Amazing Resort! 💕 Perfect, relaxing, upscale and beautiful! The property is very spacious and not ever full so it’s so calm and relaxing. Beautiful night and day! The food there is absolutely amazing and affordable. Most importantly food is available 24/7 . The staff is super on point and amazing, don’t speak Spanish but there is someone to relate to if not or use your translator ofc. Room service comes 2-3 times per day I kid you not ! (LOVE THEM) so polite and efficient The property is not far from the all the lovely spots and it’s amazing ! Concierge will def help you if you need to go around town or on any excursions.

A small hotel with only a about 45 rooms and 4 floors. The rest are residential floors. The rooms are big and spacious. One thing that I found pleasantly surprising is that they do the room twice a day, once in the morning and once during the afternoon/evening. It is very close to a huge shopping mall so its a pretty convenient stay. One thing I was kinda disappointed by is that the swimming space in the sea is small. I was looking forward to swimming but had to settle for the pool instead. I went to the edge of what was permitted to swim and the water was up to my knees. You can borrow a kayak for free and a surf board even though there are no big waves. The hotel is pet friendly which might be off putting to some but perfectly fine for others. The food at the restaurant in the hotel was delicious, but I would not order the banana bread as it was dry. I would instead order the chilaquiles if you want to try Mexican food but can't handle spice as they were not spicy at all! A small detail worth mentioning is how comfortable the robes are. All in all the hotel staff are kind, and attentive. I'm only putting 4 stars instead of 5 because of the sea swimming space.

My stay at the SLS was average, nothing out of this world. I would say this is a typical five star hotel with five star amenities such as concierge and turn down services. The hotel is nicely situated on a private beach. The guest rooms are tastefully designed with modern touches. The on site restaurant has plenty of tasty food options as well. The spa was my worse experience while visiting and is the cause of the four star review. The spa is small and does not have many comfortable spa touches. One thing to note they have one robe size for both men and women. I wear a size US 10 and the robe barely closed on me. When I asked for a bigger size they inform me that robe was one size fits all. I also would like to mention that they allow guest not using spa services to use the spa pool which makes the spa pool less appealing and intimate for private moments. I would recommend this hotel to someone looking for a nice beachside view and also some entertainment as the hotel has a dj by the pool and on-site restaurant.

Very disappointed! This hotel has way too many issues. Start with the welcome treats. 2 people in a room 2 beds 2 of certain things and one of others such as bigger coffee cup. Then if you want to go to the pool, the best side is for residents only! At 7 pm the place is dead! No one to serve you outside. No jacuzzi outside and if it’s windy or a big chilly you have to be content with the semi warm pool. There is a precaution rope in the pool that I noticed the minute I arrived and I mentioned it to a staff member they said it was to separate the pool for residents or maybe construction. It made no sense. This rope made noise due to the wind and it was Impossible to sleep and relax. Don’t make the mistake yo stay here! For this price I’m sure there are better places around here. One star because the place is very pretty.

The WORST service EVER. The manager is a very bad rude person with the WORST TREATMENT to costumers, kitchen the worst trained people, extremely bad experience. I will Never stay at the SLS cancun again. Here is my breakfast that it was very bad done, I have to ask for it again and still…dirty room I have to ask to clean well, no water many stuff they offered as a complementary I have to ask, the worst two people is the manager and the valet. Do not waste your money there you can find many other and much better options in Cancun.

Although SLS is a well known hotel group DO NOT expect for the Cancun location to uphold those hospitality standards. My bathroom flooded every day. Maintenance was on my room half of my trip (even when I asked them to let me get dressed) and that General Manager Veronika will never contact you. On my very last day they finally offered to move my room but it took over two hours out of my last day and I missed the daytrip I had planned to Tulum. Did the staff seem apologetic? NO! They literally laughed in my face! No compensation whatsoever either. This was a really great hotel but apparently nothing works. Not worth the money. Go next door to the Renaissance. This isn’t even all of the issues I experienced. I saw bad reviews and ignored them but I wish I never did. Don’t make my mistake!

I am not exaggerating at all when I say this was THE ABSOLUTE *and I can't stress this enough* BEST hotel experience I have ever had in all my years. We came for my 30th birthday and they made it SO special my entire stay! The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous with amazing views, immaculately clean, and really great amenities! Their gym was on point! The best part in my opinion was the STAFF! They were all so amazing, personable, SO FUNNY, and SO nice, always willing to help and answer any questions with kindness. I literally almost got choked up saying bye when we left I literally felt like I was saying bye to my friends. Roberto, Myra, Rafa, Andy, the entire front desk, the entire restaurant staff (just to name a few), literally every single person there was amazing!!! Unfortunately, I don't remember all the names, I was drinking a lot of tequila, but you get the picture! And again they went ABOVE and BEYOND making my birthday feel special. Also, the restaurant was insanely delicious, I honestly can't believe breakfast was free with how delicious it was. Definitely not standard hotel food. Also, the room service was SPEEDY. I'm used to waiting an hour AT LEAST for room service, but I'm telling you everything here was ON POINT. It's definitely more lively during the weekends, but I feel that's the perfect balance for people who want to party but also have relaxation days. 100000/10, I will stay here again in the future!

