    Literally the worst gym I have ever had to deal with. Women's area has barely any working machines and extremely dirty. They coerce their new registrants to post up a 5 star review for a waive of registration fees. After exemption program was mandated, I tried calling over 20 times to discuss what to do with my account as we could not enter the establishment. I have left multiple voicemails and sent emails as to which they never respond to except to tell me “you signed a contract.” No duh. They charged me over $200 for registering then a couple months later (after exemption program) want me to pay another cancellation fee. Get a grip. I had to deal with ABC fitness for a month before they got back to me and let me know I had to talk to Golds Gym. That’s when I continued to call them and no response, even TILL today. The funny thing is I have proof of every phone call and voicemail. Some weirdo named Sukh Ghuman emailed me with a final collection notice without ever contacting me prior to or letting me know what the total amount is. He is refusing to take any phone calls with me because this gym is gross and unprofessional. I highly recommend going to GoodLife if you can. I used to be with them and they are much much better at dealing with things and more understanding. golds tells you to email or call them but never respond. Be very weary of this gym! They are absolute scammers and have to bribe customers to give them good reviews. Guess I’ll have to take them to court, don’t hassle yourself like I did with this ghetto gym. Just don’t sign up at all.

    WARNING: When there is a global pandemic, Gold's will continue to charge you monthly fees even though they couldn't provide a service during that time, they still told my husband he needed to pay up. Struggling financially during pandemic layoffs? Too bad. Gold's needs that cold hard cash :) When he tried to cancel his membership last month, customer service told him July would be his last payment after paying an insane $100 to cancel. Guess what? Surprise surprise, payments are still coming out now in August. Absolutely livid and will never recommend this scam of a place to anyone ever. So greedy that it's disgusting. Update: contacted the phone number listed below so the owner could "help" us sort this out. They said someone would call us back from upper management. Nobody ever did. Now we will be taking legal action if this isn't sorted immediately. I will not let this go and have hard earned money be STOLEN.

    Stay away from Gold gym which is an epitome of corporate greed and crony capitalism. Also don't go by the ratings, the sales agents will tell you that you are eligible for discount if you leave a review for the gym which in most cases would be positive since you are getting incentives for posting it. Their sales agent will deliberately not tell you what are the exact terms of the contract are conveniently leaving out the fine prints of the contract. Then they will make you sign on a digital pad and without even looking at the contract before signing. Beware it is not a 1-2 year time bound contract but an on going. You cannot cancel it before 1-2 years but they will automatically renew it for another year. They will still charge you for next year even if you are informing them before the renewal day( they will tell you AS PER THE CONTRACT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PAYMENTS DUE IN 30 DAYS INCLUDING BI-WEEKLY PAYMENTS AND NEXT YEAR RENEWAL FEES). Even when I told the front desk guy I am moving out of the city they told me I will have to pay since it is a 1 year contract but never mentioned that I need to inform them 30 days in advance and this was 2 months before my renewal. Their customer service is more like recovery agents trying to bully you. Worst part is that even after making all payments, they still tell you that the account is due and will charge you late fees equal to the payment due and when you ask for explanation the agent will keep you on long holds and then will tell you they will call back without giving you a satisfactory answer. Also check their reviews on Yelp. They are only interested in your money and thats the end of it. Worst company to do any business. Period

