While searching for a family doctor, I experienced nothing but challenges with this clinic. This is a difficult clinic to reach by phone - and if you do, the response is less than professional or personable and the information is questionable. If you choose to email, there is no response. This concerns me about the quality of care patients are receiving. In many medical matters, time (both giving and receiving of information) is of the utmost importance. This does not appear to be a priority for this clinic. Disappointing and concerning. AHS should investigate.

I am currently in the process of reporting Dr. Shymma Saeed to AHS. I went in to see her in July 2022 for a breast lump I found, she did a quick 30 second exam and told me this is normal breast tissue and waived off my concern. 6 months have passed, the lump has not gone away as she suggested it would. I found a new family doctor for a second opinion. My new doctor sent me in to get an ultrasound and biopsy. I have a grade 2 Invasive Duct Carcinoma. I have breast cancer Dr. Saeed waived off my concern because of my age, I am only 26 years old. I understand that I’m low risk, but the lump was there and Dr. Saeed was negligent and didn’t take my concern seriously. I could have been diagnosed 6 months sooner if she just did her job. I’m only writing this review to warn others, I could be the only mistake she makes, and I hope I am, but if this review can save even one other person, then my goal is accomplished. Please beware, trust your body, trust your instinct, and if something in the back of your mind tells you your doctor is being negligent, please listen to that.

This people are unprofessional. I have been going to doctor Doherty for the last 10 years. He is very good doctor but the receptionist and the fat white nurse always rude to us. It took me 40 minutes to get there. I was there 10 minutes early. They kept me waiting for 2 hours and I didn’t even get to see the doctor. What’s the point of booking an appointment if you have to wait that long to see a doctor

Super disappointed with this clinic. It's near impossible to get through on the phone to book and appointment. At my most recent appointment I had to wait over an hour and a half past my appointment time. They didn't have the courtesy at check in to inform people that the doctor was so far behind. I like my doctor but hate my experiences at this place. Recommend elsewhere.

Horrible clinic. For those who are saying that they never answer the phone...I just tried a little experiment. I called 6 times in a row- one right after the other. Every time it went to voicemail I hung up and called back straight away. On the 6th ring, someone finally picked up and asked to put me on hold. It seems you have to 'annoy' them in order for your concerns to be taken seriously. Also, had a horrible experience with a doctor (who was not my family doctor as she was away for an emergency) a few weeks ago. Unprofessional and did not seem to care about my needs/concerns.

I do not recommend this Clinic at all. I have tried repeatedly to book appointments back in 2021, left voicemails and had no response until 9 Months later. After all that, booked an appointment that took over a month to get in with the doctor who then cancelled a day before my appointment which I can only assume was for vacation as reception told me they would be back in the office 3 weeks later. I have even called back to rebook and haven't heard back from them since.

Absolutely Terrible. I took off work to go see my doctor and when I got to my appointment they claimed that the doctor was gone for the whole week. If the doctor is planning to leave (aside from urgency which would be mentioned when telling patients so they better understand) for a whole WEEK please do NOT call your patients and confirm their appointment the day prior just for the doctor to be off.

my doctor at this clinic is fantastic but the professionalism at the front desk is non-existent. they rarely pick up the phone and never respond to voicemail messages. very unfortunate for the doctors and nurses who work here.

I didn't like my family doctor here. I asked him about my conditions and he didn't know and refused to look it up. I asked for a referral and after 5 months no appointment was booked. I asked him about it and he said they're probably busy. He never followed up. No appointment was ever made. Years later I saw another doctor at this clinic and she got me scheduled within a week for the same service. I'm happy with her work but my own doctor there is beyond frustrating and has no bedside manner. Now I am with a new doctor there who is good but the front desk is impossible. They never answer the phone and don't follow up or requests or return messages. Very frustrating.

