Extremely beautiful viewpoint to see the Calgary Skyline. The place is not very crowded so its great to click pictures. There is not a lot of parking available; just some spots on the street so it can get a bit tricky but because there is not a lot of crowd, you might just be fine. Definitely a visit to get the skyline views.

As the name implies, this is a view of the city skyline. It always looks gorgeous at night, but you might want to bring a good jacket or even a blanket if it's a cold night. Scotsman's hill is nearby and it's a pretty big green area as opposed to this smaller area. As for other times, it's kind of just you and your luck. The weather and position of the sun does affect how photogenic the view is. There are no amenities or stores near here, so you might want to bring a thermos of coffee or snacks with you. Some people bring their dogs out here, but you have the chance of seeing the local wildlife too. There are plenty of flickertail gophers, some jackrabbits, grouse, magpies, and if you're lucky, you might even see an osprey - there's one in my pictures (a few of them nest on a platform that is down by Spiller road). There are also set of stairs at Scotsman's Hill that will take you down to the walking path along the elbow river.

This is one of the several vantage points from where Calgary downtown can be viewed. The skyline viewpoint, situated at the junction of 6 Street, Salisbury Street, and Margaret Avenue, is a grassy area on a hill with a few benches to have spectacular views of City skyline from a significant height overlooking the iconic Calgary tower, skyscrapers, Stampede park, and Scotiabank's Saddledome. The area, along the street, has a couple of mounds, bushes and wild vegetation at the brink, a wooden a staircase (159 steps) and beaten paths to go downhill, and a playground for unleashed dogs. Visitors may enjoy a leisurely walk, go up or down the steps, sit and watch the sunset in the evening, and play with their dogs. Additionally, if they go downhill, they can enjoy the Stampede park and Bow river. What's more, there are two children playgrounds that are fully equipped with latest equipment, Ramsey Community Park and Bell Avenue Park in the vicinity.

There are many skyline view points in Calgary. I have been to Skyline View, Scotsman's Hill,Mt Pleasant View Point and Crescent Heights Lookout Point. Skyline view is one of the best. Come over 30 mins before sunset and you will got amazing photos with sunset and terrfic scenery CBD with lights. From this spot, you will see the pano view of Calgary Stampede as well.

Amazing way to see the city! It was a little hard to find the entrance but totally worth the challenge! From this point of view you can see everything as far as the mountains

Plenty of lawned space to sit around for a beautiful sunset view of Calgary's skyline. Be prepared to tackle mosquitoes if you are planning to stay late.

Island view is amazing for so many reasons I mean where do you even start. if you're looking for a Skyline view of a city you live in it's nice to know it's accessible to everyone clean safe and great for pictures. As long as no one abuses that the locals won't get upset and you'll be able to go back there and enjoy the serenity.

Beautiful view towards downtown and just barely making out the Canadian Rockies. Benches for sitting and an open space for dogs and kids to play. Can be reached by wooden staircase from the Calgary Stampede grounds and Scotiabank Saddledome.

Awesome views, I highly recommend anyone to check it out. You can park in the street on the side, and the views are spectacular. Benches and other paths near it, and plenty of opportunities to take pictures and whatnot. Good vantage point for a view.

Perhaps the best spot to watch the stampede fireworks. You'll have to park and walk in but you won't be disappointed.

Check it out it is One popular skyline viewpoint in Calgary is the Calgary Tower. It offers a stunning panoramic view of the city and its surroundings from its observation deck. Another great option is the Scotsman's Hill, located in the Ramsay neighborhood, which provides a picturesque view of downtown Calgary. These viewpoints offer unique perspectives of the city's skyline and are worth checking out!

Beautiful view of the city centre. I've seen this view a thousand times, but this was the first time in my life that the old Corral is gone ... ☹️

Not as nice as my expectations. It's too close to the downtown to give you a nice viewpoint.

Nice scenic sitting area above stampede park. In a quiet Calgary neighborhood. Great for taking pictures. Or using on a a bike ride or hike as a resting area. Or just to come and enjoy the sights, quiet, peace and serenity of this nice sitting area and green space.

This is the best place in Calgary to watch the sunset in winter time.

  • 4/5 Daniel C. 2 years ago on Google
Best place to view downtown Calgary. The park is really just a grass area with few chairs. If you're feeling adventurous you can walk up and down the hill to the stampede park area.

  • 4/5 Robert M. 2 years ago on Google
Best vantage to watch fireworks during stampede...

  • 5/5 Tom L. 2 years ago on Google
