One of the best pools in Calgary and surrounding area. My daughter and her friends love this place. They recently changed the hours to Friday and Saturday, but always an exceptional experience.

Is this place a waterpark, art gallery, or a much needed oasis in the cold Calgary winters? It's all three guarenteed. From friendly, helpful staff to the several amenities, a person could find several things they are looking for including adventure. This is exactly what my friend and I were seeking. We came here not for the library but for the waterpark. After we got ready for our swim, we decided to climb the highest tower to ride the thunder. The work of climbing is well rewarded with several twists, turns, tunnels, and the giant splash at the end. We rode this baby at least six times. The other slide however, we rode eight times. It was our favorite because we didn't have to climb so high and it was faster than the other one. We spent hours in that wave pool, we couldn't surf the waves but that wasn't for a lack of trying on one of those floating toys. For the most part we just swam to them and floated along on them. Who could say no to a wild wave ride. A time for rest is at the hot tub. It looks like a maze at first but never-the-less, relaxation is the name of the game. A good place to warm up and chat with some cute guys in swimming trunks at least. For a day out when you are tired of the harsh winters. Village Square Leisure center has what you need. And for only $13.50, why not stay for a while?

The best swimming pool 🏊‍♀️. The water is warm and with a lots of to do. It has gorgeous art on the walls, this place has swimming lessons for people as well which can be very helpful if you can’t swim or you want your kid to learn swimming. I would highly recommend 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

village square shops is a large zone close to McDonalds and also it is located near one of the most popular public library locations, and you will find that within a few minutes distance from other ammenities like the gigantic-super fun leisure center across the shops. The mall is characterized by large open dining areas and quite busy shopping and one stop dining food corridors. Resembles a shopping indoor mall in Banff. Very nice and 100 % safe retail and shopping areas for alm of your shopping needs. One stop for all folks of all ages and sizes. Post-office, convenience and a lotto center makes it very simple to find this mall very conpelling. Mobile and tech support are also within reach and easy to find along with physiotherapy and pharmacy experts. Chiropractic services make this place a unique and distinctive place to shop and include in all of your needs and daytime hours.

Been coming here all my life and it has always been the best pool in the city! It gets crowded on weekends and sometimes there's a line to get inside, but it's worth waiting. The slides are epic, and I'm pretty sure they raise the water pressure on the weekends. There are two slides, and both are worth trying. I actually enjoy the small slide better. The taller slide is very long and fun, but the stairs get impossible as time goes on. The wave pool is great and so is the deep pool. The workers here are very nice and helpful. Make sure to bring a loonie for the locker! Don't worry, you get it back.

Most times we come here it's really great and we feel safe swimming and using the amenities here. Sometimes everything isn't open, and that can create longer wait times for the water slides...however it's fairly clean, and well kept at this leisure center. They also have a library and a mini restaurant inside. Gymnasium, and mini indoor play area for toddlers.

Good place and is beautifully laid out and has gorgeous art on the walls, this place has/had swimming lessons for people as well which can be very helpful if you struggle or you want your kid to learn swimming. I've been going to this place for years (ever since I was around 3) and I've never really had a complaint. They have a weight room, preschool program, dance classes, and a lot more. (Do note some of the things I've listed may be limited due to covid)

Fun place. I thought it was fun but the waves were pretty strong. So be careful with little children.

It’s great fun for the family. There’s slides for the brave and not so brave. The wave pool itself can keep you entertained and the hot tub is just delightful. There’s individual rooms that you can book for birthday parties where the kids can swim first and then enjoy pizza and cake after. This will lace gets really crowded which may affect the experience so go early. Highly recommended.

It is a good place for all to pass your time there by reading books in the library or doing workouts, but the most important point for newcomers is that it is a one stopbshop, where you can get the library card, recreation pass and calgary transit pass for low income families in one compound. Sometimes, there are medical camps organised by those offices that deal in newcomers' issues.

Loved going to this pool when I was a kid. Now that we have kids we are excited to bring our kids here too. After the entire pool area is being renovated while most kids are in school. The official plan of the contractors started the renovation and repairs in September.