Let me start off by saying I have never posted any kind of review on trip advisor or any off the other online review platforms. This place exceeded my expectations so much that I had to come on here and give it a review. I’m picky when it comes to hotels/resorts when my husband and I plan our trips & we have never stayed on this side of Cancun before so I didn’t know what to expect. (My family and I stayed in the hotel zone a couple years back when we went & there was too many people). BUT WOW!! We are so glad we picked the SLS CANCUN because not only was the location of the hotel perfect for us, the hotel is GORGEOUS, and the customer service is even better!! Top Notch service FOR SURE!! My husband and I are considering making this our annual trips from now on. It’s so much more private and exclusive, yet still a quick taxi ride to all the hot spots in Cancun. From the moment we got picked up from the airport to our departure, it was all amazing! This area of the hotel is called Puerto Cancun I believe and it’s all newly built with high rises, great shopping at walking distance & isla mujeres is right across the ocean from the hotel. It’s a quick 8 min drive to the ferry & a beautiful 20-25 min boat ride to the isla mujeres island. We could see the gorgeous color of the water from our balcony. I have to give a shout out to David, Andy, Roy, Daniel & Ana at SLS CANCUN. We love experiencing different hotels but this experience was far greater because we built friendships with the staff. Jaime server us the majority of the mornings for breakfast which was lovely & Arturo treated us to some beer & snacks during our stay. Noah made me probably the best cappuccino I have ever had. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE.

Food and cocktails where very bad. Oysters where not good and served with, I swear to god, soya sauce!!! Worst old fashioned I ever ordered in my life. Pool was nice, beach was clean, water was not super clean, lots of moss everywhere. The building is very close to the beach so we got almost no sun on the beach because of the shadow it made.

The hotel was fantastic! I want to give a massive shout out to Andy who was super attentive and kind to us the minute we arrived. We were greeted with margaritas and the interior of the place was stunning. It’s a calmer area and therefore, it’s quiet and relaxing.

Excelente hotel. I booked through amex fine hotels and seriously was pampered beyond belief. Came with a 150 dollar credit plus 30 dollar breakfast credit. Had steak and the most delicious breakfast. Room is gorgeous and everyone was nice. Highly recommend.

Did not ended up going as I had an emergency and within hours need it to change reservation or cancel. Hotel charged me $390.00 to make any changes and this is 9 hours after booking. Just that wants me to never even look at the hotel. Asked Leonel for supervisor see if. they could work something with me and he said that it was the fee. I understand there fees but I had an emergency where I was going to have to go alone so had to cancel. 0000 starts and will make sure to review for the next year

We loved our stay! The water wasn't as turquoise as in our previous hotel further south but it could've been due to currents at the time. The burgers at the restaurant are delicious and the evening service in the room is super convenient (they hang your wet swimsuits, dim your lights, bring new water bottles etc)

If you want to come stay at a hotel where they’ll be blasting music 24/7, even when you’re staying on the highest floor, have awful food, then this is the place for you! The last thing we want to do when trying to sleep is listing to the party music going on downstairs. When hosting parties in the lobby you have to wait over 20 minutes in your car to be let into the hotel. Definitely not worth it.

Brunch was ok. It was supposed to be "high end". I expected more for $80. Asked them to show me a room to return for a longer stay with my family. They literally laughed at me. Well here goes my business. 4 starts for the brunch. 0 for a hotel.

My wife Swarada had a bad experience at SLS Cancun. After checking out from the hotel, she realized there were some missing items- yellow slippers, Nike leggings, and an Under Armour jacket. I told her to call up reservations so she can coordinate to get back the items she had left in the room. She called up reservations but did not receive any help from them, they just mentioned that they did not find any items, while in reality she had left them in the room. In my opinion, this was completely unprofessional behavior, and I felt bad that my wife had to go through this kind of inconvenience during her stay. I will not again book a room in this hotel.

We stayed for 5 days and had an amazing time. The pool is pristine and cleaned everyday. The beach is private and there is never any crowd. The food at Leynia and Bungalow were excellent. This is a great hotel for travelers seeking peace and quiet. Also, the hotel is located inside a well protected upscale residential neighborhood. We recommend walking down from the hotel and trying the restaurants at the Puerto Cancun Mall. The Italian and Mediterranean restaurants are extraordinary. We will be returning to stay again.

