Charmless hotel. Cold, impersonal, inconvenient. The photos make it look sleek or modern but its actually just overly sanitized and bleak. The hotel could have been run by robots for how unhelpful and impersonal the staff was. There's no elevator. We were on the top floor and there were beams that we kept hitting our heads on across our ceiling. The bathrooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. There is a delicious bakery next door.

This place is horrible. It is super noisy. They give you a awful room then ask for more money if you want to change your room to anything less noisy, which is not that much better. Typical bait and switch, but with a twist since the other rooms aren't any better. The hot water runs out after one person showers, so no showering on the same days if there are two of you. The street cars go early in the morning and the room shakes, waking you up. The rooms aren't clean and the staff aren't as helpful. It is a no for sure. We have been traveling in Portugal for 3 weeks now and stayed in so many amazing places, had no issue with any other hotels. This place is a definite no

Firstly, it’s false advertised as being a 3 stars hotel, as per the establishment’s manager (Alexandra) this is NOT a 3 stars hotel so they don’t have to offer the minimum of service that 3 star hotels have to offer. We paid for a twin room, for 2 nights, at a falsely advertised 3 stars hotel. Silly of me expecting to get a clean room with a functional shower. As per the pictures I took, the walls were mouldy and the room was very damp. The shower drain was clogged so we couldn’t have a proper shower. When I informed the reception, the receptionist, Isabel (the brunette) moved us to an apartment to stay overnight as a temporary solution, and I thank her for that, she is the only reasonable person with a sense of what hospitality industry means. The next morning the other receptionist - Isabella (the blonde) made a big fuss saying that the room is perfectly fine and that the shower has been fixed and that we should immediately move our bags at 8:30 am. She also made it clear that I should be thankful that I got to stay for free in one of the apartments, which wasn’t for free, because I paid for a clean functional room, which I didn’t get to start with. Isabella’s attitude was even worse than the state of the room. She happily ruined our day. It was useless for me to complain about the poor conditions of the room, to her and also her manager (Alexandra) because their attitude was awful, extremely rude. I ended up paying an extra 48 euros for a so called upgrade just because I wanted a clean room without damp and mouldy walls and an apartment was the only room available. We’ve spent 2 nights there, we paid 280 euros, we moved our bags up and down the stairs and kept them in the boiler room (that is where the store your luggage) because we had to move 3 times. They are falsely advertising the rooms and the apartments, and when you want to address the issue, they treat you like you are a freeloader. After reading their bad reviews, I can see that this is common practice for this so called hotel, and absolutely no one takes any actions. It is a rip off and the service they offer is absolutely disgusting! After seeing the mouldy walls, there was no surprise that I had to carry the hair dryer, the iron and the ironing board up and down the stairs, because as the manager says proudly “this is not a 3 stars hotel and we are not responsible to offer you a good service”. I wish I would’ve read the bad reviews before checking in.

Brilliant room, staff were really friendly on check in and location was perfect to explore Lisbon. Not noisy at all but close to everything

Location very hilly but this is the old town Alfama. No hairdryer in the room, got one from the reception but why is there never a mirror near the plug socket. No bath mat and bath slippy, mat is definitively needed. I think this place was overpriced.

I absolutely loved this place and was so lucky to find it last minute. I stayed in 204 which is an apartment room I think? It has a gorgeous view of the street and large bay windows you can open to let in the fresh air. There is no AC but the windows remedy this issue. All concierge staff was incredibly kind and helpful and let me stow my bag prior to check in. The rooms were tidy and well stocked with towels. The bed is 2 doubles pushed together but I’m used to sleeping on a full so I slept on one side anyway. The sound from the train car didn’t bother me, I travel with ear plugs and a sleep mask. The neighborhood is very cute, there are 3 restaurants steps away from the location, and a corner store just up the street as well. There is a darling coffee shop immediately next door. I would 100% stay here again. I left my AirPods behind even and they called to tell me! I’ve never had any hotel do that for me. 10/10 for this place. Also, per the outlet issue-my room at least had an extension cord and so I just used that and curled my hair in the mirror by the window.

This hotel is well located in the Center of Alfama. The famous yellow tram 28 is passing in front of the place, which is quite cool and the bus stop is very close. It’s also next door to a very nice coffee shop Copenhagen Coffee Lab where you can have a very nice breakfast and coffee. Staff was friendly and provided us with map and information . Room was clean and spacious and had a little fridge. We were given an attic room on the top floor so we bumped our head a few times when we went the fridge area. I would not recommend tall people to this suite.

The location is perfect if you want to stay in alfama, the rooms are neat & clean though the beds are a little uncomfortable. The hotel ambience is quiet dingy & no lift as well. Tram keeps passing by & some kind of noise in the night from the streets. Overall it was a decent stay.

Great location and the staff are super helpful. The rooms are decent (a little worn down) and the bed is quite firm. The one downside is that the tram runs down the street in front of the hotel and goes by frequently and is quite loud.

Rooms are clean and location is unbeatable. No “wow” features here but it’s a great value for a comfortable room in the heart of alfama. Parking is a pain but it’s Lisbon.. didn’t expect it to be easy. The Copenhagen cafe next door is a superb spot for morning breakfast/coffee. Staff were all friendly and even helped carry bags up to our room

Since the moment I booked my hotel, the correspondence with the front desk has been immediate, efficient and extremely polite. Alexandra, Carina and Isabela are an absolute delight to talk to. They provide all the info needed to make you Lisbon visit a memorable one. We stayed in a superior room facing the street and, yes, the tram goes by until about midnight and resumes at 6:30 but it was never an issue for us. It is part of the Alfama charm!!! A good pair is silicone earplugs does the job. The room is exactly as in the pictures ! Spacious and with all needed amenities. I would not hesitate coming back to this property.

Really nice and comfortable, we reserved a room with two bedroom and a garden it was very clean and there were everything we need. All the girls from reception were very nice, we had a great time there, highly recommended.

Great location, walking distance to many places even though you have to climb up some time but well welcome to Lisbon. Trams 12 and 28 pass in front of the hotel so good opportunity to take the tram early in the morning.

This hotel was great as far as location but keep in mind its steep winding sidewalks. If I was to rate on front desk service it would be a five star. They were absolutely fabulous. One was particularly helpful with restaurants and directions. She recommended The Chapiteau which had authentic Portuguese food. The only thing I would mention is that they don’t have ironing boards and irons in the room and none were available and you need to borrow a blow dryer. They only give shampoo and no conditioner. But honestly I loved the charm of Alfama and there is a tram just outside the door. The tram is a must to experience and view the city.

Room was clean and comfortable. But the noise! I was on third floor street side. I had to open window to keep room cool which meant that I had the people and the trams in the room with me…or so it seemed. I would stay there again but only if I got a room away from the street.

Cool Hotel with 24h reception. We had a lovely room which wasn't noisy at all (you do hear when someone is talking loudly in the corridor but no more than usual). Room was always clean and the staff was nice and helpful. The location was great and the room was pretty big. We really enjoyed our stay!
