The Calgary Stampede should be done at least once in a lifetime, if you can make it. The Rodeo is such a display of skill and the Chuck wagon races are something special between man and horse. Lots and lots of rides for the young or young at heart, just be prepared for the long lines, you can get an Express Pass and allows you to skip the long lines. There are magic shows, motorcycle jump shows etc. Every night there are amazing fireworks. Lots and lots of food, literally everywhere you look. Wear a hat, it can get hot in the daytime. Most Definitely worth a visit.

Super fun, beautiful fireworks and so worth it! Food is always the expensive part but if you're going to the Grandstand show then you are in for quite a treat. The fireworks especially for the first and last day are super pretty! For families, teenagers and adults you'll find something amazing

Rodeo was alot of fun! Going as a family you need 2 days at the stampede to really enjoy everything the park has to offer. ( rides, agriculture arena, dog show and entertainment, food, rodeo, fireworks, evening shows) We had a great time and will be back next year! ** Buy the day pass not stamps!! or rides will cost you a fortune.

The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth and rightly so lives up to its expectations each & every year we visit this place! One cannot get enough of the place in a day. Wish it would last more than 10 days in a year! On average 1.0M people visit the event each year from as far as Far East, Middle East, Europe and United States and from other parts of our great country Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

Having lived out here for 12 years Iโ€™ve only been to Stampede twice, with last week on Friday parade day being one of those. After two long years of the pandemic, it was nice to feel the energy and the excitement, and the rhythm of the music at the stampede grounds. It can get overly crowded for sure and unfortunately thereโ€™s always the ones that donโ€™t know how to behave properly, but mostly overall people were having a good time. Thatโ€™s what it should be about. I have to leave one star off because I donโ€™t agree with the use of animals in entertainment, and inevitably there are always animals that get killed at this event which is an aspect I detest.

Once a year world renowned outdoor festival. Must visit in lifetime. Obviously crowded as this is just 10 days event. All rides are lined up and have a lot of waiting in the queue. Recommend to buy all day ride pass and Express lane pass. Full day event or atleast multiple day entrance is an option for someone who can enjoy Carnival environments. Late evening rides will not be that much crowded. Almost 4 days you can enter free of cost (sponsored by different companies) and rest its paid days. Wide variety of food options. Fun unlimited.

We went to the Stampede last summer (2021) and we had an Amazing time! I'll start with the Fireworks...the amazing Fireworks, just, when we thought the fireworks were over...they would start again :) Definitely the most wonderful fireworks display I'd ever seen. The show itself was very organized, even, with such a large area, we never really felt lost because of the abundance of information available. Well done Stampede organizers.

What can you really say about the greatest outdoor show on earth? There's something for everyone and it changes every year. During the actual stampede, my personal favourite is the deep fried Oreos. Throughout the rest of the year, there are so many different shows and events to draw you in. I'm looking forward to seeing the new proposed 17ave extension into the grounds. Parking for events can be challenging, so always give yourself plenty of extra time. Transit is a very logical alternative.

One must go to this stampede at least once if not every time. My favourite were the motorcycle stunts featured on a particular evening that I could not shoot but it was thrilling. Display by the Canadian army is also my favourite. There is something for everyone. Food , rides, children rides, face painting, betting, gambling, clubbing , alcohol, performing arts, live music and the high list spectacular fireworks. Itโ€™s very very busy during Calgary stampede but the joy is sometimes in the crowd n rush. Still the management of such a massive scale event is great. Everything flows smoothly. Buy tickets at the gate or online and you are zoomed into the GM huge grounds . Oh I forgot to mention the horse show. I missed it but I was happy just to see the stables. Must go place

So much fun for people of all ages! The rides are great fun. Food is delicious, and a huge variety. You could spend so much time here. Nashville North was great for dancing with friends! Musical acts are pretty popular as well. Saw Sheryl Crow a few years back for free. Such an amazing memory! Hoping to make it back here again in the future.

