The absolute best thing the city could do is tear this mall down. It serves no purpose to the greater community and would probably be better served as just a bigger parking lot. Or maybe they could do something, anything with it. But as far as malls go, I'd say avoid this one at all costs.

Those two in the picture are literally smoking crack in a pipe right at the front door. Security came out how to chat with them and went back inside and they’re still there. Good job Marlborough Mall security

This mall is the worst place I've ever experienced. It's quite dirty, lacks proper service, and finding anything affordable is a challenge. The shopping experience is bland, with low quality in the products.

Definitely one of the best malls in the city. It's very diverse. Definitely a different vibe than all the other malls. I think it's got a good selection. There's a Walmart there to food court. The bay at one end. I don't think it deserves all the hate that it gets as a mall. However, overall it's a little weird. It's definitely not a place I would take a first date in.

I've been shopping at this mall since I was a toddler and I spent my early 20s working in this mall. It isn't anything like it was when I was young. It seems like half the mall is empty stores now. It might be an alright place to get a cell phone because half the stores are cellular stores. Also this mall is beside a ctrain station and there are quite a few homeless people around, I saw a group of them smoking meth on the south side of the mall.

Medium sized well maintained NE mall with ample outside parking and a good varsity of stores. Anchored by a Walmart Supercenter at one end and Makamee College newly opening ,on the other. The C train stops at the Mall at Marlborough station and there are also cabs usually waiting at the station or by the Walmart if you need one for the return trip home. Intresting niche market shops like Ethnika offer African fashion some of which are handmade. They also offer ebony wood handcarved figurines of various animals, and indigenous masks and jewelry. I purchased a Rhinoceros, Elephant, and Toad. They retailed for around $ 45 each. It is one of the oldest hardest woods on the planet ,and well worth the money for the craftsmanship to handcarved and to honor the trees of Africa Authentic African masks for home decor and collecting are also on offer . The fashion and jewelry are bold and eye catching From more formal to casual and they have a great array of women's summer footwear. The food court is well sized and has enough restaurants to suit almost any taste. A&W, ( with Beyond Meat option, and lettuce instead of buns for those who eat KETON) New York Fries, Subway, Taco Bell, plus Opa, Dairy Queen ( with icecream cakes and soft serve), Christy's Chicken, Damas, and several othersor healthy or not so eating, depending on what you.feel like. Mediterranean etc. Unfortunately the Smitty's has closed.perhaps due to lack of traffic with all the Skip the Dishes during Co-Vivid.; so no more Sunday all you can eat buffets. I will miss that, they had a great !one There are women's and men's washrooms ,very cleanly kept ,near the food court; although beware ,there are no doors. I once walked into the women's by accident ,it's the first one ,without realizing it for a couple of minutes!!; by which time I was already in a stall. Little stressful!! lol)instead of the men's by the men's washroom there is also a shoe repair store. There is a Best Buy, Telus, The Source, a large Dollar Store, A Sheffield Express newsagent that sells cigarettes, 649, and lotto products, snacks, pop, juice etc. Also some beautiful orrnemental hatchets and swords. Also reusable covid masks on sale and an ATM disposable masks. breathtakingly beautiful works of art! a low cost toy store that has some very interesting candidate valuable items you might not think of. Shoppers drug mart with a on staff beautician , shoppers optimum points and very helpful, friendly staff.it is located on the 36th Street side of the mall. There are several payphones at this mall which I can not stress makes it a standout. If you are ever caught without a cell phone you would need to travel downtown to city hall to find one!!! Fashion for less at great prices at Designer Depot. Stylish winter jackets good for up to minus 30 celcius. I bought one last summer for sale price of $50.00 and can attest to its quality. Now retails at regular seasonal cost of 250.00 Men's,Womens and kids. Casual wear and women's apparel that dresses up easily. Bank of Montreal full service branch located on 36th St side. Tends to be quite busy. Expect to wait 30 mins at times. Grab a coffee at the Tim Hortons beforehand or you might lose your place in line. They do offer several BMO ATMs there also Boutique of Leather has quality fine and biker rugged leather goods at a range of prices. They do their own alterations and repairs if you have your reciept. At no charge depending on the defect, of course. Be sure to check out Malvel BoutiQ. Amazing men's and boys' high end fashion . Brands like Pamoni and Oscar Banks. Italian made. High quality. Shoes also

Great little mall in Calgary very convenient. With a Walmart open till 11pm nightly. A good variety of stores for shopping. Great friendly customer service and a convenient location. Medical building and offices in the back of mall. I've always had a great time at Marlborough mall.

