I found this boutique on google a few months ago and have already visited a few times since then. I love the shop, lots of healthy plants at very reasonable price. Staff are nice and knowledgeable and they find time to share plant care tips whenever they can. Lastly, Meaghan is an incredibly hardworking business owner, she’s always finding new ideas and engaging on social media sharing tips and fun plant things - really doing a great job building the brand.

I had my wedding bouquets, boutonniere's and table flowers all done by Meghan at The Botanist in October 2022. She created the most beautiful arrangements I could have ever imagined! I didn't have too much of a vision, I knew I wanted soft, fall colors but not much more than that. Meghan is a creative artist and she really turned my bouquet (and all of the flowers) into a work of art. It was unique and we received so many compliments on all of the arrangements. We couldn't sing their praise more. This is also a great shop for all your household plant needs, and things you never knew you needed. Thanks again!!!

Great locally owned small business. If you're a plant lover, or are interested In learning more about keeping plants alive. IE. Myself 😬. You need to go check this store out. Meaghan is incredibly knowledgeable and will give you tips and tricks on how to maintain all the beautiful plants you walk away with. Plus she also carries locally crafted artisan products. Really just a cool store to browse through.

I love, love, love this little gem just off Edmonton Trail in Calgary. The owner and staff are hands down the most welcoming and friendly group I've ever met. Can I just live in a corner of this store? Excellent choice of plants and the owner will be upfront and tell you exactly what to expect with the type of plant you're purchasing. They also carry unique gifts, cards, artwork and a variety of decorative pots. Walk around in the magic of this lovely little place and support local YYC business owners!

I found the Botanist by accident, turns out not to be an accident! I ordered and received 3 plants via delivery. All beautiful, in good shape and the delivery packaging was amazing! I cannot wait to expand! The team is amazing, very accommodating, the plants are healthy and will have a long happy life. Meaghan and team, you now have a loyal customer! The Botanist Calgary deserves 6 stars if was possible. I had come to Meaghan with the impossible plight to find a magnificent Ficus bonsai (like one my mom loved in the UK). Wow! Meaghan certainly outdid herself with this project. She arranged the (fresh) potting with gorgeous moss with crystal detailing stones in a perfect modern elegant plantar that fit the bonsai perfectly. She even took the 100th extra step and hand wrote a personalized birthday card for my mom (with a wax sealed enveloped *talk about a chef’s kiss moment*). The customer service I got was impeccable. Meaghan was so professional, proactive in sending pictures every step of the way, and had such a great eye for detail. Botanist Calgary Hand delivered it to my mom in an accurate narrow time window on her birthday, with the upmost care and were so pleasant to my mom. Even then “how to care for” directions were very pretty. The bonsai was lush and healthy on arrival. I forgot to mention, we arranged all this with me in the UK and over her website messaging service (talk about efficient). I am so grateful to Meaghan and the Botanist Calgary team, thanks to you, you have my mom smiling for days. Thank you. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Wow! So many amazing hard to find plants! Wonderful service. A break from the real world. Dried arrangements, beautiful fresh arrangements, cards, gifts. A gem in the inner city.

Super cute plant store with unique whimsical gifts, plants and supplies with a trendy and warm vibe. The two ladies who work there are also very knowledgeable and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I came here twice to pickup my online orders - under $5 plants to fill in spaces on my window sill. The staff is genuinely cheerful and friendly. The variety available in store is magical and I love the speedy service as well (when I just want to pop in and go). My plants are thriving months later, despite the rough ride home the first day 😅 Great pricing for what I want to test out (not a perfect plant mom). Highly recommended and will return oh so many times.

A quaint little gem of a plant/floral shop. Lots of neat and quirky plants, succulents, and seeds too. The staff is super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Try it, you'll like it!

You cannot find friendlier or helpful customer service! There are also store Chihuahuas that enthusiastically greet you! (Your pets are also welcome!) This year, I found my Amyrillis' here. They turned out extra fancy! Also my first Carnivorous plant (Drocera capensis alba), and a Golden Fiddle Philodendron. +++Recommend for all levels of Plant Enthusiasts!

I’ve been meaning to comment on the service we received at this store. My husband and I went back in September looking for garlic bulbs. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by the staff and the owner. They were so helpful, polite and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place in a heart beat. The staff made it easy for us to become long time customers. Thank you for the great service.

Really cute little store and they make the most of the size. Service was friendly and their is a decent plant selection. Would love to see more variety as there is a lot of the same plants in different sizes. Reasonably priced.

The energy and peace that I feel when I walk through the door into this garden of eden is so beautiful. I could just sit in the chair and breathe in the atmosphere. I also love listening to Meaghan, the owner, help plant parents answer questions about watering, location, potting, she is a wealth of information. Let’s not forget the puppies!! Simply the best plants spot in Calgary! They have been helping me so much with learning about gardening, and all the folks that work there are incredibly amazing! Such a lovely spot, full of love and care. I would say that visiting The Botanist is a whole experience!

This has got to be hands down my favourite plant store in Calgary now. My friend was looking for a plant and I searched it up and found The Botanist and since it was on my way home today I decided to stop by to get it for her. The stores owner Megan was extremely knowledgable and kind, the store is filled with plants of all different kinds (some rare ones and a few orchids as well) and feels warm and welcoming. I wasn’t planning on getting anything for myself but ended up getting quite a bit! It’s obvious that Megan cares deeply about sustainability and is extremely knowledgeable about the plants in her care as well as general good practices of plant care. Would 100% recommend this store. Park beside the store or in the alley as long as you’re not blocking anything.

Such a great little plant shop! I got a string of hearts from here a few weeks ago and it’s already flowering! Hard not to buy all the plants when you’re there 😅 Will for sure be back when I inevitably feel the urge to add to my plant collection!

I'm in love with this shop! The workers there are so sweet and helpful. Plants are in excellent condition - you can tell they truly care about them. There's so many tropical varieties as well as seeds! It feels very welcoming and definitely one of my favourite plant shops in Calgary
