Stayed
here
first
week
of
Dec
2023.
Update-
they
ended
up
refunding
me
for
the
items,
although
it
was
a
long
process.
Pros-
Location-
about
a
30
min
drive
from
the
airport,
lovely
patch
of
connected
beach
on
the
Hotel
Zone
Strip.
Ground
staff-
the
servers,
ushers,
bell
boys,
drivers,
bartenders
were
super
nice,
cordial
and
always
smiling.
Food
-
decent
tasting
food,
good
variety
at
the
buffet,
lots
of
options
for
vegetarians.
Cons-
Building-
very
old
facade,
paint
peeling
in
places
and
rust
on
metal,
cracks
in
sink,
mildew
in
bathroom.
Bedrooms
poorly
designed,
headboard
juts
out
over
your
head
so
you
need
to
be
careful
of
not
knocking
against
it
when
you
wake
up.
And
no
back
support
when
you’re
sitting
in
bed.
Resort
Credits-
they
give
you
around
$500
worth
of
resort
credits
when
you
book
with
them,
but
they
don’t
tell
you
that
these
credits
are
useless.
You
can
only
spend
a
limited
number
of
credits
on
activities
like
the
spa,
hotel
shop,
golf,
etc
and
need
to
pay
the
remainder
(and
majority)
of
the
inflated
costs
out
of
pocket.
There’s
also
a
16%
tax
on
everything,
which
also
comes
out
of
pocket.
Housekeeping-
the
ladies
are
very
nice,
but
they
will
enter
your
room
even
when
the
“no
housekeeping”
light
is
on,
and
will
throw
out
things
they
do
not
recognize.
I
came
back
to
my
room
to
find
my
personal
(and
expensive)
hair
products
gone
and
replaced
with
cheap
hotel
ones.
They
also
threw
out
my
medicines,
which
I
thought
was
highly
unprofessional,
and
honestly
just
weird.
The
response
from
the
hotel
to
this
was
frankly
appalling,
staff
was
not
just
ridiculously
slow
to
respond,
but
after
following
up
multiple
times
told
us
they
couldn’t
confirm
what
we
were
saying
was
true,
and
“sorry
but
there’s
nothing
we
can
do,
oops”.
I’m
still
waiting
to
hear
back
from
the
PR
team
on
compensation
for
my
lost
products,
but
I
don’t
have
much
hope.
Office
staff
-
the
concierges,
“tour
planning
group”,
PR
staff
need
training
in
customer
service.
They
are
extremely
slow
to
respond,
are
missing
from
their
desk
more
than
half
the
time,
and
have
no
real
interest
in
actually
solving
your
problem.
They
are
primarily
interested
in
getting
you
to
sign
up
for
stuff
you
don’t
need.
And
they
immediately
lose
interest
in
the
conversation,
and
adopt
a
pretty
bored
tone
if
they
think
you’re
just
browsing
and
not
ready
to
book
something
immediately.
This
was
our
first
visit
to
Mexico,
and
unfortunately
the
staff’s
attitudes
put
us
off,
unsure
if
we’ll
come
back
to
the
country
and
if
we
do,
I
doubt
we’ll
stay
with
Palace
Resorts.
TLDR-
Definitely
not
a
five
star
resort,
closet
to
2/3.
Avoid
if
you
can.
If
you
must
stay
here,
however,
lock
away
your
important
stuff
in
the
safe
at
all
times,
don’t
leave
your
toiletries
in
the
bathroom,
take
pictures
of
the
“do
not
disturb”
housekeeping
light
if
you
have
it
turned
on,
and
pray
that
you
don’t
have
to
deal
with
PR/
customer
service
!