This place needs more security and an entirely new and full makeover. It's so run down, no one but the homeless and junkies visit. It's a deterant for potential paying clientele.

one of the most run-down malls in the city, dirty, full of needles, and full of anti-social people who are out to rob, steal, and make threatening gestures towards everyday people. When I went to the Walmart here I genuinely felt unsafe, which is honestly the first time I've experienced that in this city.

Every single time I drive by this mall, it always gives me bad vibes. The mall itself is lowkey shady. Even the outside of the mall looks bombed, ( needs to be renovated) There are always old guys outside of the mall, smoking or doing something shady asl. I've never been inside this mall but I would never risk it, honestly, this mall is just outdated and needs to be put down. I think there are better things to build then let this shady mall still be here.

This mall was good close to our place. It's easy to go to store. You can buy all you need. They have a food court. You can relax after work .recommended yes. And the washroom was very clean ever the cleaning and the staff was very approachable, the sink and every cubicle wash sanitized. The security guard was approachable. The mall of every family!!

easy to read map showing all the stores when you enter, its your typical mall , was clean, staff were helpful in pointing out were to go, food court was clean and mall it self was clean, nothing that makes it stand out for that extra star for awesomeness.

Enjoy visiting this place , reason being for such a smaller mall it has quite the variety of stores inside it. Some to which I am quite a regular to, also it has the bank of Montreal right inside the which is used quite regularly. I have never had a better welcome experience from any other shopping mall. Could use a bit of a cleanup as people are outside always looking for change or pushing shopping carts around but I find that is almost everywhere this day in age.

Excellent place to shop for very affordable items and all the way to the Walmart store you will get affordable items in every available store even in the dollar store. There are a lot of phone stores available for sim plans or even purchasing a phone. Don't feel shy come in and purchase from the shops,Walmart queues can get very long in the late afternoons so get in early and leave early .

Marlborough Mall is a fairly decent mall located in NE Calgary. In general, I find the mall to be a little outdated. But, there are still a good number of stores/restaurants situated inside. There is a Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart, Dollarama, Gamestop, Shefield Express, as well as many "specialty" type stores selling leather, hair extensions/ wigs etc. The food court is alright, as well. A fair variety of different options to try out.

One of the best places in Calgary to shop with lots of parking! There's everything here: from clothes to restaurants to electronics and toys for the kids. I've been a long time visitor here and will continue to frequent this mall.

Pretty dumpy looking mall, and not clean place at all! Besides they have very limited shopping selection… Last but not least there is always crime or any type of issues going on outside and inside the mall! Go to core mall or Chinook which is much more better.

This mall is sketchy, dirty and slowly dying. Whilst most of the mall is fine I guess, the exits on either end are full of crackheads, loitering and crime. One wing was even just like, dead, no stores were in that wing and there was a few homeless people going about. Not to mention that this mall has nothing else to offer that any other mall in the city can, there's no reason to go to this mall when other malls such as Sunridge, Chinook, CrossIron or Market do it better. The only two positive things I can say about this mall is that it has a really iconic and well designed logo, and that it isn't as sketchy as the North Hill Centre.

Man this place...hopping, diverse and a little dingy. This is not a hang around being social as a family mall (maybe like Chinook?), but rather it is a get in and get out affair. Decent prices, but it is a bit dark and needs some money spent to renovate or just face-lift. Common mall management...you can do better because you get a fair bit of business in there.

Very bright mall, lots of sky lights. Easily found the store I was looking for. Located the items I was seeking quickly. Helpful staff at Sunrise records, food court was moderately busy.

One of the best malls in the city without a doubt. It has a wide range. Undoubtedly a different atmosphere than the other malls. It has a nice selection, in my opinion. Walmart and a food court are nearby. at one end is the bay. I don't believe it merits all the criticism it receives for being a mall. Overall, though, it's a little strange. I most certainly wouldn't go on a first date there.

Driving by this mall on memorial dr is so sad with the amount of garbage in the parking area as well as the road. This is a huge determent to even park your car never mined shopping there. All you see is scary drug and homeless people the mall needs to clean up there act so the right people can feel comfortable shopping.

THE Most sketchiest dirtiest pointless mall. Walmart and shoppers are the only businesses holding it together. If you like to get asked for change, smokes, alcohol, or even a hit off of w.e they're smoking... Right in the effin cafeteria.. disgusting creatures this mall attracts I repeat do not go here and if you need Walmart or shoppers which are anywhere and everywhere else lol

  • 3/5 Manoj K. 4 months ago on Google
I'm not sure why it feels chaotic here. Maybe it's due to mediocre tidiness or the number of homeless people around the mall. I don't see any other stores worth visiting except Walmart.