    Don’t sign it is a trap. Just to make it clear the gym itself is very well equipped and accessible however. I was a very unsatisfied with their appealing methodology. During my signing off a contract which is beyond two years now, the agreement was obscure and written in a very small font. Be careful when you’re signing a contract and don’t rely on what the salesman tells you. There we’re few details I did not pay attention to. I signed for two years contract and it turned out that there is about $50 fee which I pay to improve the gym. The problem is not the payment itself but not knowing that it did exist. Also, we are paying monthly fees I assume for using the gym. It is not our responsibility to improve the gym. It’s the management responsibility to improve The gym for us. Saying so I was checking my account and despite that my agreement have finished when my two-year contract is finished I was still paying $50 yearly for the gym improvement. Also during Covid time the gym was closed in the last year and a half almost for nearly 6 to 8 months I kept trying to get a refund for those and I was not able to. I wanted to pause my membership and I was provided with an email. I sent an email however they were in the process of changing a billing company so I did not get a response. I was paying for three months where I was outside the country. Also canceling your membership it’s a big hassle to you need to remember that in order to cancel your membership they need to direct you to a phone number they will not buy any circumstances cancel your membership in the gym. Despite that you did your membership in the gym you cannot pause or cancel your membership from them you need to call a company in the working hours which is very own convenient. I got the number and I gave them a shout so after 15 minutes waiting time in about seven minutes of communicating The issue and the guy listens he finally told me well sir you need to send an email to our company and in a matter of few days we will respond to you with a confirmation. However, despite that your membership Agreement is two years and you are beyond that, you still need to give us a one month advance where will you will be paying full amount of fees before we cancel your membership. I sent an email today and we will wait to hear back from them. I’ve heard a lot about communication issues with this particular gym I did not agree with a lot of it however definitely payment is an issue with them and they will never refund you a dollar. One other issue I had with them is my personal trainer. I assigned for three months personal trainer and I paid the full amount as they ask me. However my personal trainer quit the gym and somehow this was my issue. Instead of refunding me back for the last three sessions remaining they ask me to agree to go with another personal trainer and it wasn’t an option. It’s either you join another trainer or you lost your money. I ended up losing all of my money money. Over or are you recommend you to find some other gym ————— Updates: - until now, three payment was withdrawn from my account since I sent my cancelation request. - a year fee of gym improvement was taken 5 days before I asked for cancellation - cancelation request aug 9th - third payment was taken Sept 7th ( for two weeks) - ( total of 137$ since my cancelation ) and still waiting

    I wanna say thanks to Golds gym for hiring so beautiful and professional girls like Leena and Zara . They always ready to help , always smiling and ready to listen you if you have some problems. Honestly most of the time I am coming to the gym not for work out , just for enjoy the time in that place with amazing atmosphere and to see smile of that girls again and again !!     One of the best location to workout. Ezzahra one of the employee working here. she is the best at her job like she always put away weights people left on the floor. She talks with a smile on her face which gives positive vibe. I really liked this place and encourage people to join.

    Worst customer service I've ever seen. Customer service employees choose to end calls and to leave you on hold for 15 minutes and counting just to check billing information. On top of that, I have had an employee flat out end a call mid discussion. Can't even do that right. The annual fees and equipment fees are bull and when signing up, they share their Terms of Service on a small screen where the space for your signature takes up half of the screen. Literally choose any other gym than these bozos. Old equipment with rips and missing weight pins too, clearly not using the equipment fees they are charging everyone. Nothing ticks me off more than scummy businesses like this one. Absolutely putrid. Will never go with any ABC owned branch.

    Best gym!!! Manager is super nice and is always helpful. Its clean and all equipments are set up at appropriate distance to make it look more clean. Love the staff here And I would like to say thanks to Gloria being nice to people saying hi and goodbye When they come in and when they leave. Kind of nice it makes their day going I feel loved here they treat you like family.

    This location is my favorite in the city. The facilities are nice, the equipment plentiful, but the icing on the cake is and always will be the staff! Gloria is a standout, always smiling and friendly to everybody! Keep up the fantastic work 💯

    Great gym, I have been coming here for years and have tried other facilities but I keep coming back. The staff is always friendly and helping. The equipment is excellent and Gloria always goes above and beyond to help everyone.

    DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM!! After leaving golds gym and paying $900 to collections that they told me I owed them, I was glad to finally be done with this gym. Such a scam, hidden fee’s, customer service is not helpful. Literally the first option when you call the gym is “collections”, which should have been my first red flag. A year after I paid my collections from Golds Gym, I received an email today saying I owe ANOTHER $700 to the gym. I don’t even have a membership with them anymore and have paid my outstanding balance. I called them today and of course right after they sent me this email they were off for the weekend so now I have to wait to contact them to have them fix this mistake. SUCH A SCAM! There are so many amazing gyms around the area, DO NOT go to this one!!

