👍👍 I had such a great time at the Chicago Fireboat tour. The tour guide was wonderful, funny and very knowledgeable about the history and architecture of the city. The rest of the staff were wonderful as well. They have a bar where you can buy drinks and snacks during the tour. This experience is great... I had such a great time at the Chicago Fireboat tour. The tour guide was wonderful, funny and very knowledgeable about the history and architecture of the city. My wife and I went with our adult kids on the Phase Three Brewing Brew Cruise offered on Thursday nights. The crew is tight and has safety together, making for a fun time. The views from the river are awesome! If you follow good beer, then you know Phase Three. They bring their best on board! Great thing to do on a summer night!

Did the 'Sunset Cruise' tour twice and loved it both times! Pace is slow, music is great, indoor & outdoor seating options available, nice selection of bar beverages (both alcoholic & non), and overall great sightseeing on the Lake! 1.5 hours is the perfect amount of time. For the price, I don't think you can beat the experience. Highly recommend!

Nothing better than an historic boat run by Navy veterans with a sense of humor and great Chicago back story. In the 90 minute tour, we went out onto the Lake, through the locks, up the river and on the the north branch. It was a spectacular day. The boat has restrooms, bar with alcohol and not, shaded seating and not. And of course Chicago in your sights. I've been on the other boats and love the small size of this tour. They all have docents, all tell pretty much the same stories give or take. I had not gone to the north branch by boat, good opportunity. Nothing like the Chicago architecture along the river and boats, parks and museums along the lake. Just book it before the summer ends!

As an emt student and Chicago native I felt like coming here was a must! And I'm so glad I did! I missed my first scheduled tour....but they were really accommodating with getting us rescheduled. The staff was really friendly and the tour was very informative. This was a boat that always stood out to me on Chicago's lake/river. There's history on this boat! It's a must go/see.

We had an awesome tour with the crew and the tour guides Austin & Cliff (second names "Ernie & Bert", like Austin told us for unlikely recommendations 😉) and I can tell everybody to take this tour to explore the Chicago River. With the Fireboat-Tour you have a great sight on the city, which I haven't had a few years ago taking another architecture cruise and you will have lots of fun. Drinks at the bar are good & ice-cold (cards are accepted if you're out of cash), very friendly team with always a great story behind scenes. We will for sure come back the next time and enjoy this great tour. THANK YOU!

The hidden gem of Chicago architecture boat tours! I’ve been on 2 of the other river boat tours and this is by far the most entertaining and most unique historical experience. My son has Autism and I was initially concerned about his attention span for a 90+ min tour; However, every crew member was very patient with his questions and desire to roam - even taking the time to have him help participate in onboard activities. We also loved how the owner of the boat was on board, working right along with his crew and chatting with passengers -genuinely personable. Our family left all smiles!

Very cool tour. Pictures give it no justice. Ray and the crew including Natalie and ed are very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. This boat offers a piece of floating history with articles to view inside the boat. They also offer private event style tours. Strongly recommend this tour. Thanks for the experience!

We took the St. Patrick’s day boat tour and not only did we get a close up view of the dyeing of the river, the architectural tour was included(and great). We went when it was super cold so wear clothes/gloves/lap blanket for the weather. The staff were super nice and regularly checked in with everyone if they were doing ok. They do tours in the summer for fireworks! Easy location to get a ride share and a quick walk to the boat where they check you in electronically. Your tour begins and ends at the same location you started.

We booked this tour last minute to fill some time but it ended up being one of my favorite things the entire trip. It was easy to find, the boat had great seating and old firefighting gear/pictures. Austin was an amazing tour guide filled with so much cool information. Not only do you get to see the river but you also get to see the skyline from Lake Michigan and the navy pier. You get to learn all about the architecture, the history of chicago, and behind the scenes fire stories. My favorite part was also going through the chicago harbor lock and learning about its purpose. 10/10 would recommend this tour for anyone looking to have a great time and learn some history in the funnest way possible.

