We booked this hotel fully aware of the bad reviews guests had left in the past, in the hopes of proving them wrong and having a great experience. If you are just looking for a budget room in a convenient location the resort is satisfactory, the staff are mostly very kind and accommodating. One area that could use the most room for improvement is the food, if you are paying for all-inclusive be aware that the food quality is very low, especially if you like your meals served hot. The room was pretty good and we were hoping to give it a good review until we went to bed, the walls are very thin and at around midnight we were woken by a group of men partying outside our door, we tried to call front desk to see if they could help, unfortunately they didn't. when we did finally fall asleep we were woken in the morning to our room partially flooding due to the rain. All in all, if you are looking for the Cancun resort experience this is probably not it, however if you just want to have somewhere to lay your head after partying for the day/night then this is for you. The hotel would improve a great deal if some more effort went it to the food as well as guest comfort.

We came here years ago and loved the experience. I feel this place lost it’s touch. There was a mix up with what our reservation included and the staff were condescending when addressing it to us. It wasn’t our fault that the person we reserved with messed up. This place was unprofessional and unpleasant. I don’t recommend it for a long stay. If it’s just for one night or two, maybe but I’m sure there are better options elsewhere.

Hospitality was really bad. Food was not good. Housekeeping was good. Staffing was OK. I wouldn't recommend this Hotel for anything. There's better hotels out there that really worth your money. This my opinion what's bad for me might be good for you. THE ONLY PERSON WITH GOOD MANNERS AND GREAT HOSPITALITY WAS SISSY.

Pictures on their website are kind of deceiving. Downstairs is an excursion lobby and tons of people wait on the very small patch of beach for their boats to take off from the dock taking up most of the beach area. The buffet wasn't very good (food wasn't warm/hot most of the time) and a good chunk of the outdoor space was under construction. I had an issue with bed bugs when first arriving and was luckily able to move rooms after the second night. I appreciate that they were willing to take care of me by moving me rooms without hesitation and getting me a doctor, but it definitely put a damper on my trip. Limited selection of alcoholic drinks are served from 11AM to 10PM. Pool closes at 7PM.

I was going to stay here, but the lady at the front desk was super rude and careless. Maybe because I didn't arrive in a taxi or airport shuttle. She quoted me a way higher price than what I found googling the place. I tried booking in person because I did not have good connection, so I could not book online. The place looks like it needs lots of updating. The area and prices I found in Google seemed like a good deal. Maybe you'll have better luck at this place.

This hotel has everything except for hospitality or WiFi in your room. So, if you need WiFi you better expect to sit in the lobby. Also, they said they didn’t receive my reservation from Expedia. So, expect a good 25+ min delay upon your arrival if your name isn’t on their reservation list. Rooms are sub par. I guess you get what you pay for. The dude that walks you to your room asks you for a tip. And he definitely expects one. He literally comes into your room with you, turns on your AC and TV then asks for a tip. 🤦🏽 The locals in the villages of Afghanistan were much politer and more welcoming than this. I guess you get what you pay for. Never going cheap again. Even if it is for 1 night.

The most affordable, safe, quiet, friendliest staff with huge rooms on the beach in the start of the hotel zone and close to town. They have a store by the entrance and another 24hr store nearby that has food. Free parking on location. Only thing I suggest is to take a collapsible cooler, they don't have fridges in rooms or microwaves.

My friend and I had a great time staying at Hotel Imperial Las Perlas, the service is very personalized and we even began to make friends with some of the staff! Sissy helped us the most to find and plan activities to do around town and she was so welcoming and fun :) our room was pretty big and the cleaning crew did a great job every day. The view was amazing also and we were able to get some great food and drinks at the hotel bar/restaurant! There were a couple shops within walking distance to get groceries and the bus stop for downtown is right across the street. Overall I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable, chill stay in Cancun

Don’t even of think of going to this place. The rooms are old and dirty. No proper wifi. They should stop calling it a 3 star hotel. Worst experience in Cancún.

We stayed here in 2004 and sounds like it has not improved! Our first room had not been cleaned, pool was not in use. No snack bar. Restaurant was on the water, is it still there? Food was not great. Everything tasted like it was fried in old oil, would never return. Obviously!