  • 4/5 Ali B. 7 months ago on Google
Nice old mall in a central part of Marlborough. Some shops are brand names but most are smaller businesses. The food court is a nice variety and the foot traffic is still quite dense throughout most days.

Best mall for any kind of shopping from infants to old age.. There is not Indian food in food court. Rest all the mall is neat and clean and have lots of facilities for shoppers..and walkers

It's an OK mall. Feels like it is losing some good shops. Hope it turns around and does need a face lift.

  • 3/5 Rob S. 1 year ago on Google
Is it an outstanding mall? No but it is the Mall that I went to constantly while living here in Calgary. I've had my haircut there, it has a Walmart, a drugstore with a post office (does anyone mail much anymore), a medical laboratory and lots of other shops or facilities. It is also a bit dated and struggled during Covid but it is a vibrant mall or rather busy now so I assume it will be around for quite a while. It rates an okay rating which is a 3 star but I will give it a high 3 star.

  • 3/5 Quasiti W. 9 months ago on Google
This mall is undoubtedly one of the best in the city, offering a diverse and unique atmosphere compared to other malls. The selection of stores is impressive, featuring a Walmart, food court, and The Bay on one end. Despite receiving some unwarranted criticism, I believe it doesn't deserve all the hate it gets as a mall. However, I must admit that the overall vibe is a bit peculiar. While it's an excellent place for shopping and hanging out, it might not be the ideal spot for a first date. There are probably better, more intimate settings to take someone on a first date. Nonetheless, as a shopping and leisure destination, it certainly stands out as a great option in the city.

Nice mall, food court is good, Villa Madina used to be my favorite place but now they give less food, not worth my money. Numerous halal food shops outside as well like Mary Browns, etc. Clinics are located upstairs, best entrance is from the back. Lenscrafters service and staff is nice and helpful. Dollarama and Walmart are excellent.

It was okay. Not the best mall, but I got what I needed. Careful of the taxi drivers that are parked there. My cab started at $5.60. He started the meter before I got in the cab. Then, he took the longest way home. $20.00 the first time I took the cab with an honest driver, and it was $12.00. Just becareful.

Good medium sized mall. Ethnik #ethnik , a great store for imported African shoes, purses, home decor such as pillow and ebony wood carvings. There is a large Wal Mart anchor store, a large food court with Subway, Taco Time, A&W, DairyQueen, and several others. An Urban Heritage, Chattes salon, Mandeez for upscale fashion sourced out from L.A. , a couple of jewelers, and many more.

This area has all the places you generally shop. Walmart, SDM and other regular hangout spots you find in Malls. Surrounded by other pla es such as Home depot, JYSK etc this area is good for weekend and quick shopping on usual days. Very use to Ctrain station so commute is easy. Half a weekend can be spent here before you kove to Sunridge mall nearby.

This mall has clearly seen better days but it looks like they are attempting to make improvements to it. Lots of custom boutique shops which have a niche audience...so not the best shopping depending on your style. The food court organization for covid is not worth it. They hold customers up with no where to put things and you also have to be let out or go under the barrier. The shining jewel in this mall is the jewelery stand which has been there for many years and I hope always remains. Good prices, very friendly service and I never have a bad reaction to the quality.

TL;DR: Decent amount to explore but has lost some of its best stores. Doesn’t seem dangerous, so far. I haven’t shopped at this place in years but I’m surprised this place is still standing despite what other critics say. As far as I have seen today, there has not been any drug addicts or shady people. In fact, it was moderately busy and had a decent vibe. I have noticed a few big stores such as EB Games have shut down and have been replaced by smaller retails, but they sell decent products nonetheless. Their leading retail Sears has been replaced with Makami College, which is almost half of the mall. The food court is still a great, open space with a variety of popular restaurant chains to try out. One clothing retail I came across didn’t accept Apple Pay, which left me unable to buy a hoodie. I suggest bringing your wallet at your own risk because I don’t know if the security has improved or if I just came at a good time during noon, when there were no shady people.

Marlborough mall is a good mall and well located by the train station however it really isn't anything special. the only bad thing is that if you plan to be there a long time bring a drink or be prepared to buy a drink as this mall does not have any water fountains.

  • 3/5 kaleb c. 1 year ago on Google
This mall struggles with out a major name like sears still attached to it has had many face lifts over the years and closes at the weirdest times not a bad place for convenience but nothing like when they had a theater and you wanted to stay longer then a one way lap. Walmart is not attached has a separate schedule and entrance at this point.

We visit this mall often for shopping at Walmart, eating at the McDonald's and the food court. The Freedom wireless here is a great place we visit often. The clothes stores are extremely reasonably priced and always great quality.
