Pretty decent mall, easy access via Deerfoot Hwy2. Has some common stores we frequent visit. We particularly like the food court playground for the young kids, good size, safe, and full of seatings for the adults.

Love the new look and feel of the place. There is lots to do including: shopping, food, an indoor rec room and an indoor sky diving spot. The highlight is definitely the IHOP of course.

After renovation...this place is really good. Lots of new stores opened and the food court...amazing. The parking lot is surrounded by the whole complex. Different vendors and stores make it a nice and enjoyable experience. Like to shop and eat around Deerfoot city.

The Block Party is a riot! The whole daily enjoyed the roller skating (cost is a donation to a charity to cover the skate/helmet/safety gear rental and free bowling! Linny the instructor was encouraging and truly loves to share roller skating with others. The skate rentals are cool prints and patterns to help you feel cool even when you fall 😆 I think you can roll up in your own roller blades/skates and skate for free. We loved our time at Deerfoot City and look forward to their colorful, interactive art installations, truly a blast! The food court is currently under construction as they are putting in LINA'S Italian Deli, and we are looking forward to it!

If ever there was a standard for Security or even for the words to protect and serve I honestly believe that Standard is here in the quality of staff, of the security team, and administrative team. The due diligence paid, and any differing in safety, and security blended, to form a net of collective stability, Seen and felt with, for and of each individual, this was something unique to witness, and also to personally experience. This was the closest yet to the terms: PRIVATE & PUBLIC BUSINESS (entrepreneurial and corporate, included), COMMUNITY, and GOVERNING, blending into one congruent picture., without coming out perpendicular to each other or like a cruel joke wrapped in nails going down a chalkboard, but rather remind me of something akin to Sesame Street or Fred penner or Mr. dress it Mr. Rogers. Even Lego it reminds me of those paintings from the 50s pictures of nostalgia in reference to the words family, community, life, freedom and happiness. It was very strange indeed looking back but I think everyone should come to this mall. The security team is absolutely phenomenal diverse and balanced it seems to have more response than reaction. The orchestration of care not only for the guests and patrons in addition to the business owners and business employees but also for fellow coworkers was truly outstanding the management of security team, is someone truly Great at leader ship and example but everyone is an integral and equal part of that team and that’s why it works so well. Administration team is really awesome and although I did not have much time to get to know them if you want to be a part of this community I would recommend getting to know both of these departments there’s some very special people here and I think there’s great things to come for this community it draws people to it Like the sun draws the face of a sunflower. The statue of Deerfoot is definitely worth standing in close enough to absorb the feeling. One of the coolest statues I’ve seen in Calgary it seems a little weirdly placed but when you stop thinking and just take it in, it’s absolutely amazing, breath taking, and fills your lungs with air so brisk that you feel like you’ve been running with him for that brief second before he flew by you! Awesome place definitely worth a visit come check it out every time you’ll find another corner of life, that you didn’t know was there. Excellent staff throughout the entire mall!!

I liked the area much better when it was a mall and you could walk around and go in and out of shops. Now it's just stores cluttered everywhere surrounded by a giant parking lot. It's busy and crowded and the layout doesn't really seem like a good idea to me.

We went roller skating and had such a great time! I think having a few larger sizes of knee, elbow, and wrist pads would be good because I nearly didn't fit mine. Otherwise we had a great time, the skates were great, and the staff were lovely. Would love to go again

We go to Tim's there regularly for a quick breakfast. Parking lot is well cared for guys are out cleaning early. The Christmas lights have been up for awhile and looks festive.

After all the work they did on the renovation and upgrades, it's a pretty normal mall space with current styling. They are trying to shift away from outlet box stores to more boutique names. It has a Walmart and several normal food chains. It has some interesting food spaces. It looks like the food court has been shut down to make room for something else.

Great place for a large group or family/personal dining experience. This place boasts a large assortment of Chinese dishes and some Western dishes too. Ranging from steamed bun, curry chicken, dumplings, noodles, French fries, and deep-fried chicken. With such a huge assortment of possibilities, there is no way to try at least one of everything. I would recommend this place for a nice belly-filling buffet. I will be going back again.

I love deerfoot city for the entertainment and food selections. There is something for all ages. It is a very special place for the family to create memories, laugh, and bond ❤️

Need more food court venders. Some neat small business operators here but it's so slow, they all close early and the options are sparse. Advertise, bring in more people and get this place going already!