To see the price almost double for a single day pass even though the pool is closed seems odd. Before this they would give a discount if the pool was closed(which most of the time it would be). The price now is even higher than when the pool was OPEN in the past. Also staff need to be trained to provide correct info to the now overpaying customers(as I asked if the courts were being used on one side and they said it was booked). We were then there for 3 hours and the half that was booked was still empty and not used when we left…

Water centre: The pool with waves generation is very cool. It has variable depths and thus good for all ages. However, the entire place needs renovation: dirty and poorly kept change rooms, broken and dirty lockers, defective showers, broken/cracked tiles, signs of rust here and there. The floor everywhere is super slippery, walk slowly and with caution, or make sure you wear proper water shoes, which is also good protection against fungus as this place doesn't impress by good housekeeping/ hygiene. Last but not least, need to mention a pee smell in the alleyway between change rooms and the pool area, disgusting.

Every time we try and go for a swim, something happens. 3 days ago, a kid pulled the fire alarm, and everyone was evacuated. Today, we showed up, and there was a medi al emergency, so the pool was closed for the rest of the day. (Not the pools fault) it's a large pool with plenty for the family to enjoy. A large climbing center for the kids, hot tub, 2 slides, wave pool and tube rentals! The change rooms are large and the lifeguards are great. Would definitely recommend for a family or group of kids

You have to wait in line for EVERYTHING, INCLUDING the hot tub, even when there is still plenty of room in the hot tub! The pool had dirty bandaids floating around in it, there was soggy crackers in the change room on the floor (that or it was barf, but still looked pretty nasty). It's just all around dirty and not worth the money!

Great pool but don’t go when it’s busy because they are soooo brutally slow to get passes at customer service. Totally disorganized. I waited 30 minutes in line with like only a dozen people in front of me. I had a 3 year old, it was not fun.

This place can be fun and educational at the same time. The library has some really amazing resources for anyone to use like books, board games and computers etc. It also has a swimming pool area which is cool and so much fun. I personally love that most of all. Moreover, they have a food corner as well and a lot more. I recommend going there and exploring!

We went to the pool, the pool was pretty great. Very unique and fun! There was a crazy slide that like wrapped around the building. That one was fun but the line was long and didn’t go very fast. Other than that and the high chlorine concentration, I would give 4.5 if I could.

It was a great time. Was surprised it was very quiet. By the time we left the pool at 9 pm. There was only 3 other people how cool

Great place to do work out in the gym. There's more than enough equipment for different types of exercises. But there's only 2 days of pool operating which is Friday and Saturday. Times the parking r so full n quite sure it's pretty busy inside the pool.

Pool staff are horrible, was told the media policy by one staff member and was told as long as we don't take pictures with others in the background then it was fine. 15 minutes later we were told by another staff member that we couldn't take pictures at all, I looked around and there were people taking photos on their phones everywhere (along with someone taking a video of the kiddie pool) and no one was saying anything. I checked the rules signs and every single one was different but all said that photos of your own group are fine. Pool itself is pretty cool though.

A great facility especially with the wave pool! Me and my family enjoy it a lot. It's also right next to a high school so I'd imagine a lot of students go here and chill out during their spare time. Love the waterslides too. A great place overall!

My Son, Nephew and I had a great time swimming and playing in the water. It's just kind of refreshing to do an activity that feels normal again. The facility is great and a lot of fun. I only wish two things. The hot tub needs to be warmer or have part of it warmer. I would like to see the pool open more than two days a week again. Funny it's Spring Break and the Management is still sticking to two days a week during this time. Seems like they could make more money if they opened at least a high volume times like this at least.

Great place to swim for all ages! Little kitty pool for the babies/toddlers! Wave pool (comes and goes and always gives warning) different slides, hot tub, a dive tank and a water playground area! Always check website or call ahead to make sure everything is open!

First time going in the evening on a Friday night, we swam from 6-9pm....we usually go here during the day but it was still so fun...there were lots of teens on dates...Lol....I think it was a teen night... and of course not so many little ones there. The hot tub was not so hot...its usually warmer in temp but still enjoyable...Will definitely be back!!!! Love the wave pool!!!!

4 stars are earned because of the staff! We showed up on Nov 12, not realizing how busy it would be because of the school holiday. The staff checking vax status was super friendly and welcoming. Then the staff who sold us our passes was also friendly and welcoming. The facility was declared to be at capacity while we were purchasing, so we were sent over to wait in another line. While waiting for an hour, I observed many impatient people asking security staff what was going on. They handled the repeated requests with kindness and patience. Finally, my kids had enough waiting so I walked up to the window to ask what the status was. This lady too was really helpful and informative, telling us that staffing problems meant only 20 people would get in when it did finally open. We were #30 in line so we left. When things are running, this is a nice place to go. I was disappointed on our most recent visit: a slide was shut, the dive tank was closed, and the Safari Zone was closed for maintenance. NONE of these things were listed on the website.
