Amazing selection of vegan and vegetarian products you can't get anywhere else. We loved the vegan bac'n, & dumplings, and can't wait to try more! The location is great and the owner was so helpful and friendly.

We travelled a couple hrs to check this little store out and it was more than worth the drive. Having a plant based diet can make it hard to get the variety of textures in consuming protein. Options galore and the lovely lady that helped us was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend shopping here for your healthier food choices.

This is the best place to go for vegan food. We usually get the Veggie potstickers and the Kung Pao Nuggest - I divide them up and it lasts forever. Prices are reasonable and Christina is so very helpful!

I went to Homey food for the first time yesterday and WOW! There were so many vegan items I haven’t been able to find anywhere else. I really appreciate the amazing variety of meat alternatives that are easy to prepare. Christina is so kind and deeply cares for the vegan community. I highly recommend stopping by!

Better prices and tones more products than Community Natural Foods as well where I used to stock up on vegan products before I heard about this store. I definitely will be back!!! This place is a passion project, and Christina is undoubtedly an artist. If there was ever a local business to support, THIS ONE IS IT!! Hot pot was amazing, and it only gets better as you add ingredients and allow the flavour to develop over the course of your meal. You start with a yummy soup and finish with a masterpiece. The owner was incredibly enthusiastic, showing pictures to my friend and I all of the recipes she was experimenting with, explaining her vision and approach. Her natural charisma and energy is contagious. The grocery store has a ton of variety and I was excited to take some goodies home. All will enjoy, even the meat eaters. I will be back!!!

Christina is super friendly and passionate about her food! Very impressed with the variety of frozen items to try. My mom doesn't have a lot of options in Calgary for Malaysian (and vegan), so I'm glad I found this place for her. I'm currently eating the "chicken" rice and I like it! Will be back to try other things :)

I'm so grateful to Christina for opening Homey Cafe. Living here, I hadn't had many opportunities to try Malaysian cuisine and eating here was nothing shy of incredible. Christina's passion, love and creative magic are in every bite. I felt less like I was eating in a restaurant & more like I was eating in the home of a good friend. Christine cooks from the heart, and you will see, smell, taste and feel that in each and every dish. Highly (!) recommend. Also -- I love that this place is Vegan but it's actually just an outta-this-world, awesome Malaysian cafe which also happens to be Vegan. I encourage anyone in the mood for this delicious cuisine -- regardless of diet -- to experience Homey Cafe's warm vibes and great food for themselves!

Vegan. Hotpot. We were so excited to try Homey Cafe and it did NOT disappoint. My first hotpot experience and everything Christina prepared was fresh and delicious, she puts her heart into everything she makes and her cafe reflects that: from personal touches to the most inviting atmosphere and the great conversation enjoyed. We can’t wait to go back to try the dim sum!! Thank you so much Christina, you are so very talented and definitely made us feel right at home.

I enjoyed our hot pot experience at Homey Cafe. I'm used to vegan hot pot being veggies and tofu, but when you come here, you get the full hot pot experience, but it's all vegan! Christina and her husband are very sweet and made all the accommodations for us and our 2 year old. I will definitely be sending my husband here on his way home from work every time we have a hot pot party to go to. It's so nice to have so many choices of "meats" and other vegan foods! It's a perfect blend of where you want to eat all the food and where you want to buy ALL the stuff!

Me and my friends love this place!! We got the vegan hot pot and it was sooo delicious. One of my friends who’s vegan LOVED it and us other two also loved the food even though we usually enjoy meat! You don’t feel sickly full at the end because the broth is light bur still tasteful. The owner is such a lovely cute lady too!! We loved her and her food. Definitely recommend vegan or not

I checked out Homey Cafe with friends for Hot Pot on a Sunday evening. Christina has created a lovely space that feels comfortable and... homey. The hot pot spread came with a variety of delicious food - all vegan, the service was also excellent. I felt like the experience at Homey Cafe is just different than any other restaurant I've been to recently as Christina prefers to tailor the food to your needs and told me herself that she prefers to avoid being confined by a menu. I really appreciated her desire to provide my friends and I a special experience. She clearly loves feeding others and all the food served was beautifully presented and delicious. Looking forward to my next visit for Dim Sum!

Today’s visit was a delight; our quest for vegan hot pot led us to this gem (coming from Red Deer), and it exceeded all expectations! A solid 10/10, I can’t recommend this place enough. Even us, the majority omnivores in the group (4 out of 5), are eager to become regulars. The flavors were beyond words; each bite was an experience in deliciousness. Meeting the owner, Christina, added a personal touch. She’s genuinely the nicest person, and her passion for the food is evident. I’m thrilled to consider myself a customer for life. As someone who does not eat vegan, the hotpot was incredibly refreshing and flavourful! The broth is delicious, as well as the other side dishes. The owner is very sweet and passionate about her food. Will definitely come again.

Had such a wonderful time trying vegan Mexican food here today! We were lucky to stumble upon a special lunch event today with delicious and authentic arroz a la tumbada and ceviche tostadas cooked by Tania!! Christina was super friendly and passionate about health vegan eating and it was lovely chatting with her! I look forward to their future food events, and they have a really well stocked pantry of vegan/vegetarian items for daily cooking that's worth checking out!

Wow. We just went for the first time to check out Homey Foods and had the pleasure of meeting Christina. What a vision she has for sharing vegan food for Calgary. I am so excited to see the foods she has there already and she hasn’t even unpacked everything yet. Christina was so welcoming, so knowledgeable in her products and so passionate about how good vegan food is. Even if you aren’t vegan you need to go check out Homey Foods! We went for one item and ended up spending $100. Won’t be the last time I go shopping at my new favorite vegan grocer. Support local and spend some time talking with Christina. Great way to spend part of your day.

I love shopping here! There’s so much variety to products and Christina is always so fun to chat with. I even found vegan salmon and tuna!! I didn’t even know those could exist. We don’t have a lot of vegan Asian food options in Calgary (like in Vancouver) so I’m glad there’s a new location opening too!

When I went in the first time, I was greeted in such a friendly manner, and the wonderful person working introduced me to many things that would be great in my freezer/pantry. This store has a surprising number of choices of vegetarian and vegan foods. There is seafood, chicken, beef, pork, large amounts of vegan jerky, burgers, chicken breast, wheat protein, soy protein. There are also dried seaweed, vegan and vegetarian noodles, different curry sauces, rice mixes, and more. She has close to 400 different products. These are all in freezers and some are in dry packaging on the shelves. Everything is nicely packaged. The owners name is Christina, she is extremely friendly, and is completely at ease with sitting down and chatting with people. She orders food from Malaysia and Taiwan, as well as some from Toronto and Vancouver.

I went in today for the first time after checking out the owners products online and I have to say. She was incredibly welcoming and an absolute delight! I found exactly what I was looking for and she offered me so many more goodies that I can't wait to try. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to become vegetarian/vegan or already is to come here!!
