My husband and I have been Hudson's Bay Optical - Market Mall customers for many years. This time, in April 2023, Amber helped us with our new prescription glasses. She was very helpful and knowledgeable while explaining the differences in lens features. Amber made an effort to find the best options for our specific prescriptions and was very patient to look for many different styles to find the most suitable frame for my husband. She was honest and pleasant and genuinely wanted us to be happy with our glasses.

Alicia & Amber were both very kind and great to work with. After trying pretty much every other optics place in the mall I can say they were by far the most helpful and knowledgeable, whereas other stores were trying to push technologies and higher margin items to benefit the business instead of what was best for the customer. Alicia showed me all the options out there and helped me understand and make a properly informed decision without any of the fluff. Definitely would return for my next pair of specs

I’ve been having trouble seeing for about a year now, I went for an exam in Cochrane and was prescribed progressives. I got them and could barely drive. I went back and the Dr was confident in my Rx, but suggested to get the lenses remade without the progressives. I did that and still couldn’t see. As I was waiting for a online package at the Bay (by the optical) I was talking to the manager there about my eye troubles. She suggested I see their Dr. So I booked in, he spent time listening to my issues and explained what could be the problem. He backed my Rx from -6.50 to -5.75 without adding progressives and I got them remade. I can see now! It’s crazy, I didn’t think changing my prescription to weaker one was what I needed. No more blurred vision far or near, or the anxiety the previous Rx was causing me.

Alicia was wonderful! She helped me choose frames, gave me great advice about buying and got me the sale price on my lenses and glasses - I couldn't have gotten them anywhere else. She spent a lot of time with me and her honesty was so appreciated! I would recommend Alicia at the Market Mall Hudson's Bay Optical store!

I would recommend Hudson’s Bay Optical to anyone who has family/friends in a care facility. Our daughter lives in a facility and we live 61/2 hours away, when looking for an optometrist I called many clinics who could not see her because she is in a wheelchair and unless she could physically be transferred to the optical chair they could not see her. When I call Hudson’s Bay Optical the manager Alicia ensured me there was no problem with her staying in her wheelchair. When we arrived for our appointment we were met by Alicia who assisted our daughter in selecting two pair of glasses and the Doctor was equally accommodating. The fact that we live so far away and would not be back for some weeks Alicia told us she would deliver the glasses to our daughter at her care facility which she did. We have been searching for months to find an optometrist who could see her and then to have her glasses deliver and fitted at her care facility was an exceptional service. We recommend to anyone who is facing challenges to arrange appointments at Hudson’s Bay Optical, just speak to Alicia. We would like to extended our greatest appreciation to Alicia for the service she provided to our daughter and the peace of mind we felt because of her and the standard of care the clinic provides to persons with challenges. I went into the Bay to get my second pair of glasses (which I'd bought there previously as well) tinted into sunglasses. Amber was very helpful and took the time to explain that process and also pointed out that my lenses should be updated based on my new prescription numbers. Amber helped me choose great frames for sunglasses and glasses. She has a great sense of what will suit and chose some frames for me to try within my price range. Amber took the time to make sure that I was satisfied with the choices, and with the measurements and coatings for the lenses again, within my price range. She also let me know that they had a "Buy one Get one" special on which I was not aware of. When I picked up my glasses, Alisha helped me and made sure that they fit properly and was very helpful. Great service from the "A Team". Thank you!!

I Was looking for new glasses at the Bay Optical Market Mall and there were two very helpful and extremely friendly staff by the name of Alicia who is the manager and Amber the other sales associate. I find it difficult to find helpful staff no matter where you go these days because it seems like the personal aspect is lacking now but these two went above and beyond.
