So although we were indulging in Tacos and Tequilas, we noticed that in the Hotel Zone it has quite a strong Italian influence with regards to restaurants. Our Hotel NYX Cancun included, as on the ground floor was this hidden restaurant. We decided to give it a try one evening. The hotel is rather strict when it comes to booking a reservation so luckily we did that early morning. Chianti Cancun has a normal and a "gourmet" menu offering you all the traditional Italian dishes and more. For starters I had the Spicy Tuna - sealed in a pepper crust with pepper and Garlic Mayonnaise and Red Pesto, my friend had the Minestrone Soup, traditional soup with seasoned vegetables and pesto beans. Delicious, my Tuna did have quite a bit of kick due to the pepper so i would have liked a bit more of the Mayo to calm it down. Although quite full, we couldn't resist trying a main meal. I picked the Risotto Chianti (a house recipe with Pork Ribs and wild Mushrooms) and my friend had the Asparagus Risotto (served with Fennel, Almonds and Parmesan Cheese). Cooked perfectly and full of flavour, it was just extremely rich in taste. We just could not finish our meals. However it was a lovely Italian experience in Cancun of all places. We had one "included visit" to Chianti during our all inclusive stay at NYX Hotel. Pros: 1. The staff were amazing 2. The atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant was on point 3. Food was prepared quickly 4. The appetizers were fantastic, especially the thinly sliced beef dish 5. All the dishes were presented nicely Con: 1. The main dishes did not impress us; the lasagna was nothing special and the tuna steak was just okay But other than that, we had a pleasurable experience, although I wouldn't say we'd visit again when we're back in Cancun. After all, the main dishes should be the highlight. The staff, as always, are super awesome though, so be sure to tip them!

New favorite place! The food here was exceptionally mind blowing. It is some of the best italiano I’ve had and that’s saying a lot for being in Cancun of all places. The atmosphere was nice. It was well lit but also felt private. Not too big. The place didn’t give you a headache like some other options on the island (señor frogs). Service was best we found. Esteban and Ronaldo were a great duo. No drink was left empty before the next was on deck. If you are looking for a good meal or a romantic place to take your significant other than look no further than here. We’re also expecting a baby and they surprised us with a little “congrats on your baby” dessert at the end of our meal. Definitely recommend this place!

Chianti's restraunt was amazing and I can not say enough good things about our waiter Juan! The Spicy Tuna was delicious, I had the veal and it was a little tough, but tasty. My girlfriend had the Salmon and finished it all. She is not one to waste calories on a bad dish. Also worth noting.... Chianti's has the best deserts in the resort so be sure to save room. The only bad experience was the there was a loud obnoxious table of 6 behind us. I did not think it was possible but this woman was not laughing but cackling through the entire night!😔 At on point I was hoping she would choke on her food just so she would stop. I know that's very wrong of me but she was beyond annoying. Also people please be respectful to others and leave the cell phones at home. Playing Facebook videos and facetime family is not to be done at a restaurant. The only hint I could give Chianti's to improve is to enforce the dress code! Your place deserves formal not sweat pants and baseball caps.

This entire facility, their staff, the onsite restaurants and their culinary/food offerings are an absolute phenomenal experience and quality. This resort is by far the most impressive and out of this world, words cannot fully embody the experience of this resort. It is absolutely life changing. Special kudos and admiration to Elias, Evalio and Raul for providing such exceptional service and creating an unbelievably fantastic dining experience for me and my family. There is no where else I will vacationing moving forward. Thank you to the entire Grand Fiesta Americana, their dining and hospitality team. This entire experience has been a beautiful dreammmmmmm.

My wife and I dined at Chianti Cancun, and it was a fantastic experience. The ambiance of the restaurant struck the perfect balance between elegance and comfort, setting the stage for a delightful evening. Our Waiter, Antonio was excellent, his friendly attitude and attention to detail made us feel genuinely cared for. The standout of our meal was the Lasagna which was perfectly cooked. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a taste of Italy 🇮🇹 in Cancun! Exceptional service, food and ambiance 🍷

I love the ambiance of this place more so than the food. We stayed at the NYX so our all inclusive package included three meals at this highly rated Italian restaurant. They have a live violinist that plays music during the entire evening, a definite bonus! Service was good, food was alright. For antipasti, we ordered the beef carpaccio and vongole (clams). Clams were very tiny (wish they were larger!), but the dressing was nicely done. We also ordered Caesar salad to share. For mains, we had the lasagna and the beef roll. Lasagna was very meaty, while the beef roll was tender, not bad, but not spectacular. For dessert, we had the brioche with ice cream and the panna cota, the latter was a bit dense and firm, could be lighter. The brioche with ice cream was decent. Will return to try their pasta dishes. UPDATE We came for the second time and the food was excellent. We ordered the eggplant and stuffed squid as appetizers, and the spaghetti carbonara and fettuccine with smoked bacon as the mains. They were all very delicious, better than the first meal. Hence the extra star for food.

Our waiter, Esteban, was excellent! Was even kind enough to let us know that we overpaid but the extra was for him. Compliments to the chef, Fredy-Dekar! Everything was tremendous! The tuna dinner was so delicious!

