😠 DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! The paint around the pool is all peeling off. Water leaks from the top of the pool area. The bathroom has brown stuff around the bottom of the toilet and also in the corner of the floor in the bathroom. Also, around the tub. The couch in our room was so dirty. Looks like it... DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! The paint around the pool is all peeling off. Water leaks from the top of the pool area. The bathroom has brown stuff around the bottom of the toilet and also in the corner of the floor in the bathroom. Also, around the tub. The couch in our room was so dirty. Looks like it belongs in a dumpster. We couldn’t get clean towels, had to stand soaking wet in the hallway because our door wouldn’t unlock. Our sink got clogged. We were told it got fixed but never did. Our door lock never got fixed. I took pictures of everything and reporting this place to health department. It should be condemned. Also called corporate office and they didn’t seem to care. Could never get a manager or the owner to talk to. I hope this place goes down!!! I reported everything and sent pics to city inspector. Also I will be getting my money back. Already contacted a lawyer.

Well, I have to be honest. Didn’t have high expectations for this place given the less than stellar reviews. My friend made the reservation. Here’s the truth, it doesn’t look like much. The place is pretty standard. It may have a slight smell of pot in the lobby, BUT… our service from the front desk lady was sweet as can be and very accommodating. Our room had zero smell, was quiet and clean. Our beds were comfy and the pillows were good and squishy. We slept great and would absolutely come back. We paid half of what most hotels in the area were charging. Nothing but good when you just need a spot to sleep!! Give it a go!!

This place is probably the worst place I have ever stayed. There are no security locks in the door, the room is older than dirt, the only chair in the room is like sitting on concrete. I understand that during remodeling there will be I inconveniences, but this place should have been closed down and remodelled. The TV is so bad you cannot get a decent picture, just static and blurred people. Will never stay at a Norwood again. The pictures on the internet are of a new motel not this run down building. False advertising as far as I am concerned.

This hotel was honestly worse than I could’ve imagined. Even if you’re desperate for a place to stay do NOT stay here. Not only did every single room, hallway and stairway have a different disgusting smell (no seriously, we booked three rooms and we chose our room because it has the least horrifying smell of the three) but I’m also pretty sure this place is a red zone for sex trafficking. My friend had a weird experience where she was being watched and then heard a whistle and saw someone outside the entrance in a van with their door open just waiting. Thankfully she was okay but it was really unsettling. The rooms are absolutely disgusting, I think I would’ve rather slept in my car. We found toenail clippings in our room, I didn’t shower there because the shower faucets had hair on them, and I kid you not I felt like I was going to get sick from the moldy/damp smell in the room and building. I mean a friend and actually I refused to go down a stairway because as soon as we opened the door we were met with the most god awful smell it actually made me gag and stopped us both in our tracks. On top of all this the staff was awful. I tried to contact them weeks in advance to confirm the rooms and only got in touch with them the week of when they told me my rooms weren’t actually scheduled (looking back that probably would’ve been a blessing anyways). They blamed it on booking third party and weren’t helpful at and showed no willingness to help. Or care at all. Like I understand if they can’t do anything about it but if they could’ve worked with me a little more that would’ve went a long way. All in all this hotel had bad staff, terrible rooms, terrible bug infested pool and bad sex trafficking vibes. Do not stay here if you have a choice.

This place is absolutely disgusting. Black mold in the rooms. Broken bed. Stunk like smoke. Was dirty and everything was stained. Immediately checked out and demanded a refund after showing pictures of the room. Had to jump through hoops to get a refund that I still won’t get for another 7-10 business days. Will NEVER stay at this place. As I wouldn’t stay here for the 2 nights to begin with! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!

Saw some bad reviews, but we did not take the warning. One of the worst hotels I have stayed at. May have been ok at $30-$50 a night, but we paid much more for a "nicer" room. Room bigger, but was dirty and only half of the lights worked. The toilet ran continuously. There was only a couple towels and there was no housekeeping in between nights, so we had to make due. The "breakfast" was basically 2 types of cold cereal and granola bars. STAY FAR AWAY!

