😐 Great place by the ocean with very loud music and seating both indoors and outdoors. Good ambiance, great interiors. Menu is well presented as you can see in the pictures and is tasteful. I recommend the tangy tamarind margarita personally. Salsas and guacamole are tasteful too besides the cocktail... Great place by the ocean with very loud music and seating both indoors and outdoors. Good ambiance, great interiors. Menu is well presented as you can see in the pictures and is tasteful. I recommend the tangy tamarind margarita personally. Salsas and guacamole are tasteful too besides the cocktails. Servers are good and attentive- to the point that they start taking away your drinks or leftover dishes even while you’re still eating ! They were in a rush to clean up and won t let us be after about ten minutes of starting to eat - that was the only but big downside to an otherwise nice lively place- walkable to the best hotels like the Ritz and Hard Rock. Sewer starch from nearby did bother us a bit while sitting by the water. I recommend the place for a great evening. Great drinks selection.

The place is beautiful, very busy with great vibe. Totally recommend for a Saturday night. The food is ok. Nothing great or exceptional. Nothing over the top. The cauliflower was good. The tuna ceviche was tasteless. The Pork Shank was flavorless. The goat cheese salad was lacking salt. The beef stew with cheese crust was nice if you’ve added from one of the sauces that came at the beginning. One of the worse parts were the fact that they used a whole stalk of the coriander instead of picking just the leaves. Such a rookie mistake and makes it uncomfortable to take a bite. The best part was the churros which were great. Crispy from the outside and super soft from the inside. Over all, if you’re looking for a high end restaurant with great vibe and decent food - I’ll recommend.

Incredible staff & service! We have never felt so taken care of at a restaurant. They have thought of every single detail. The drinks were amazing & food, too! The bar cart was fun & unique & worth paying a little extra per drink for that table - side service. El pastor taco presentation was so neat how they cooked the food table- side. We were extremely taken care of & blown away by service & ambiance. Music was a little loud , but they played enjoyable music. The passion fruit mezcal cocktail was so good &, again , the presentation 👏🏽 complimentary cookies at end were a nice touch !

A classic example of trying too hard and completely missing the mark. This place has a lot of potential, but it failed to impress us. The location, the view, the ambiance, and the music were all great, but the food and the service were disappointing. The food was bland and forgettable. None of us enjoyed our dishes or wanted to order them again. The service was pushy. The waiters tried to upsell everything, from drinks and appetizers to desserts, even when we clearly said no or had indicated our selections. I strongly believe management is responsible for this excessive attempt to sell add-ons. The worst part was when they asked us to choose the tip percentage before finalizing payment, instead of letting us input it ourselves on the receipt or the machine like any other place. This place tried too hard to be fancy and ended up being frustrating.

We stopped here for a quick ( and late) lunch after a long afternoon in the car. We weren’t dressed the part, but that didn’t stop the staff from treating us with the utmost kindness. The food was delicious! Our family of 7 tried multiple appetizers, mains, and desserts. Everything was wonderful! Also, we had a few mixed drinks and they were also very tasty. The service was perfect and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Porforis offers a variety of unique dishes in a remarkable setting with outstanding service. While the food is excellent, it tends to be on the expensive side. For dinner, it's advisable to make reservations, loved the dinner sunset view. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and plan to visit again.

An experience that you must enjoy! This restaurant is beautiful, luxurious, and yet feels like being at a friend’s party. The service is quick and efficient, and always with positive energy and a smile. Servers become familiar and friendly immediately, but always remain professional. Meals are exceptional! A wonderful menu full of tempting new spins on Mexican favorites, and other exciting culinary temptations. The drinks are equally as exciting and energetic as the atmosphere of the restaurant. The servers know their guests right away, and are great at getting you to have just a bit more, which is fine by me because the drinks were marvelous. Get dessert! You can’t go wrong. The Corn Bread might not sound very interesting, but it was incredible! Menus are virtual, so make sure you’ve got good cell service and enough battery to peruse the menus. Guess that goes without saying. And if you can, get a table outdoors. The water view is beautiful! There’s even a small dock to enjoy for taking pictures and watching the sunset. You won’t be sorry for reserving a table here.

Tonight was my second visit to Porfirio's (first visit was in Feb 2020) and again it was excellent. The service is stellar and the food is amazing. I recommend arriving early enough to watch the sunset on the patio. Our hotel concierge made reservations for us and they also have online reservations. From start to finish, it's a great experience. Be sure to save room for dessert. The churros are a delight.

The atmosphere here was amazing, and I haven't had mole that good in a long time. Would definitely come back here on my trip to Cancun. Loved it. The staff made my grandma's birthday a blast as well.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Lively and fun vibes. We waited for about 15/20 minutes because we didn’t have the reservations but it was worth the wait. I will not recommend to bring little kids here as the music can be too loud for them. I personally love the music / song and performance. All and all a great night.