Fantastic food and cocktails! Tried a salad, pizza and pasta - all delicious. Free bread and appetisers were very yummy. Some confusion regarding a drink order, but possibly due to my poor Spanish.

Amazing experience at Chianti, great food as well. Waiter Mesero Christian and Enrique went above and beyond to meet my gluten free needs. Hospitality was top notch. I highly recommend and will be back.

We are pure vegetarians and we went here wanting to try some good vegetarian options. The waiter was very helpful in helping us decide what works well for us, and he checked each time to make sure that it meets our needs My personal favorite was pumpkin soup and vegetarian pizza. I highly recommend pumpkin soup

The service for this place was SUPERB my pear and gorgonzola salad OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious, really delicious wine. I ordered the caccio e peppe and it was meh but I still give it 5 stars because the experience of dining there was amazing.

Pretty basic Italian restaurant. Situated pretty much within Nyx hotel. Prices are pretty ok and pizza is not bad either.

Food was nice. Don’t order the lasagna and the veal wil prosciutto was tough to cut and chew

We had two nights included in our all inclusive package to have dinner at Chianti restaurant. Both nights we could not eat our main courses, but that is our taste that cannot eat very sweet(almost jam-like) beef. But I gave them 1 star because of their management style. They haphazardly change how they treat their customers. Even the greeting. Our server was rude and entitled and ruined our night which was our wedding anniversary. If you’re going there don’t expect the normal and usual way of customer service. Even when you give tips twice as usual.

The food was great. The waiters are good at serving but not so much personality. They all seemed a bit uptight. Maybe some call it professional, I call it uptight. Prefer the staff at the Deck.

I wanted to post here so that people are aware about the tricks that they play on tourists. We had dinner and ordered glass of wine from the menu, where it was specifically mentioned as the price for glass. They opened a bottle and poured the wine and kept the bottle on the table. When the cheque came in we saw that it's billed for the whole bottle. We told the server that the order was placed only for glass and they can take the bottle. But they denied and said it's not possible and asked us to pay for the full bottle and take it home. Never expected such pathetic experience from this restaurant. You are way better off somewhere else. The food was just average.

Overall the experience was nice the FIRST TIME we went. We had two visits included in our NYX visit. The manager Barbara was lovely and very friendly. Also Juan was fantastic and friendly. The experience the second time we went was strange as there was some TENSION/ passive aggressiveness we didn't understand coming from Estaban. We did order many dishes(tried not to waste food) which we confirmed with the manager was included. HOWEVER, when I went to the washroom Estaban told my wife that we were only supposed to order one app, main, and desert and that they were doing us a favour. We really didn't like this as this was not the policy of the restaurant as we later confirmed. I'm not sure what we did to upset Estaban but it was very obvious that he did not want to serve us throughout the second visit(maybe he was just having a bad day). The other staff were lovely but this definitely spoiled our second visit.

Drinks were good ish, salmon is amazing but I make better spaghetti

Chianti was a big disappointment, good was sub par, service tried but didn’t deliver and especially the wine selection was not as expected - after having opted for a Sauvignon Blanc by the glass we were advised to choose the Chenin Blanc by the bottle and it was awful - then we reverted back to the SB and it wasn’t great either… all in, wouldn’t return to Chianti in Cancun…

We had dinner at this restaurant tonight. Either our waiter was new, or just was lazy. Really couldn't tell you which. After initial contact with our waiter we didn't see him again for fifteen minutes to take our order. Once he did make it back to us he didn't even offer to refill our drinks. We waited over forty minutes for our food after the salad was brought by another waiter. Another waiter periodically came by to ask if we needed refills. Food was just okay. Nothing to write home about. The restaurant wasn't even that busy. Our reservation was at 8pm, and we didn't get out of there until 9:20.

We had a great dinner here. Our waiter Rolando was amazing and super nice. The wine and food were good and also pretty cheap for such a nice place. Can only recommend.

We had a great experience tonight! We were greeted by a sweet girl Zuleyma who let us pick our seats! We were served by Christian all evening, he was so helpful and attentive & super friendly, giving us all the best reccomendation and keeping our wine glasses full! The manager Nadia knew we were celebrating a milestone and sent over several bonus courses our way on the house, that was a great surprise! Drinks made by Jonatan were perfect, cause sometimes I find drinks can be too strong but these were perfectly mixed. & Finally the Chef -Armando really knows his way around this kitchen! Try the beef carpaccio, lasagna and salmon! So so good. The fresh bread and desserts were so yummy too! Definitely reccomend a stop here if your on Cancun for a romantic dinner! (We caught the sunset over our meal and our waiter even took us out for a beautiful photo op!)

We had one of the most amazing dinners we've ever had tonight at Chianti. The waiter found out we were on our honeymoon and brought us an amazing special dessert. Our waiter Ismail was so attentive and happy and inviting he really made our experience wonderful. We will definitely come here for our next visit and stay at the nyx Cancun again.

Francisco May & Raul were fabulous! Francisco was so knowledgeable on green local wines and extremely attentive!
