South
Glenmore
Park
is
a
scenic
waterfront
green
space
at
the
Glenmore
reservoir
on
Elbow
river.
It
has
a
colossal
children
playground
with
lots
of
amazing
equipment
to
amuse
children
of
all
ages,
a
sizable
splashpad,
and
an
area
with
several
musical
instruments
such
as
pianos
and
drums
for
music
lovers,
near
the
reservoir.
There
are
hiking
and
biking
paths,
a
large
number
of
unpaved
and
winding
trails,
and
beaten
paths.
While
walking
on
the
gravel
trail,
right
beside
the
elbow
river
-
the
narrow
and
somewhat
challenging
trail
is
squeezed
between
the
river
and
forest,
it
is
not
uncommon
to
see
people
fishing
at
various
places
and
sailing
in
their
own
or
rental
boats.
The
park
has
a
sailing
club
and
school
from
where
canoes,
kayaks,
or
sailing
boats
may
be
hired
and
boating
may
be
learned.
It,
also,
has
tennis
courts
and
a
bicycle
pump
station.
I
parked
my
car
at
the
Weaselhead
park's
parking
lot
and
walked
the
5.5
km
paved
trail
from
Weaselhead
park
to
South
Glenmore
park
and
back;
it
has
incredible
landscapes
of
forests,
jungles,
river,
valleys,
myriads
of
trees,
wild
vegetation,
and
many
beaten
trails
on
either
side
of
the
trail.
The
park
has
clean
washrooms,
picnic
tables,
and
a
water
fountain
near
the
playground,
and
it
has
several
view
points,
a
gazebo,
and
tons
of
benches
all
over
the
park.
This
is
an
alluring,
scenic
waterfront
place
with
splendid
views
-
a
must
visit
place
-
that
has
lots
to
offer
to
all
kinds
of
people.