Love this mini mall! There's pretty much everything that you need and more. There's stores in here that I didn't even know were there until I started walking around the entire area. They always have neat outdoor activities going on too between the food court building and Urban Planet. This summer it was a really cool outdoor roller skating rink with the most awesome roller skates that you can use! The winter is usually an outdoor skating rink and there's always great music playing too! Besides the Walmart and clothing stores and places to eat, there's also many personal health businesses such as optometrists, gyms, medical centers, furniture stores, ect. It's most definitely a great place to check out for yourself!!!

Big stores can be seen, didn't have the chance to explore it, but parking lot requires a transit review get congested very easily.

Its a shame that Deerfoot City appears to be dying off. This is such a great concept and could really be a nice space if they could manage to acquire and retain more businesses. It seems the only businesses still here are chain locations. Even at that, several have pulled out of the food hall lately and left quite an empty space. I really hope they manage to do something to attract more local businesses but I can't see how they would manage to keep alive in a space like this without first generating more traffic.

We had a wonderful experience for our Santa photos! They were organized and very accommodating. Lots of fun activities for kids and picture op's for adults. Highly recommend!

Deerfoot City always does such a good job with the Block Party every year providing a nice way to spend some time outside. Lots of shops to pop into as well and looks like Lina’s Italian is moving into the food court area. We also like taking advantage of the free Family Day photo they do every year and other pop ups :)

  • 5/5 Carlos S. 8 months ago on Google
Love this place It's a great way to pass time and a great idea. It would be awesome if they could continue this on trough with and possibly bring people in to skate as well. Keep up the good work dearfoot city💪🤙

We visited Rec Room and enjoyed our time with kids and family. Variety in drinks menu was too good. Vegetarian options were very limited. Staff was polite and helpful. Will surely visit soon!

Food court or no food court? Deerfoot city just can't decide. Presently they have closed the food court but there are restaurants still open. Can you make this less confusing for patrons?! Lina's Italian market is going to open next year, but in the meantime what a confusing disaster. Don't come here if you are hungry!

Deerfoot City Santa is awesome! He called our kids by name when it was their turn. So cute! The staff was over the top kind and happy. They all did a fantastic job at making us feel like we were the only ones there, with no rushing. The setup is fabulous! Lots of photo ops and the oppportunity to stick around and enjoy the Christmas spirit. This year's setup was in it's own space, separate from the mall. It was so much better as there weren't any crowds. We drove from the deep southwest and so happy we did!

Great upcoming place. Not often that busy, plenty of parking and places to eat while shopping. A few big name stores around as well to visit off of the mall nearby. Mall has a small food court also up and coming with a nice play place for your kids to enjoy.

Staff are incredible and they always go over and above to make their events special. We especially loved meeting Santa this year. My kids were elated!

My family and I had so much fun at the Deerfoot City rolling skating facility (Block party) during the weekend. We could rent the equipment needed for all of us (CAD$15 for the whole family, skates and safety gear) and enjoyed a very good time in a safe rink. We also played in the bowling area. Loved it! We are definitely coming back!

Booked a Santa appointment and this is 100% going to be my go to Santa visit every year. I love that the Santa experience has its own space so it's only full of the appointments not other foot traffic. The staff were all AMAZING. Every. Single. One. Was incredibly personable and friendly. The area of tables for coloring and such is a nice touch along with other photo worthy backdrops like the wall mural or Christmas trees. Pricing was better overall for digital and print vs other malls. Just everything about the experience was really great. I am so glad we visited.

The development here is nice; I headed over for the wine store, but then I noticed Leena's Italian market had taken over the food court, and this was a welcome surprise. I live close to the original location, and while that has its own charm, the deerfoot city location is worth a visit. Deerfoot City is really developing nicely.

This place gives off a very cozy feel especially at night. The inside is very pretty and is clean. There is not much to do here but other then that it's a pretty good place.

It's still under construction in some places. But the shops that are there are good and the Walmart super center is convenient.

Really enjoying the revamp of the mall. My go to places are Cabela's and Canadian Tire. I can't wait to see what comes in when they developed the SW side of the property.

Such an unusual and quirky mall, mostly outside with a beautiful vibrant play space. Stellar food offering, I highly recommend Chronic Taco.