We came here to watch a world cup game because they had an amazing set up with multiple screens including a giant one behind the bar. Being vegan we were prepared to just order some salad and fries during the game since this place looked so meat oriented. They surprised us by providing quite a few options from starters to desserts and everything was absolutely delicious. Their cocktail drinks were impressive too and we definitely had more glasses than anticipated. Most of all, the services here were just amazing. They did a perfect balance of not bothering you too much but being able to show up to change plates clean the table ask for more drinks etc. at the perfect time. We especially appreciated it since the servers were so attentive with all these above during a world cup game of team Mexico. Super professional.

FUN! Porfirio's provided a fantastic date night for my wife and me. The restaurant has a feeling of elegance, while also remaining relaxed -- the staff was dancing, clapping, and singing along with the music. We had a blast people-watching and enjoying the music but you should absolutely be aware: it is loud. This is NOT the restaurant if you're looking for a quiet evening, or a place to have a long conversation. Instead, this is a place to enjoy amazing food with a great fun ambiance. Porfirio's goes above and beyond with food and drink presentations, so it almost feels like dinner & a show. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced (for American standards). I would highly recommend this spot for a fun night out!

We booked this restaurant last minute and got a reservation. We were offered a low table outside overlooking the lagoon. We ordered espresso martinis and they were perfect. We ordered numerous items from the menu. They did get one of starters wrong but we didn’t replace the item. The cauliflower head was amazing, cooked to perfection. The guacamole was average. The churros were good. Throughout the night the music is very loud and you do need to shout to talk.

Unique experience and an amazing location on the sea. Service is amazing and so is the show from the course presentation to the Fiesta with the dancing skeletons! We also experienced fireworks from the sea as part of this amazing experience. The food was good, slightly less than expected considering all the rest of the amazing experience. Prices were more reasonable than expected. Highly recommend!

This is a very trendy restaurant, and clearly very popular with tourists, as it was absolutely packed. It's a unique place, part upper class restaurant mixed with pub, nightclub and hullabaloo bar. You can tell from the moment you step in that it's not going to be cheap. The food is very different. The dishes are quite small but have a very unique take on Mexican cuisine. If you're looking for traditional Mexican food, this is not the place. Overall, its a cool place.

This is a must while in cancun, food was excellent, I had the picana, with baked potato and asparagus. Was flavorful and amazing. Drinks were good as well, got an Old Fashion and a Gold Rush, view and atmosphere is amazing. Our server was very informative about the surrounding lagoon and location. The bill was around $235 for a party of 5 and we ate and drank, same food in vegas or Los Angeles would run you well over $500.

This was our last meal in Cancun, and it was such an incredible experience. The staff went above and beyond to make our visit amazing. My youngest is generally very picky and they made sure everything was perfect for him from start to finish. The food came out pristine and everything was bursting with flavor and beauty. You can see the passion in the food. Service is obviously very important here and the pride they have in their establishment is very apparent. We did not feel rushed in any way, and they made us feel at home. Thank you, this was the perfect close to our Mexcio vacation!

Friday night: Good service all around. Great food. Didn't do dessert. Very lively crowd. People have a great time. Throughout the night the restaurant feels more like a club with good food. But not over the top.

Amazing Christmas dinner with our two kids. The service is more than perfect, it was busy and they offered us some appetizers on the house. Kids menu was great, the view was fantastic and the whole staff amazing. What a perfect place ! Price is great as well. Thank you 😊

Great place to eat well prepared and excellent looking dishes. The restaurant is very nice and high-end looking, servers are great and move pretty quick, the drinks are very good, and the dessert (which we got was the churros) is delicious and incredible!

We went there to celebrate my husband’s birthday and everything was so good and everyone so nice. It’s a really beautiful place and the food it’s soooo good, also isn’t that expensive. They gave us a cake for free and everyone sang happy birthday to my husband. I highly recommend this place. 🫶🏽

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Porfirio Cancún, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere that set the tone for the rest of the evening. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a modern yet cozy ambiance. The attention to detail in the interior design is evident, from the stylish furniture to the carefully chosen artwork adorning the walls. It truly creates a welcoming and sophisticated environment. Now, let's talk about the food. Porfirio Cancún specializes in Mexican cuisine, and they certainly do it justice. The menu offers a wide variety of traditional dishes, as well as some unique and creative twists on classics. Each dish is prepared with the utmost care and attention to flavor. I started my meal with the guacamole, which was absolutely delicious. The avocados were perfectly ripe, and the combination of fresh ingredients created a burst of flavors that was simply delightful. The highlight of the evening was the Hot Stone New York Steak. It was not only delicious but also a unique and interactive way to enjoy your meal. Cooking the steak on the hot stones added an element of excitement and made the experience truly memorable. I highly recommend trying this dish for a fun and enjoyable dining experience at Porfirio's. For my main course, I decided to indulge in the mouthwatering Tiesos dish. This delectable creation features a perfect blend of flavors, including creamy avocado, crisp radish, fragrant coriander, zesty red onion, and a tantalizing green sauce. The star of the dish is the Red Chilli Beef Stew, which adds a rich and savory element to the overall experience. The combination of these ingredients creates a harmonious symphony of tastes that will leave your taste buds dancing with delight. The service at Porfirio Cancún was impeccable. Amado and Abdon were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving. They were more than happy to answer any and all questions we had, making us feel like a valued guest throughout the entire evening. To top it all off, the drink menu at Porfirio Cancún is extensive and impressive. They offer a wide selection of tequilas and mezcal, as well as a variety of signature cocktails and for me great mocktails . I tried their sunrise, and it was hands down one of the best I've ever had. The balance of flavors was spot on, and the presentation was visually appealing, passion fruit puree , pineapple juice, lime juice, Red Bull® Tropical and pineapple leaves. In addition, Porfirio Cancún is an excellent choice for celebrating special milestones. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel truly special and create a memorable experience. Overall, my experience at Porfirio Cancún was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of delicious food, beautiful ambiance, and outstanding service made for a truly memorable dining experience. Whether you're a local or a tourist visiting Cancún, I highly recommend paying a visit to Porfirio Cancún for a taste of authentic Mexican cuisine at its finest.