Absolutely loved this tour! The staff was welcoming and open to questions. Craig did an excellent job of explaining the history of different buildings throughout our trip down the river. I especially loved all his fun side facts he would throw in. My only note was that I would love to know more about the fire boat itself but I kind of geek out over that stuff and it’s specifically an architectural tour.

We had a fabulous time with a few friends from our building on Chicago Fire boat tour this week. The narrator was friendly & wonderful . He shared a wealth of very interesting information about the architecture of our city, the lake and the locks. I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Everything you want in a boat tour. Drinks, fun, shade, and a great crew. The tour was about 90 minutes in length which was perfect. Austin was a great guide and gave a lot of interesting insights in a fun way. I would highly recommend paying them a visit!

Definitely an experience of a lifetime. My first time cruising chicago, my home, and I did good to choose this crew. Not only did I miss my boat due to personal baby traffic (aka my new born) but the beautiful lady called me next day and rebooked me for a sunset cruise which definitely helped us more! Thank you team! Can’t wait to come with my sisters for the firework cruise! P.S new moms… this is definitely something you need to get you and baby out of the house. Great bathrooms, clean, and a beautiful back deck that gives you shade from the sun.

I now tell anyone visiting Chicago that, at bare minimum, they must take this tour! This tour summarizes all views and history of this incredible city. I especially enjoyed Austin speaking throughout the tour. Austin is professional, friendly, and very, very knowledgeable. I sincerely had a wonderful time!

Super unique tour! You get to ride an actual piece of history. This tour took us on the lake, past Navy Pier, through the lock's, and down the River. What an amazing ride! And the tour guide was so full of knowledge that I need to make another trip back so I can absorb all of the wonderful history he was sharing with us. I definitely recommend this tour. Also, it is a veteran owned business!

This is a hidden gem! We did the historical and architectural tour and we couldn't be any happier. First, you're riding in a beautiful piece of Chicago's history. The boat is small (compared to the others available), so you have a more intimate experience. The tour itself is very educational, full of interesting facts and stories. The staff is amazing. You'll enjoy it!

Great experience for my family. Enjoyed it all. Very enthusiastic presenter who had knowledge and passion about the history of Chicago, naval facility, parks, etc. We enjoyed this smaller vessel since it was less crowded than the other competitors. It is a historical vessel so it doesn’t have anything fancy. Very simplistic with folding chairs, tables, serving bar, etc. They make it work!

I found this through Groupon and I must say it was one of the BEST boat rides to take in Chicago with kids. It beats the Architectural tours because of the small experience and the breadth of opportunities to learn more history of Chicago. The boat itself was a very important part of that history. Our grandkids enjoyed it and seemed to be truly engaged with the narrative.

The tour itself and the staff was very nice. 5 star experience. The only annoying thing was that there were some people on the boat constantly standing in front of me and they didn’t care about me sitting behind them. Maybe the staff can ask people to not stand in front of seating places at the beginning of the tour?

This was a great tour! Believe me, I’m a local who has been on multiple. All staff was friendly. The guide (Austin) was very funny and had a lot of interesting information about the history and architecture of Chicago and it’s buildings that I’ve never heard before. The tour goes on both the river and lake. Plus, there’s a bar with snacks. Important to note: if you’re a firefighter or retired firefighter bring your firefighter ID and some badges. Each badge is worth $7 drink credit at the bar and having your Id also gives you a discount on something but I forgot exactly what it is. Sorry guys. Enjoy!!

What a way to experience Chicago history! The day was beautiful, the sights were stunning, and the crew was welcoming. I wish the tour went along the south branch of the river, but with the Groupon discount and only 10 passengers, I couldn't ask for a better tour.

This tour was fantastic! The education of architecture, stories and personality of the captain were on point. It was just the right combination of lake and river. With all of the available options, we were delighted with our smaller more intimate choice.

Amazing service from when I called to make a reservation to the entire crew on the boat. Loved the explaination of the buildings and their history, and even the dad jokes along the way. Overall a great experience, my favorite part of our trip to Chicago
