Terrible experience! My family just booked a stay at D’Djabu Villas for 3 nights and it was honestly a terrible and unpleasant stay. No one was there at check-in and the reception was empty every day except for 1 hour. Rooms were not cleaned, there were no toilet paper and there were mold on the fabrics on the cushions and bed. There were construction next to the hotel which continued until 10pm every day, even though the guy at the reception (who showed up 1 hour per day and was not reachable by phone or WhatsApp) said the construction noise would end at 5pm but it didn’t. The WORST PART was that there was parties at the hotel EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! My family got NO sleep for the 3 nights stay. The manager didn’t reply when they called him to tell them about the parties and the reception was empty. The people partying didn’t respect other guests at the hotel and there was no consequences from the manager or owner as they were not there during my family’s stay. When we complained at check out (luckily the manger was there for 1 hour so we could check out) there was no apology, no offer to return the payment from a 3 nights terrible hotel stay for a family of 4 who didn’t get any sleep. No explanation as to why he didn’t pick up the phone or was at the reception. NOTHING. We kept complaining and my sister almost broke down due to no sleep for 3 days. He then promised to get back to us regarding a refund, but instead BLOCKED us on WhatsApp. We have NEVER experienced such an unprofessional service level! It is rare that we have such a bad experience like this, but we can NOT recommend this to anyone. Especially not someone who actually want to sleep. If they had compensated for the nightly parties and no sleep by offering a refund and also sincerely apologised for ruining the first part of a family’s holiday, then we could give them more stars. But this was just unprofessional on a hole different level. Blocking customers after promising them that you would get back to them regarding a refund is simply rude. 0 stars from us

I had a huge room with walk-in closet/desk are, big comfy bed, amazing balcony, huge bathroom, AC, ceiling fan,TV and good internet connection (you can work form here). There are multiple villas, and each villa has 3 such rooms only (so very intimate and secure) with a common fully equipped kitchen and big living room. Pools (there are 2 pools) view. The garden is impeccably maintained and full of places to lounge, the pools are clean and perfect to relax (you cannot swim in the ocean). Quite and private location, even if it is in the heart of Canggu . Location: 2 minutes stroll to the beach, the bars and restaurants are all around the entrance of the hotel.

Spacious room, beautiful garden view from our room, good bed and nice bathroom. Friendly staff, two big swimming pools and hotel well located. Check-out at 12h, which is really nice. The only negative points are : no breakfast options (but plenty of breakfast restaurants around), no mosquito net in the room (we brought ours), walls of the room worn.

The grounds are nice and it’s close to beach but the service is lacking and rooms aren’t that clean. Had a room on top floor and bugs came in through the ceiling all night. They had to come spray some chemical bug spray while we waited outside the room for the smell to clear. Woke up and the room smelled like cigarettes so I’m left with a not so great feeling. Bali has so much more to offer!

Loved the pool. Bed was a bit soft. Air conditioning not working properly but high ceilings were welcome feature, no breakfast option. WiFi intermittently working. Gecko lizards in the room but I don't mind that given that they feast on pesky mosquitoes. They do poo all over the place which is not ideal.

The location is great. The pools were fantastic. The staff were good. The room was a bit underwhelming and the the timber floors were very slippery like they had just been coated in some products but not cleaned off. Dangerous and not nice to walk on.

We visited our patient here, and found that this villa provides a relaxing ambiance perfect for a holiday getaway. This villa's strategic location in Canggu easily facilitates access to various attractions such as Eco Beach, various restaurants sprinkled around Canggu Shortcut, and beautiful rice terraces. Additionally, a sizeable supermarket is nearby, adding to the convenience. The villa also presents a spacious swimming pool, a wonderful place to spend time with family. Rooms at this villa are generously spaced. The room we visited had a wooden floor, which added a unique appeal. However, while walking, we noticed some spots on the floor making a sound as if the wood was not quite firmly attached. Perhaps, this is an artistic choice to give character to the room – just a unique preference notice regarding the floor. Overall, the design of the room is quite pleasant, making this villa an attractive choice for those visiting Canggu.

Came here with my boyfriend and we really loved the pools and how close the hotel was to the beach. However, what was a major downside is that we had to change rooms. First, due to bugs coming in and mosquitos biting us all night (since the ceiling is open and no mosquito net). Second, because of severe mold smell in the bathroom (unbearable to be for long in the room and the staff didn’t do anything to try to fix it). The third and final room was mostly okay but we had to tape over holes by the doors for example so bugs and mosquitos wouldn’t get in. Other than that, the staff were chill and nice but overall, the place would be so much better if it would be more clean (like the shared space and kitchen on the first floor) and the rooms themselves. If they would fix these problems, we would definitely stay there again.

Shared kitchen with fridge. Room has very comfortable bed but no fridge and no coffee. Very high roof in room and air conditioning inadequate during the day when hot.

Good hotel our first night was in the room at second floor that was not a good night the air conditioning didn't handle the room so the room was very hot. But the day after they moved us to a room at first floor and that was much better. We like the stay here. Good location nice staff.