I wish I had photos but I wanted my family out of there so fast we didn’t take any. We rented 3 rooms. My brother and his daughters were staying in one that the walls were falling in and the bathroom door fell apart when they opened it My husband and 2 sons were in the 2nd room that smells of smoking all the things, public hair in the bathroom. The last room was the worst it smelled so bad as did the entire hallway to the rooms, it had NO running water to the toilet and there was cigarette in the toilet bowl that couldn’t be flushed due to no water, mold growing in the toilet, walls falling down with drywall dust on the floor, and it smelled bad. We left after 15 minutes of being there and told the receptionist we wanted a refund. She said she as sorry and she would give our info to the owner Jim. He was supposed to call us Monday. Tuesday came and no call from Jim so we called but he was not in the office so we called Wednesday he was in but no one could find him. I was told I would get a call back soon as she found him. 3 hours later no call so I called back and was told she didn’t know where he was so I got a bit upset and demanded to speak to him where the lady hung up on me and refused to answer my phone calls the next few times I tried to call. We called from a different number and she answered to say that she already knows why we are calling. We said yes for a refund (over 200.00) she told my daughter she would do what she could. My daughter started if we didn’t get a refund we were calling the BBB to which the lady hung up. These people are theives. They will steal your money and let you stay in a room that is very unsafe. Think twice before renting her.

I encountered the Reception Staff who were not only welcoming but also efficient and accommodating. They pleasantly granted my request for a late check-out, which I greatly appreciated. Both my companion and I were thoroughly content with our brief one-day stay. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't prolong our visit. Unfortunately, duty called, necessitating our return

The hotel exceeded my expectations. Bravo! The cuisine was excellent, consistently delivered fresh and promptly. The recently refurbished rooms were elegantly designed and updated. The hotel is on track to regain its previous grandeur. Blessings! I extend my gratitude to the management and staff for their attentive, amiable, and exceptional service.

An unparalleled stay, surpassing all others. The atmosphere exuded a sense of serenity and hospitality. The check-in and check-out procedures were expertly managed, rendering them effortless. The room offered ample space and was impeccably pristine. The receptionist displayed exceptional kindness. While the breakfast met expectations, it was a satisfactory start to the day.

The team was exceptional. The front desk staff were extremely accommodating and addressed all our inquiries. The room was spotless and well-lit, and the in-room dining service was consistently punctual. I definitely plan on returning! Many thanks for everything

This Place is a dump. Phones don't work. Pool broke Nov this is Feb. Microwave don't work anything else that u might want when going to a hotel? Oh and still paying same price as when it's working? Don't let all the workers/owners say they will fix it. Well months later same problems never fixed anything just moving on and hoping the same people won't stay again. Don't come here not close to a good place to stay. Owner don't want to fix problems. Easy fix don't give them ur business.

The whole building reeked of cigarettes and marijuana. The people at the front desk were condescending. Room had stains on the walls, sheets, and toilet. There were no towels at all upon arrival and I was treated like a problem for requesting them. During my 4-night stay, housekeeping never came even once. Beds stayed unmade, trash was never removed, and towels were never replaced. The pool was closed and their idea of a "continental breakfast" consisted of cereal only, and was only even available on the weekends. This place is all-around lousy and it's worth it to spend a little extra to stay elsewhere.

Stayed a Thursday and Friday night for WIAA Track & Field at UW La Crosse. Conveniently located, easy 10 minute drive to the university. Quiet, safe neighborhood. I was impressed by the friendly, helpful staff and the amazing fresh fruit for breakfast. The property is indeed old and somewhat shabby, but I was grateful for working AC, a shower, and a bed after 2 long days in the sun at the track meet. The microwave and mini fridge were surprising amenities in the room! The blankets and comforter in my room need to be replaced, but the sheets were clean, and the bed was comfy. I always check ALL hotels for signs of bed bugs and was relieved to find none.

This place should be condemned!! It is absolutely disgusting. The mold smell was so strong in not just in 1 room but we tried 2 and it was as hard to breathe. The smell knocked you off of your feet. They tried to mask the smell with air freshener in both rooms. They would not issue a refund, they have a no refund policy. You would be safer sleeping in your car. This would not even be fit for the homeless. Horrible air quality. The Health Department will be notified. Don’t waste your time or money on this place. Absolutely deplorable. I would give it 0 stars if I was able to.

Stayed here in September 2022. Not a good experience. I didn't expect too much, I was really just looking for a place to catch some solid Zs and couldn't even do that. Nothing in the room worked, not even most of the lights. The toilet wasn't even working right and was constantly running. I had to shut off the water to sleep. A neighboring room smoked all night. They also were having domestic disputes and their TV was blaring all night. This place was the definition of paper-thin walls. The saving grace - and only reason I gave it 2 stars - was that the staff I interacted with were amazing and friendly. I'd spend a few more bucks and go elsewhere if you are looking to get a solid night of rest.