    Excellent Service and Support from Gold's Gym Staff! I have been a member of Gold's Gym for several months now, and I must say, the staff here is incredible! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff (Harsh), who efficiently guided me through the registration process. Moreover, the cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities are top-notch. The entire Gold's Team, including the cleaning crew, work tirelessly to ensure a hygienic environment, which is especially important to everyone. Overall, the employees (Leena, Ezzahra & Fareed) at Gold's Gym go above and beyond to create a welcoming and motivating atmosphere. Their dedication to customer service and passion for fitness make this gym stand out. I highly recommend Gold's Gym to anyone seeking a supportive fitness community and excellent service from its hardworking staff!

    One of the few gym locations I have no intimidation from! The staff is always so welcoming as soon as you enter the gym, greeting with smiles and hellos! They keep it clean. Members are also helpful, and motivate you. I drive out of my way just to workout at this location and I always feel good and comfortable while being there!

    I come to this location every morning before work and always come to it neat and organized, which makes it easier to get a good workout in with such limited time. The front desk representative Gloria, is always upbeat, handling her business and willing to help those that need assistance. It feels good being able to walk into the gym knowing that she and others care about providing good service to us guests.

    One of the best gym in the Calgary. Started here few months ago. Signed up by Gloria one of the best sales person she gave me tour explained me all about the gym floor area. She always greets you with smile. This gym have best equipment in the world. Also have kids club and basket ball court too. And so many group fitness classes. I will recommend this gym to all my friends and family.

    It is a great gym. The people are great. During my first week in the gym, I met personal Training Manager and Nutritionist, Jeff. Jeff is very cordial. He explained me how to properly do and schedule exercises and also gave me tips about what is proper nutrition for me after examining my body fat composition. He is highly knowledgeable both in workout training as well as in nutrition. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking advice about workout training and nutrition. Thanks Jeff once again for helpful tips and suggestions.

    I recently had a consultation with Jeff on how best to attain my fitness and nutritional goals. I received way more out of this than expected. After taking measurements using a body scan device I was given the results of where I currently stand in my fitness journey. This was invaluable; everyone should get this done. Jeff provided clear nutritional info geared towards my needs, informed me on the different services offered, and provided a safe environment free from judgment. Thank you so much Jeff!     I had some issues with my payment and talked with billing they didn’t do much so I went into North gate location and talked to the nicest representative I have ever met Gloria. She was so helpful, respectful and above all kind. She went about and beyond to help me. I really appreciate the time she took to resolve the issue, when I left, I felt so good about choosing this gym. Would have given 100 stars if I could have. Amazing experience 100/10

    The two ladies at the front this afternoon were very rude. They need to understand what customer service is and not take their job for granted. The gym in country hill is way better and nicer. The staff treats you like a proper customer and answers to all your needs.

    The front desk staff was very friendly on Labor Day. My regular gym was closed so they let me work out as long as I spread the good word ,and trust me Gold's Gym always has been the best gym in the world and this particular location is no different ! very very clean ,friendly ,very roomy, lots of space to work out! thank you again !     Golds gym is the THE BEST GYM I have ever been to. Things recently been getting a lot more in control in terms of cleanliness and organization. Leena hasn’t been here for long but she has added such a great spirit to the gym -super helpful always happy love to see it. If anyone needs any good deals when it come to membership go to her.     Maria is just a ray of sunshine when you enter the gym! Super friendly, and hard working too. And when you think your experience is over!? She’s truly the light at the end of a tunnel, she always says goodbye with a cheery smile and it always cheers me up even after a rigorous training session, or even if I’m having a bad day. Maria’s definitely an employee you want to keep….! I feel like we all know someone who works just to get paid, but she’s there to deliver a whole experience! I like golds gym because of her!     Even though the lack of equipment because of the amount of people there, I love this gym high spirits and happy faces keeps me motivated, especially the new front desk Kaye! She always greets me with a happy smile and makes me want to work out more. I also love her greetings, smiles and overall positivity! I hope they hire more people like her.

    I’ve been a member of Golds Gym for about 4 years & the customer service has been great; however for the past year I have been interacting with Jesus at the front desk of Golds Gym Northgate and he exceeds the definition of ‘customer service’. Jesus will always greet every member by their name and always with a smile. Moreover, he will come up to me during my workouts and seeks to find out if my workout is going well and if he can be of any help. Golds Gym Calgary is home away from home for me & staff members such as Jesus makes it a welcoming environment.