We didn't attend any of the main shows but we explored the other attractions and the food. It was loads of fun! After two years of pandemic isolation, it was really nice to be in this festive atmosphere surrounded by people enjoying themselves. One of the main highlights was the Elbow River Camp of the Indigenous people of the region. It was absolutely fantastic! We attended a dance performance there and at the same time learned more about their culture, traditions, and ceremonies. We also ate bannock with jam, which is a heavy but tasty snack. Definitely going to come back again next year!

The food was amazing but overpriced for what you get and the rides are super overpriced, carnivals are medium-range but the carnivals are mostly scams especially the red star shooter but the dog show was very awesome!

Five stars for the rodeo! Absolutely fantastic! The rest....the kids entertainment is crammed in a little corner. So many children and parents waiting to see Paw Patrol and they have the tiniest little stage and seating area. They can't join in or even see half the time. Waited 1.5 hours to watch a 20 minute show because last year our son was at the back of a huge crowd and could not see a thing. Doesn't really feel like a celebration of western culture, just a 10 day fancy dress party aimed at people that will spend a ton of money on alcohol. Not really family friendly at all (except for kids day (morning) which is really good). I will state again though that the rodeo is fab! Wish we didn't have to go through the rowdy, drunken crowds to get out of the stampede grounds though and back to our vehicle.

After a 17 year gap, we decided to check out the Calgary Stampede - we always enjoy watching coverage on TV but itโ€™s fun to walk the midway and grounds and see live shows. The daily schedule helped us to plan the day and we lucked out by getting in free before 11:00am - not sure why but ๐Ÿค . We enjoyed: the RCMP Musical Ride - a proud Canadian tradition and celebration of 150 years of service; the illusionist, Stampede Show Riders, River Camp village with Indigenous dancers, market place displays, animal displays, show band, and Canine Stars. Searching for gluten free options was a bit of a chore but we found some poutine, dole whip and caramel apples. ๐Ÿ˜‹see pictures. We ended our day with a T&S concert at the Coca Cola stage which is an amazing new-and-improved outdoor stage venue. We are 50+ so didnโ€™t partake in rides or much after 10:30 but after 12 hours we had a full day!

In third grade, my class had to pick a state or province and do a project on it. I got Alberta and wanted to visit ever since. One magical day, I found myself on the phone with a woman who lived there who asked if I had heard of Calgary Stampede. I had not and she proceeded to explain it in great detail. At 27 years old, I decided right then and there I was going to go to the next Calgary Stampede. I ended up taking a friend on the 2,000 mile road trip. When we arrived at the gates, I was expecting to pay at least $20 to get in was surprised it equalled to about $3. The rest of the day was a whirlwind of art, music, vendors, cowboy outfits, rodeos, and sheer child-like glee. It was all well organized and managed and every where you looked, there was something interesting or fun. I will be going back and bringing all my American friends along. One should truly experience this event.

Yes. So happy we were fortunate to attend the Stampede. First time ever. One day we went to see the Chuck Wagon Races .. the next day attended the Stampede Rodeo and musical variety show and fireworks. Walked around and enjoyed the grounds. Unbelievable how many people were there. Whoa I have attached a few photos. If you get a chance to attend the Stampede next year, Go. Yaaaahooo

For more than 100 years, local First Nations have camped at the Calgary Stampede โ€“ their โ€œIndian Villageโ€ site has always been a quieter part of the massive show on the banks of the Elbow River, with colourful tepee displays, and traditional storytelling and ceremonies.

Not the same, with fewer rides and games but considering everything they still put together a fun event. 2021 will be one to remember. Grandstand show wasn't the same without the chucks but the fireworks were amazing.

I simply looooveee Stampede! Tons of fun things to do, one day is not enough. One place to visit at least once in your lifetime

You are welcomed by food stalls with a wide variety of food and drinks, ranging from simple lemonade to Gator bites. The rides are fun, especially enjoyed the gravitron. We also watched the cattle penning, which blew our minds. The precision control the riders have on their horses is incredible.

