I don’t know if this is an accurate image of Mr. Harvard because I never saw him in real life, but it’s a nice looking statue. He seems comfortable in his seat. There are steps that you can sit on next to Mr. Harvard and enjoy some snacks. It’s not as comfortable as his seat though, don’t get your hopes up.

Don’t touch the foot, freshmen pee on it. Harvard or not, it’s still college.

The John Harvard statue is most certainly the most photographed at the University. You will even see crowds waiting for their chance to stand in front of the statue. It is easy to find located just inside the gates to the Harvard Yard. The campus is beautiful so you may want to expand your walking tour to see some of the other sites including a very impressive library where you may be able to determine who John Harvard actual was or was not.

After leaving Harvard in 1999, I still make it to Harvard to see the John Harvard statue at least once a year now that I live in Manhattan. By the way, the John Harvard statue is also nicknamed the “Statue of the Three Lies.”

It felt good to stand next to John Harvard's statue in the middle of campus and take a picture. It was very clean for being an outdoor statue.

A lot of people come here and pose for a photo, specially they touch John Harvard's feet. So much so that the left foot has whitened up from its original color.

"It's a tradition for tourists to touch the foot of John Harvard's statue for good luck. A lesser known tradition is that Harvard students are supposed to pee on that foot before they graduate."

If you like quirky American history, stop by this statue and learn about its three lies. The statue's toe is polished from so many passersby touching it for good luck. Give it a touch yourself and become part of Harvard's history.

The bronze statue honors clergyman John Harvard (1607–1638), who made a deathbed bequest to the school of £780 and‍ ‌his 400-volume scholar's library. It is said that if you touch the left foot of the statue, you will have good luck.

This place has become a tourist destination . So parking is almost next to impossible during the day. Take the bus or train, drops you almost next to the statue.

Free to look at it! But a tour will give you some interesting insights. (Take hand sanitiser, lots of folk touch that foot .... and rumour has it that students go wee wee on it !🤣🤣

Not many people believe this statue to be John Harvard - ASK A LOCAL OR A TOUR GUIDE! There are no known photos of John Harvard to exist so how did they create a status of him, you ask?! It's an interesting story about the statue - ASK! YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!

I think in general the MIT is more interesting since it is more opened to general public and you can visit many places. I wished the same happened with Harvard. Still it’s a beautiful place and you should visit it if you’re around

Great place to visit. I wish there was a map of the buildings to find the statue faster or maybe there is one but I didn't see it. But I asked the ground keeping workers and found the statue fast.