    I transferred my account months ago due to an accident I was in. I’ve had to come in person multiple times, and was told my account was transferred and cancelled. Tim the GM I spoke with said “ok your account is cancelled for sure now” Now I’m still getting charged AGAIN and have not been refunded. I’m not one to leave reviews but the service has been absolutely awful. They owe me over $100 and I’ve not been to this facility in months. The other person is still using the gym and getting charged as well. I’m not sure why it’s such a hard job to properly transfer a cancel account, or if they just want to keep collecting money for me. Either way poor service and communication.

    Golds Northgate has been around for ages. It’s a tough industry and there is a reason why Golds is now expanding; great customer service and amazing management and staff. I continue to be drawn back to Golds due to its great location, motivating atmosphere, and amazing staff. Gloria has gone above and beyond to help me figure out how to get to the gym while struggling financially, motivate me with training, and personalized things with a keen ear to listen. If your a beginner, intermediate, moderate, advance or pro-level body building. Or just want to get fit, Golds has diversified to be able to meet your needs where your at. If your on edge about where to train, Golds has transformed itself over the years to be a top contender in the industry. This is just one of those things you need to try for yourself. Give Golds a call if your interested I think they have a available free first workout to see if it’s your fit, and to discuss which membership plan works for you. Thanks Golds for supporting me with my goals over the years.

    It was overcrowded during 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm. COVID protocols are out of window. 20% of cardio machines are not usable. Very old gym equipments. Needs maintenance for sure. Feels like highly priced.

    Good and well equipped gym for fitness lovers. But the location is not the best place to hang around. Also make sure to read the contract before signing in, the gym requires a month notice for membership cancellation and $ CAD 200 buy out fees. But overall a good place to work out.

    I think the gym is at a great location. the people at the front desk are always friendly and I always see them willing to help members. I don’t know all their names but I’ve had great experiences with Leena, Julia and Ezzeinra I was nervous cause I’m new the gym and made me feel so comfortable. I also highly recommend Anna I really struggled with doing basic movements I shook doing every movement cause of bad joints but she slowly helped me build confidence and it turned into being stable when I do normal exercises which was a huge break through for me. So if you go to this location they have such great support systems.

    We checked out golds gym for the first time today. The staff was super friendly and took the time to show us around the very large facility. They offer a tonne of different equipment, which makes it easy to get through your workout with minimal delay. Although it can seem intimidating at first, some people helped me out when they noticed I looked lost a couple times haha. Will be back

    They were kind enough to let me charge my phone here. I saw so many people come and go during that time (10 minutes) I got a real sense of the atmosphere. It's quite energetic, positive, and friendly. This gym has a real sense of community. I plan on joining as soon as I secure the pay raise next year. Hope to see you there!

    Meet with Tim and did a walk through of the gym. He showed me all the areas and went over sanitization processes. It was great and any questions I had Tim was able to answer them. Very friendly staff and very clean facility Thank you. I look forward to starting my work outs with Gold!

    This used to be a gorgeous and clean place. The equipment is great when it's in good working order. Unfortunately, the level of disrespectful behaviour of the lockers and equipment has definitely made this location less than it used to be. On a positive, the staff are great, large area with lots of equipment to choose from and, they have a well padded MMA/boxing area!

    I wanted to take some time to rave about Tim, he opened my brother's account at Golds and has been so supportive as an employee and someone who overall cares about his members and reasons for being at the gym. I was so happy when he set up my account providing as much information to the questions asked and gave me said he'll always be around if there was anything I needed.     I love this gym. I work out at the Northgate gym and have seen the owners from time to time. Great people and their manager Tim and all the employees are so friendly and welcoming. Top quality equipment and friendly members. This is definitely the best Gym I’ve ever been a part of.

    I was visiting this gym because I was interested in joining. The girl at the front desk, Kaye, was very helpful. I was very impressed with how well she was managing the gym. She was amazing at showing me around the gym and making me feel very comfortable here. I will most definitely be coming back thanks to her.

    Best gym!!! Manager is super nice and is always helpful. Its clean and all equipments are set up at appropriate distance to make it look more clean. Love the staff here and really enjoy working out.

    Amazing staff! Cleanest and friendliest gym I've been to. Thanks to Scotty for his incredible customer service! The only negative is that we don't have more locations in BC!
