautiful up close wildlife which is also amazing. My first time there and I was lucky enough to get pictures of deer and her baby and they came so close almost close enough to touch it was such an amazing experience. This park is very very clean and well maintained also. Bathrooms there which is always great...lol I will definitely be going back for walks and if you ever need to unwind and get away to have a break for just your thoughts this is a place I would highly recommend!!!!

Discover this beautiful inner city park - Carburn Park. It has a net of nice trails for walkers, runners, bikers, rollerskaters. Impressive, surroundings reflecting, ponds provide opportunities for kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding activities. Occasionally, you can meet nature inhabitants here, such as black squirrels, white-tailed deers, coyotes. Ducks, herons and geese like the ponds. For a long time beavers were building their lodges along the ponds coast line. Unfortunately they cut and damaged lots of trees. Now most of trees are protected, and some areas are under restoration. There are several benches along the trail, as well as picnic tables for you to prolong your enjoyment of such picturesque place.

Very nice park where you can see a bunch of birds, deers and sometimes when you're lucky a coyote as well. It has 2 little lakes perfect to do paddle or kayak (beginners)

Great place to walk, see nature and birds in the Bow River. Paths are cleared very well in the winter. Lovely skating pond and fire pits as well as many picnic benches. Gorgeous floral planters in the summer.

I love this park but lately it's getting congested. It used to be quiet and calm, now you can't even find a parking spot. I guess it's getting famous to nature lovers. You can see deers around the park and swimming beavers plus you can also catch a beautiful sunset here. Best to go in the evening when it's not as busy.

This is an amazing park if you enjoy hiking, walking, biking or adventures. It's like a forest but with hiking trails. You can walk around the water spots and even kayaking there. It's better to visit the park with a group as it will be a great adventure and you should save each others backs from bugs. Yes, bugs is the only problem in this place as you will find tons of then every where, so be prepared for that. There is washing room next to the entrance, and I think that you should use it at the beginning as it will be a long walk if you want to see every spot of this park. I recommend visiting it with family, friends and relatives and bigger groups is better than few members.

A great park, with small paths all around, very beautiful and spacious. A relaxing walk, if you’re prone to mosquito bites, bring bug spray if you’re going during the season of them. Peaceful and not busy.

I've been going here for 25 years. It's a great small place to explore. Lots of wildlife to find. Also nice and quiet most of the time. Also 2 ponds to enjoy paddleboarding kayaking for beginners.

Nice paved walking trail around the lake/pond. There are also some small, unpaved trails that go through the trees where we saw some deer. There's also a very old tree near the river. Picnic tables are available at some spots.

If you're looking for some nature relaxation, this is a perfect place located inside the city. We loved paddleboarding here, safer for younger children. You can see lots of deer and ducks. I just don't like the parking lot, lot's of people coming and there's no enough parking spot.

Love this park! Great loop for a walk, exercising the dog and the kids. We usually do the loop with some on-leash training, then over to the offleash park. Walks about 10Km and noone complains 😜

Very nice trail that wraps around a pond. The reflections of the trees are beautiful. Not too busy. The path is paved. The day I went was foggy and it was extra special. Parking lot is a bit small, but you can also park on the street nearby. There are a lot of dogs at this park. Deerfoot Trail is across from the park and can be noisy some days.

One of Calgary’s secret gems. Beautiful park with gorgeous scenery. No playgrounds, washrooms, etc. Just the beautiful pathways around the river and ponds. Perfect for evening strolls.

Lovely to bird watch and there is an owl and beaver .. watch out you might see beats as well . Fishing yes ! You can and there are lots of parking and a washroom for convenience. During the winter you can ice skate.

It is a gem in the middle of the city! It is always good to have a short or long walk along the river and to see so much wildlife, flowers and mature trees. Love this park!

Great place for a relaxing hike in SE Calgary. There's some calm ponds that are good for paddle boarding or kayaking with some good launching spots. You can hike to the Bow River pretty easily for some fishing, there were some people fishing the ponds as well.

Spent an afternoon in this beautiful park. We were followed by a deer on a path!

We really enjoy this park. Lots of wildlife hangs about if you're lucky to see it. The paths are wide and generally you can just wander about . Lots of picnic tables and benches scattered about this heavily trafficked park. The water ponds are great for learning to canoe, kayak or paddle boarding. And being beside the Bow River you can pick a spot and watch anglers, beavers or birds for hours. In the winter the ice is maintained to skate on which is great. And the trees are decorated. It's a very well kept park supplied by the city. Thank you city workers for such a fantastic job all year round. Taking away a star because it would be nice to have a couple more canopied use spots and maybe a few of those little park stoves for day use as they fill up fast. I know there's probably some legality issues for the fire hazards and the canopies. But a guy can dream right ?! Lol Other than that it's a really great day use park.

We're never disappointed coming here. Wildlife abounds, trails for days, and our little one loves to explore. Deer, beaver, great horned owls, chickadees up close... wildlife abounds. We love this park!

Beautiful park. Two ponds and a river view; many birds and ducks; stroller friendly paved pathway. I enjoy exploring all the unique and beautiful parks in Calgary, but this gem is one of my favourites for a short walk. (Pictures from July β€˜22 & Oct β€˜22)

I have taken thousands of pictures here and spend hundreds of hours here; walking, meditating, watching animals, paddleboarding & even meeting friends! Carburn Park may be busy (sometimes the weekends are too much) but it is a spot that is still worth going to. The amount of animal life that thrives even with the over abundance of people is so accessible for families or those who don't wish to go to far to see wildlife. This remains one of the best places for birding in the city as well! The eagle nest is also easily seen and watched for those looking for easier (but no less grand) birding trips!!

Beauty meets tranquility here ! A well preserved habitat for some cutest wild creatures. Biking, fishing, boating or for just chilling out, it's a wonderful place to be within the city limits. Parking is free but not big enough !