  • 4/5 Peter F. 2 years ago on Google
I find this mall area a pain to get around as the roads are all over the place. To get to from the highway is otherwise easy. Lots of shots from food to furniture etc. Walmart is also in the back side of this are as well as canadian tire.

Outdoor style mall. Store entrances from outside. No common interior area like your typical urban mall. Food court standalone building. A different style and feel for a urban mall. When fully completed with public square, potential for vibrancy and draw alot more people.

Really beautiful mall, with enough options to spend the afternoon with my mom. We had lots of fun together

  • 5/5 Festus O. 2 years ago on Google
Expansive environment with professional offices and some retail stores. Quick place to take coffee and satisfy your appetite. Relatively quiet environment with some major stores present. Also boost of Specialist clinics.

  • 3/5 Paige S. 2 years ago on Google
Very clean and beautiful. The stores however are very basic and half the mall is empty. Will be wonderful once it is full. Is quite windy everytime I come here and as it is an outside mall I would recommend wearing a wind breaker!

  • 5/5 Judy 2 years ago on Google
I love the mall's whole set up where the stores are separated from each other, which makes the place feel less crowded.

  • 5/5 Michelle K. 2 years ago on Google
Such a beautiful outdoor mall with great selection! It looks like it’s all very newly constructed! We really enjoyed the outdoor skating rink, although the synthetic ice can be a little tricky to skate on, the employees were super helpful and nice. They even offered us free hot chocolates!

Good spot for various shopping needs. The Canadian Tire and the Braces place are handy

  • 1/5 Chris B. 1 year ago on Google
The mall’s upgrades to the building looks great. But traffic, parking and pedestrian issues still plague the mall. Pedestrians J walking and not looking out for traffic. Drivers not following traffic signs. Parking is also ridiculous, the parking lots infront of the mall is jam packed.

  • 5/5 J H. 2 years ago on Google
It's actually improved so much since I moved to Calgary 10 years ago. The area is quite nice. Decent stores. Fun activities for kids. I used to think it was quite the slum area, but the revamp is stellar

  • 5/5 Jason N. 2 years ago on Google
5 stars for the continued efforts to improve the area and shopping experience. Deerfoot city is now comprised of stores laid out in a sort of cross pattern, allowing people to walk on the streets outside to visit each location. It’s a unique style in terms of Calgary malls and it looks modern as you’re walking down the sidewalk. It’s not a huge selection of stores but enough for a quick stroll. The food hall is quite nice with many unique food options to choose from and a nice spacious eating area. Parking is plentiful with the nearby Walmart. Worth checking out!

  • 5/5 Vern C. 2 years ago on Google
We came for the "Rec Room". It was my first time there, and I was impressed. Think of a very upscale or upmarket Chuck-e-Cheese.The food was great, and the games were modern (my son played, I didn't). We'll be back!

  • 5/5 Omolara S. 1 year ago on Google
The Walmart super centre could get busy but it has tons of modern self check out machines. You can get a cart without a coin if you're lucky. They no longer use plastic bags so you need to go with your bags or buy reusable bags in store

  • 4/5 Jennifer S. 1 year ago on Google
There are a lot more stores opening which is great. It is an outside mall so very nice to wall in the summer. There are fine restaurants too.

  • 5/5 C K. 1 year ago on Google
My daughter loves coming and has been about 4-5 times already! Nice affordable way for family and friends fun! Make sure to bring your own helmet tho incase they run out! Children have to where them when skating! They also supply knee and elbow pads! The vibe is so fun and colorful.

I visit this mall every weekend to meet up with my grandmother. The place is very nice, I love the concept of the new shopping centre, it’s modern, and gives off a positive vibe. They have great options for food. The only thing I don’t like is the car club meetup in the parking lot every so often. They drive recklessly, and are extremely loud.

  • 4/5 Leeky S. 1 year ago on Google
As a visitor to this complex, it's a marked change from the old Deerfoot Mall. Access is now from the outdoor parking lots. An eclectic but pleasant array of different stores including a huge Walmart Superstore. Definitely worth exploring at another time.

I was anticipating chaos but wow. Parking. Congestion. All taken care of. Maybe there are busy times. But in general really impressed. Westbrook needs to look what they did here and rinse and repeat.