I was going to not write a review in hopes of giving the property the opportunity to make me happy but since the manager never called me to try to make it right here goes. I’ll start out with the staff with both check in and check out we’re both very friendly and that’s about the only good now the bad. My room was absolutely filthy. I didn’t expect much paying $145 with taxes and fees for one night on a Saturday especially when the hotels in downtown la crosse were close to $250 but cleanliness and decent presentation isn’t asking a lot. Almost every wall had been dry walled to cover up wholes and they never repainted. The phone in the room was stained yellowish brown. The toilet hadn’t been properly cleaned in a while and had a ring around it. The bathroom plug/stopper had corrosion around it. My tv remote didn’t work. All very basic things that I feel like could have been fixed just with a manager making sure it’s cleaners and contractors for their jobs but maybe this place doesn’t have the money to run their hotel to a normal standard. Had this room cost $80 id say it was a fair deal anymore you’re over paying.

It was affordable, the beds was cleaning. Bathroom was clean. The AC worked amazingly well. Not sure why the carpets was damp. The Hallways stunk like cheap weed or bug spray. Couldn't really distinguish the smell. It was just awful.

While the last thirty-seconds of our checkout were treated with proper hospitality and the festive atmosphere of the lobby was alluring, DON'T BE FOOLED. The price of our stay was nowhere near worth the trouble. Up on check-in we were treated to a long line of impatient customers and a concierge with a plummeting attitude. Phone calls would would ring, greeted to an unenthusiastic statement of the hotel not having availability and how it was the customers fault for not checking before calling. Two employees should be staffed for popular check-in times to eliminate congestion. Our room had several appliances not plugged in to outlets, the television, when it decided to work, had few channels, stains on the mattress left us sleeping with one eye open and the mold in the shower, unattractive typed notes warning guests to behave on camera, and peeling wallpaper were just icing on the cake. Not worth my time nor money. Look elsewhere.

Lady at check in was very friendly. Other than that I was not happy with our stay. We had 1 towel upon arriving for a 3 night stay due to my grandmother passing away and attending her funeral. The hallway where we were reeked of cigarette smoke. We even smelled marijuana through our bathroom, which I’m assuming was from the next room. There were doors slamming and yelling throughout the night. We had our almost 6 month old son with us. Not to mention the cleaning of the room was done poorly

the girl at the front desk, very nice, however there are other places to stay. hot tub is closed off, don't expect hot shower, don't expect many channels on the TV either cuz there are about 8 or 10 if. ice machine barely works, and there must be a shortage of towels. Dope smokers in the parking lot seemed constant

1st room deemed clean 141. Walk in and the beds are nasty and not made wet towels everywhere. Changed to room 131. Looked decent after the 1st room BUT. Standard room things are gone like sink drain and a draining tub it still has cleaning chemicals in it. And so i am making them do their job i dont know what chemicals they use not do i have gloves. -the AC unit is LOUD like a running car engine they can get someone in here to make the bathroom usable. The hot tub is down so but the pool is heated. Fine look in and its nasty. No pool towels the water is filmy. Not worth the 120 a night.

We stayed here 5 months ago and had a pleasant experience. Rooms are big and accommodating. The hotel is outdated but for the price, it was perfect for us. Because of covid, the breakfast was grab and go which was fine. We returned again and was pleased to see the same desk clerk was there and pleasant. The room was clean and accommodating. Went to grab breakfast the next morning and was told she wasn't going to put it out. "Maybe tomorrow". It felt like she didn't want to bother with it. Because we were under a timeline, we had to get food from a gas station. We will be back in 5 months. Hopefully they will feel like putting breakfast out with is advertised.

Overall, it was a decent experience. The room was pretty clean, and stayed at a comfortable temp. The beds were okay. We were reserved for a king, but got two queens-we were told someone already had the room we were given the first set of keys for. We slept separately for space because of that. They give you minimal towels, but are willing to give more upon request. I brought my own pool towel from home. When I set the reservation, I used Snap Travel and paid ahead of time. It was advertised as the Days Inn. These sites and any searches need to be updated. Norwood should probably put someone on social and web presence management. I noticed other people find it deceiving. I also called (left voicemail), emailed, and sent a chat on the website to confirm our reservation. No response was received, so I called again the next day and someone answered/confirmed (at the time it was still a king room). One thing that doesn't show up when reserving is that continental breakfast is no longer on weekdays. Not even holidays, I see. It sucks to come in thinking you're getting something you're not. The hot tub is out of order. I would call and check/confirm amenities if they're important to you. It was a mild annoyance, but at least the rate was lower. All employees AND the manager were really nice. The manager was super helpful and patient with my mom's questions. Mom is local, and was asking some pointed questions about the facilities. I was more than satisfied with the conversation. Our room was quiet, and we slept good that night. There was coffee offered in the lobby, and plenty of parking. I will be back, as I know they accept pets; it was still better (and now cheaper) than the other place we were using when bringing our cat. To sum it up, I was glad I checked it out. I'll be sure to call and confirm my reservation and check on amenities at the time.