This expensive “upscale” hotel has serious short comings. The hotel property and rooms are beautiful. We stayed here on Friday night (less than 24 hours) to relax and take showers before heading back to the states. We had 2 rooms (for us and one for our kids.). One of our sons took a shower and the entire room flooded and all of the suitcases and shoes were wet. I called housekeeping and it was clear that this happens and there is a drainage issue. After taking almost an hour to clean at night they assured me it wouldn’t happen again. Our son tried to take a shower in the morning before we had to leave and the room flooded again. While the rooms are gorgeous, a restful sleep is impossible because the doors slam and make a really loud noise so you can hear doors slam constantly throughout the night. At checkout, I asked to speak with a manager about was told she didn’t come in until later. They offered to take off $50 and I said that I shouldn’t have to pay for a room where we couldn’t use the shower and all of our items were wet. I also noticed extra charges on our bill and tried to discuss. We had to catch a plane so they ran my credit card and told me to contact the concierge via WhatsApp and that the manager would be in touch. I sent at least 3 messages and still haven’t heard back. See other reviews with similar feedback. Do not waste your money. SLS management, I’m waiting to hear back after multiple messages. Your front desk staff assured me that the manager would be in touch with me. I’m hoping that I will hear from you. Jill King

We stayed 1 week during new years, horrible service on beach almost every day , and no service on 31 or 1st on beach, we had to go to intercontinental with day pass , it was amazing service there. I probably not going to come back to sls, when you spent that kind of money you have expectations. Not in this place ,one day we use concierge service, after no one replied on WhatsApp for over 1 hr, we called front desk and called 2 more times to get what we need waited over 2 hrs.

I’ve stayed at various SLSand even been a resident in Miami. The sls in Cancun does not disappoint ! Service is amazing. I stayed in the deluxe ocean front king room which was beautiful . Also love how they are pet friendly and treated my dog very well. The restaurant downstairs has amazing breakfast and the waiters are very kind.

I had the most amazing experience! We only have the chance to stay for two nights, but we enjoy every moment. If you can, you should came on the weekend, there is a pool party on Saturdays and an amazing brunch on Sunday. I can't wait to return, everyone was extremely helpful

Still a fairly new property, great location with a good vibe during the day, great and clean rooms. Amazing restaurant with chefs and staff to serve that deserve a lot of praise. The only minus is for the front desk staff with no desire or, likely no mental capacity, to assist with anything.

This was an awesome place to stay for our last night in Mexico. The hotel staff were super nice, called us by our name which I though was a nice touch of the service of the place. The pool was by far one of the best pools for a hotel I have stayed at. The hotel is a high end accommodation with a relax vibe and very good music. The food we ordered was great, and the room was amazing. I have read some of the negative reviews and I honestly cannot find any relevance in them.

Great luxury hotel. Service is amazing. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Has a decent restaurant. The beach area is ok. I liked the pool area better. The rooms are large and luxurious with some great views. I liked the location away from the hotel zone. It's more of a chill area, not so much for partying if that's what you're looking for. Also a nice mall/shopping center a 15min walk away.

This is the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Mexico. The staff is so accommodating and friendly I feel like they think I’m a celebrity. Private. Quiet. Beautiful beach. Clean rooms. 24/7 room service. All around perfect

Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a 5 star experience. (Especially if you are apart of the Amex Platinum Fine Resorts and Hotel program). Outstanding service and room. My wife and I went here for our honeymoon and it exceeded our expectations. They made great accommodations as we were on our honeymoon and we booked through the Amex Platinum program. Here are a few things we really enjoyed: 1. The restaurant on site was amazing for every meal. The food and drinks were outstanding. 2. The pool and beach side service was great. Very friendly staff working hard. 3. The room with the ocean side view was perfect. They constantly restocked waters and cleaned the room while we were gone. Here are some points of improvement: 1. The Spa. My wife and I reserved the couples massage but were very surprised by what that actually entailed. They don’t tell you that you need to show up in swim attire because before you can even get the massage you have to do an hour of hydro-water activities. We had to go leave mid session to change because we didn’t know. Not a big deal. Just work on improving communication about what the massage service offers. 2. Water bottle refills. The hotel did a great job restocking the water in the rooms, but the bottles were extremely small. (Maybe 250ml). Thank you again to the hotel and staff for an amazing stay.

Wonderful experience, all staff are so friendly & attentive. Leonardo at reception was a delight, made me feel so safe & welcome like nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is new & gorgeous, very quiet if you want to chill and relax in heaven as it’s remote. Rooms have excellent attention to detail, the style is modern & spacious. Ocean view suite with views to die for. They provide turn down service while you eat dinner - food is also great quality. The little touches that make a difference are all there, I would stay again in a heartbeat & highly recommend to friends! Thank you to all the staff for making me so welcome even though I booked 20min before arrival. Really turned a bad day into a pleasant memorable experience. I will back.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are great, but the whole stay felt like an attempt to squeeze every penny out of us. The bills for every consumption in the hotel has a 15% “service fee” (tip) included. The bills also have a space in which you are asked if you want to give “additional tip”. To us it looked like a way to trick people to give a tip without knowing that the bill already included a 15% tip. Not coming back.