Dr. Mercy is awesome! So grateful to have her as my family doctor. She is kind, extremely knowledgable about women’s issues and also takes mental health and specialist referrals seriously. In the past, I found going to the doctor intimidating, but she makes the experience enjoyable :) note: it is difficult to get an appointment and you often have to wait for weeks but it’s worth it.

The clinic itself is commendable, with competent doctors. However, I must express my disappointment with the front desk staff. Their lack of organization and inconsistent guidance can be frustrating for patients. There have been instances where the information provided over the phone differed from what was communicated at the clinic, leading to misunderstandings. I sincerely hope that the clinic owners take proactive measures to enhance their customer service and address these concerns

It is impossible to get a hold of anyone here. No one ever answers the phone. Voicemails have never been returned. The online booking system also results in nothing. I don't understand. Why is it so hard. I just want to see a doctor.

Dr. Joseph Doherty is by far the best Doctor he is very professional and knowledgeable. He treat people like a family member with respect and genuine love an care for his patients. My family and I have been a patients of Dr. Joseph Doherty for 10 years now. The staff is very friendly too. I highly recommend Humana Medical Clinic.

Don’t agree with a lot of the comments here, and have always found the staff kind and accommodating. Phones are a bit of a challenge, but if you call a couple times in a row they almost always answer. Dr. Mercy has been absolutely amazing, and I’m so thankful I found her.

I have been going to Humana on and off for a few years. Dr Doherty is an amazing doctor, very knowledgeable and friendly. However, the front desk staff seems to change frequently, they are not always friendly and look overwhelmed most of the time. And my booked appointment is never on time, I usually wait an hour to see the doctor. I have seen some of the other doctors as well, they are pretty good. Just a shame that the front staff lacks the enthusiasm that the medical staff has!

Even with appointment booked months in advance they still make you wait 2+ hours to see your doctor. Worst clinic ever. They are very unorganized and just cramp people on the schedule to a point were people with appointments are waiting hours just to see their family doctor. Front desk are no help too they don’t care at all. Just terrible

Almost impossible to get a hold of anyone at the reception. Nothing negative to say about the medical staff, but the inability to answer phones, schedule appointments etc. is quite frankly bewildering. In the two years that I have been visiting the clinic, my phone calls have been answered less than 20% of the time, and not once has a message that I've left ever been returned or addressed in any fashion.

Doctor Doherty is amazing! Never had an issue with the doctor. However I had to go there physically to book an appointment due to me not being able to get in touch with them. The lady at the desk was lovely but when I called to confirm the booking, the lady on the phone was rude.

Today I have a really bad experience , I I have an appoinment with doctor Mercy Akinsipe and I arrive on time and after make me wait for 45 min because the doctor hear me talking to the front desk telling her I was leaving she decide to came out of a room, she was not even with a patient and she did not even give me an apology .Make me lose work time and my classes. I did sent them an email and also submitt a complaint to Alberta Health Services and I dont have any desire to continue with any of their services.

The absolute worst reception/ front end service. They just hang up the phone if it's busy, and if they pick up and put you on a wait they'll still hang up the phone. I had to call four times and spent over an hour waiting trying to get a hold of someone. You can't count on them at ALL to be efficient with your referrals. I wish the doctor practiced somewhere else so I could stop wasting countless hours dealing with the front staff.

Honestly the best medical clinic. I have been seeing Dr Doherty since I was about 11 years old - about 17 years. Since ive moved away, I’ve made the mistake of trying to find a different family doctor. A MISTAKE. I now live about an hour away and have found my way back. To be very honest, the reason why the wait times are so long, I find, is because the doctors are so detailed in regards to the care they are giving. I’ve never felt rushed. They patiently wait for you to explain all of your concerns and go through all the findings with you one by one. I highly recommend this clinic. Highly highly recommend.

I have an appointment with my doctor at 10am today and this Humana medical clinic open at 9am. I am still in Lobby before the front destk at 11:11am. My appointmemt time is a hour later than thier opening time and I am waiting now and then I will wait one more hour for the doctor in the room. It is so terrible system. My doctor is good. But the front desk people are not good and they don't have customer service.