People are friendly, security is serious with COVID measures. If you are an anti-vaxxer or anti-masker you will not be allowed entry. Floor is a bit sticky inside the arena but the hockey game was fun and safe. Very bright. Is a tad bit cold bring a sweater when visiting. Wouldn't recommend heels as with the cement stairs it's safer with flats or sneakers ๐Ÿ˜Š

A lot of fun to go to the Stampede yearly with friends, family, and loved ones. There is always something to do at the Stampede whether that be going on what seems like hundreds of rides and games available at the midway on the property, or indulge in a weird food that is hard to find offered anywhere else. I would recommend seeing the firework show / rodeo close up as it is an exhilarating experience everyone should experience at lest once in their life time. My only criticism of the stampede would be how the price of everything is slightly over priced, but its worth the good time most of the time.

Wonderful events at the stampede ground. Various rides and games can be enjoyed with family n kids. In the evening you can enjoy the rodeo shows, live events n much more. Different varieties of food can be enjoyed served by many vendors.

A place where children can have a good time with various rides and other attractions. Food and chance games in plenty. The volunteers band was impressive and entertaining. One of the largest ferry wheels and full of people from around the world. Parking space a big problem.

  • 3/5 L. S. 1 year ago on Google
Prices for everything this year has sky rocketed, so no surprise everything at the stampede is the same. 16$ for a deep fried onion with dip? Crazy..(Collasal) 5$ for a small bottle of coke, 8$ for water! The lineups for each ride was ridiculous, sometimes 50 min wait. No organization, just random lines of drunk sweaty people all over the place. At times, you could not even walk on the midway. Yeah the weather was great, but doesn't justify the over crowding. If you like the Ritz and glitz of the lights, rodeo, loud drunk carnies on their microphones, trying to lure you into their almost impossible midway games, this is the place for you! My family and I won't be back for quite sometime.

  • 4/5 Kevin W. 9 months ago on Google
We were glad we went, and a two day visit was enough! One giant theme park, which is great for the kids, and also so many food and drinks vendors. It seems to be about, sell, sell, sell, rather than about conservation, compassion, and preservation of tradition. However, saying all of that, it is the biggest outdoor show we've ever been to...

  • 5/5 Dhruv G. 8 months ago on Google
One and only of its kind in entire North America if I am not wrong. You got food, rides, cultural activities, music and what not. Remember it is for 10 days only so make sure you visit it at least once since it is worth it. I bought a ticket online and it was 90 bucks worth.

  • 5/5 vijay k. 9 months ago on Google
Indeed it is the greatest outdoor show on the earth. The place is extermly busy. Plan your visit with an umbrella or a poncho since the weather during this month is completely unpredictable. Great place for kids to have tons of fun. Rodeo and the evening show are the best of the attraction. Chuk race, relay race is great fun.

Ample entertainment available with admission into the grounds. I like to try something new each year but the mini donuts remain a favourite. Lots of information is posted on the website for those who like to plan and get the most out of their day.

Best time of the year for rodeo people as the events at infield are well worth attending . My favorites are the bull riding and the chuckwagons. The midway is fun and colorful at night. The whole city shuts down for the duration of the stampede. No one goes to work, bars are full and breakfast is free. What's not to like

The Calgary Stampede... calls itself the greatest outdoor show on earth. Its definitely a fun Annual event that literally shuts down the entire city. Lots to do and see with the family or for date night. I will say be prepared to dish out some premium coin for this outing ... or over the next 10 Days.

  • 4/5 George M. 3 years ago on Google
Lots to do thatโ€™s included with the gate admission. The food is really an adventure on itโ€™s own, although insanely priced. Shows and demonstrations are very cool and the vendors at the markets are unique.

We spend literally 10 hours there and you could spend more. Easy to get around with the map they gave us and plenty of food and bathrooms. Pro tip: best bathrooms are in the Wild West oasis. Go through the shopping indoor area and way in the back is another huge room.