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your resort. This web site will compare thousands of booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of my favorites in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely will love it I'm sure! It was an amazing hotel, familiar spaces, tasting food and great attendance, the staff was really good. I'll be back in few months to have fun a and funny moments.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Imperial Las Perlas over the Dia de Muertos holidays 2022. We had booked the "Habitación Superior", but the first night they put us in a "Habitación Estándar". When I showed them the printout of our reservation, they apologized profusely and moved us to the correct room the next day. The first room, 504, did have a feint mildew smell, but everything was clean. It would have been good enough if that had been what we paid for. The second room, 103, was very nice. It is one of four "deluxe" rooms facing onto the beach, each with its own private whirlpool. These rooms have a great view of the sunrise over the Caribbean. The bathroom has a spacious shower that can easily accommodate two! The furniture has seen better days, and one of the drawers was broken. But overall it was a nice room. Wifi worked in both rooms. We opted for the inclusive breakfast, but having never stayed at an all inclusive hotel before, we were surprised to learn we would have to wear a bracelet during the entire stay in order to get breakfast. The food was OK. But it was fun trying some mexican food that I would normally not associate with breakfast. The staff was great and encouraged our attempts at speaking Spanish. A few of them did speak English. Since we did not have the full inclusive package, we did pay for a few drinks at the bar. The restaurant and bar overlook the beach, so you can watch the tourists lining up for their excursions at the marina. There is a marina here, so the beach available to hotel guests is rather small. The closest restaurants are about a kilometer away, so we wound up walking, taking a cab, or taking the bus to other places for lunch and dinner. The buses run very frequently and cost 12 pesos. The drivers make change and are very helpful. I gave this hotel three stars because it is not a fancy place. It is a nice place. It is a good deal for the money. And we enjoyed being surrounded by Spanish speaking guests, and seeing the Dia de Muertos altars the hotel set up in the restaurant and in the lobby.

This is the most disgusting place ever. We were placed here cause our 5 star was OVERBOOKED, and it’s is far from everything and absolutely disgusting. I feel like I am in Juarez Mexico. And had the nerve to still charge us more than we paid for a 5 STAR RESORT!!! Do not book here !!!

After staying in hostels and super cheap hotels we thought we'd get something a little nicer, mostly so I could have good wifi for my online meeting. Come to find out they don't have wifi in the rooms. They only have it in the lobby or by the pool. I was shocked by this seeing as how I had fairly decent wifi in all of my previous CHEAPER hotels/hostels. Why should i expect LESS from a "higher end" place. The "kitchen" in the room was lacking a microwave/stove and fridge so I'm not sure what the point of it was. There was no security lock on the hotel door and for once I actually felt like I needed it. The vibe and customer service was definitely off here. I can't quite articulate it, but it's not a warm welcoming environment. The location is terrible as far as dining goes. 16 min walk to the nearest eatery or anything. The pics on the website are somewhat deceiving, you're hardly on the beach. It's a little tiny piece of beach next to a small boat harbor/dock. The room itself wasn't terrible, however, the chairs were stained and gross. Not a terrible place but overall you're better off spending your money elsewhere.

Do yourself a favor and dont come here. This is the nastiest hotel I've ever been to. The rooms are old, ths closets smell like pee, the shower doors don't close, the staff is very rude if you don't look white, the towels smell like sweat and look like rags, the beds are disgusting, the AC doesn't work, the TV never turned on, the food was decent and the buffet was very limited. The pool is very small, and the access to the beach is not the best (barely any sand of place to swim). The only reason I'm giving it 1 star is because of the location. You can get to the nightclubs and shopping centers by bus, about a 25 minute drive.

Great spot to stay. The locals use the Playa Las Perlas nearby. We got to watch so many tourist embark on sailing adventures to Isla Mujeres. Saw waves and waves of boats leaving

This hotel is pretty uncomfortable . The mattress is very firm, the building is old with a lot of patch work, outlets are in the weirdest places, the walls are thin and neighbors and noisy, there’s no elevator, the balcony door doesn’t seal so if it’s windy it makes whistle noises, no hot water in cloudy days due to solar heating reservoirs , roudy crowd. Staff is nice though . Food is like home cooked meals, which i like. Lots of Whole Foods

This looks like a drug rehab or flop house. If your on a tight budget and don't plan on doing anything other than sleeping and day drinking at the kiddy pool, then you will be fine.

3 Stars is too much for this place. Out of our two hotel rooms one had bed bugs. The all inclusive is extremely limited and sitting on the beach just gives you a view of a dock. The dock gets packing in the morning because Cancun sailing operates out of it

You get what you pay for. The property itself is very outdated and needs some serious TLC. Check-in isn't until 3 pm, but didn't let us check in until 4 pm. The first room we were assigned was just trash. The room was humid, dated, rust on all the plumbing and below the shower. Bed is ridiculously hard. They give you a remote for the tv, a remote for the ac and a card to rent towels for the pool area. All in which must be turned back in. You also have to request wash cloths because the rooms do not have them. The second room we had to pay a difference since it was "updated". The only real difference was the view of the ocean with all the boats to look at from the patio was improved instead of a safety hazard. The food was all buffet style and definitely a hit or miss. To say it was all-inclusive, it wasn't much of a selection, whether it was the food or liquor. The location is about 15 minutes from the mall. But take the Sea bus (red bus) to get around. Goes up and down the hotel strip for $1 USD. This is our 2nd time going. First time we stayed at IBEROSTAR which outside of the food, everything was amazing. This time, we got what we paid for.