Dr. Mercy is an awesome doctor. I have been seeing her since 2020, She is a very caring and kind doctor. She also make sure all my medical requirements, is up to dates. I really appreciated it.

I wouldn’t recommend this clinic to anyone. I’ve never came here for a scheduled appointment and not waited for over 2 hours. Today I came in as a walk in patient for a simple Dtap vaccine at 10:00 am, it’s now 3:13pm and I’m still in the waiting room with no idea if I’ll even be scene today. Based off the other reviews I’d say something needs to change.

i called, said i was a new patient and they told me to come in at 10:00am. i got there and was told they aren't accepting new patients. thanks for wasting my time front desk nigerian guy :)

I think I already rated the clinic and gave 5 stars because of the doctors and the old staff. I love my doctor, Dr. Gill is so professional and human. My experience with the other doctors is amazing as well. But this new staff with all honesty deserves no star, almost of them to be fair, they're unprofessional, no smiling, rude on the phone and coming with new rules, if patients are talking loudly on the phone in the waiting room they don't care. I am not sure if the doctors know what's happening. It was always a pleasant experience coming to the clinic, but not anymore. Thank you to the old staff with the filipino girls. They were so nice, courteous, and human. Missing you!

This is the first time I am providing a review in my life! Dr Mercy Akinsipe is the best doctor I have ever seen. I have seen many specialists and doctors in my life but Dr Mercy is the only one who treats you like her own family and really does her best to help you with any of your medical concerns. She has stayed several hours after her own business hours until late nights and also on her days off, to go over my medical concerns and reviewed my files and has provided the best advice and solutions which has been very impressive! She cares about her patients like family and always give you the best answer. She is very smart and kind too and always listens to you patiently. Truly she is the best family doctor that my family has ever had.

Dr. S is fabulous! And her nurse is great! Very busy and the front desk is doing their very best.

I have no issues with the doctors themselves, however this clinic is poorly run. Long wait times when you have an appointment booked and near impossible to get a hold of. I’ve had a specialist attempt to reach my doctor for weeks to urgently prescribe me new medication with no luck. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a family physician as I will now be doing.

I've been seeing Dr. Mercy Akinsipe for over a year now and she has changed my life. If you are a woman and want to be taken seriously by medical professionals I can not recommend her enough. She actually listens and cares about her patients. I never feel rushed or dismissed and in general I have never had a bad experience at this clinic. The front end staff are always so nice to me and I'm in the clinic pretty frequently. Sometimes I do have to wait a little past time for my appointment but I can understand how a clinic can get busy and behind schedule. It's never an exorbitant amount of time to wait either. Plan for the extra time just in case and have some empathy for the staff. Overall, I am very grateful for Dr. Mercy and her team for taking such good care of me as a patient.

Dr Doherty is a great doctor. But every single time I have to go in I dread even going. With appointments I always wait 2 plus hours every time. One of the worst run practices I have had the misfortune of having as a place i visit for medical needs. Looks like I'm looking for a new doctor.

I've been seeing Dr. Mercy for nearly 2 years now. She is incredible! I've seen a couple of the other doctors and they've been just as good. As it is such as busy clinic, it can be hard to get through. When I can't get through by phone, I request an appointment by email.

No one is answering the phone I’ve been calling for 3 days since I’m out of my prescription and it was sent to the wrong pharmacy.

Don't go for a walk in! Over an hour wait for a simple ear flush and every person I talked to questioned me on how I knew there was wax in my ears. I have had several ear flushes in my life and this was the first that really hurt me and they used cold water which is wrong! Not a good experience at all!

I have had Dr Gill for my doctor for three years. She has provided me with excellent professional care and medical advice. I have also found the front staff very polite and accommodating. I recommend this clinic.