Oh what a view. We had 2 waiters (Angel and Josh) and both were extremely friendly. My drink was in a conch (?) shell. Delicioso. The kids had some kind of sunset drink (nonalcoholic). The flaming appetizer steak was tasty and I tried ant eggs on my bone marrow.

The food and drinks were absolutely delicious! The service from everyone was outstanding. Valeria and Isabel were amazing and made the experience exceptional. The views at sunset were unbeatable, would 10/10 recommend and would go back!

Great experience all around, host & hostess were very nice. Even preemptively asked if I had any allergies, although I sat at the bar top the male host still walked me to my seat and pulled out my chair. I've never had that happen anywhere! The Bartender was very friendly and accommodating and one of the managers stopped by to introduce himself and make sure everything came out correct and that it was good. The mushroom fondue, filet and shrimp were all delicious. Topped off the experience by having a live Mariachi band walk around and play music intermittently.

We spent our first evening in Cancun here after receiving a recommendation to dine here from the resort we were staying at. We truly enjoyed everything about this place! From the ambience, to the music, food AND drink—everything was delicious, enjoyable, and so memorable. We sat outside with a view of the sunset. The highlight was receiving a special presentation of our drinks made by the in-house mixologist. I ordered the Jalisco and my boyfriend ordered the Michoacán. Both were so smooth and so good! We each got tacos (bone marrow and beef + short rib) and flan for dessert which were DEVOURED. The staff was so attentive, friendly, and accommodating. You could tell that it was an organized establishment by the way the waiters and bussers were moving about. Very professional, great service. I highly recommend dining here for a beautiful sunset dinner. Would definitely come back again!

They have a DJ & live Mariachis. The food is the best Mexican I’ve had. The ambiance, the food, the service… it’s all perfect. The flan is the best I’ve had since my grandma.

This was our first visit and we were absolutely amazed with the combined quality of the food, the excellent service and the great time on Friday night. Of course, the view of the sunset is awesome as well. Everything we ate was spectacular from the jumbo shrimp to the dips and chips, and the flank steak we had was spectacular. We can’t wait to return!!!

We came to celebrate a birthday and it was a great experience. I recommend getting a reservation close to sunset. The view of the sunset in their outside seating area was breathtaking. The DJ played fun remixes of known songs. I did not find the music too loud like people in other reviews were saying but maybe that’s because we went on a Tuesday and we’re outside. Expect to spend about $100USD for two people if you order a few drinks and 2 entrees. Our server was very attentive and did not rush us when enjoying our meal.

This visit was insisted by our host from CAO, we honestly had a better customer service experience there and the food was better as well. The margarita was good and I had to bring out Chef Hubby to doctor up my tacos. The last pic was what I really wanted from them.

You come here for the ambiance. At about $100 CND a head, couple drinks maybe a piece, shared churros for dessert. Beautiful view of the water. Great ambiance. Worth visiting. The servers are very nice but slow. Struggled to get their attention at times. Food was decent - good even. Not fantastic. Would recommend. Good quality for the price if you’re Canadian. Large generous portions.

A beautiful location to view sunset and have a meal. The front desk team was very friendly however the servers were unfriendly and that took me by surprise. They kept asking us for the wine list and my husband said he prefers a drink as I don’t drink wine and he can’t finish a bottle and that may have put them off. I don’t know what it was the way the server banged the drink on the table made us so uncomfortable. My rating is for the overall place and food but if I had to rate the service I would say 2 star. We ordered a cauliflower appetizer and the Guac with chips. Though I told them I don’t eat cheese they had put cheese in the Guac. Later we ordered fish tacos and enchiladas. They also serve a cookie which is traditional Mexican. A must visit if you love sunset and great music with a beautiful ambiance. Let’s assume it was a bad day for the server and he took it off on us and don’t let that deter your visit and yes! Their spicy sauces they served with on the house appetizer as in pic is really hot! A must try if you love hot sauces 😀