This place was incredible and could stand to use a bit more advertising. It was absolutely gorgeous with two pools that were surprisingly deep. About a minute walk from the beach. So quiet. Two problems I had were the shower wouldn't drain and on my last day staying there my entire room reeked of sulfur and they sprayed a perfume over it to try and conceal it. I was there four days and would gladly book again, except I'd probably choose a different room.

Great pool, lovely staff and well presented. The AC was too small for the room and we couldn't sleep, the AC didn't reach the study nook and when we'd just got to sleep at 4.30am someone decided to go for a swim right outside our room. For the price we weren't that impressed and stayed at Rama Village the following evening for 2/3 $$ and a better experience

Run away!!! No isolation at all. We were waken up by the motorcycles riding. The swimming pool is supposed to close in early evening. However, drunk people use it often around 3 am and the staff do not say anything. Impossible to sleep. The wifi is NOT working well. One day is working, the next day, not working. Impossible to work online. NO HOT WATER in the room. We asked them during 3 weeks to do something, but NOTHING WAS DONE. Staff is not capable to take care of the needs of the clients. They don’t care!!!! 1 month does not value 9 million at all!!!!

Very nice, clean and spacious room! Friendly staff and also two nice pools. Our favorite thing was the soft bed, it is the best bed we have had in Bali so far. Would recommend!

The hotel is great, spacious rooms and a nice garden area with two pools. The ambient is gorgeous and it‘s very quite at night. There are many restaurants around and it’s only a couple of minutes away from the beach.

A modern, clean and wonderful stay. We spend our first two nights of our honeymoon there and it couldn't be more relaxing. It was only a few minutes away from the old man's bar, so if you want to party you can just walk there. The hotel by itself was really quiet, so we could cure our jetlag without any problems. Would come back everytime😊

The hotel consists of several buildings, each with an own living area with a fully equipped kitchen where they provide free water, coffee and tea. Breakfast is not included but there are plenty of good restaurants in walking distance. The pools are amazing, large enough for swimming and very clean. Some rooms have direct access to the pool which in my opinion is a huge plus. Beds are comfy, AC works very well. Bathroom is ok with more or less superficial cleanliness. Good choice of amenities like tooth brush, shampoo, shower gel an conditioner. Unfortunately there is no hairdryer available in the room. Shower heads definitely need a decalcification. All in all we had a wonderful two nights stay in Canggu.

Lovely place in the heart of Canggu and a few minutes walk from the beach. There is construction next to it and a high building hotel next to so it can get a bit noisy

We really enjoyed our stay here, the rooms were spacious, clean, and with a beautiful bathroom. We loved the two pools outside and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The best thing was the location as it was almost next to the beach and located in the main street Batu Bolong with many shops and restaurants around. Would definetly come back here!

Djabu Villas Canggu was my home for a 5 months stay August - December 2022. I am very happy with the location and quality of the Hotel. Staff pays attention, air-cons in the Lounges we replaced. A great feature is the lounge with a kitchen although shared between 3 rooms still very good option if you want to cook or chill out with friends. 2 amazing pools is a plus. Very close to batu bolong surf beach- always walked with a surfboard, no bike needed. Internet is not great unfortunately but I heard it will be upgraded in 2023. Thanks a lot to all staff for your hard work and taking care of guests. Bad reviews here I suppose probably for higher expectations. Property is 3 stars. and the rate is not 200 AUD per night.

Best thing about D'Djabu in Canggu is the location - perfectly walkable to the beach (5-7 min) and to "central" Canggu more north / inland along Batu Bolong street. Batu Bolong beach is a pretty, black sand beach with good beginner and advanced surfing right there and tons of surf rental stalls and beach bars. There are a lot of great shops and restaurants nearby including the beach cafes like Old Man's and Seaweed and more refined dining like Billy Ho and Mason and tons of little boutiques selling surf-style beach clothes. We were upgraded to an upstairs room (203) with a sea view. The room itself was very nice, though the AC is underpowered for the room (high ceilings etc) and it never got below 24-25C or so in our room. Overall the noise level was low, except for revving motorcycles in the street and construction next door - see below. The service was a little impersonal and we ended up making bookings for trips (Uluwatu/GWK/Jimbaran day trip) through the Aston as the front desk staff either weren't available to do so or didn't have info Important note: as of October 2019 there is what appears to be a massive construction project going on two lots south (toward the beach). From a noise standpoint this wasn't a big problem - the workers are actually quite quiet working on the foundation - but as the project progresses it might be very very noisy and if it's a tall building it will likely obliterate D'Djabus ocean view.

Had an extremely poor expiration in this place, the worst I've seen so far while traveling in Bali. The benefits: - great location that's close to the beach Downsides: - Stafff availability: even though they claim 24-hr reception, barely anyone is there especially in the evening. I had to run around the hotel for 30 minutes to find someone to check in late at night. They left a WhatsApp number at the front desk, saying that it needs to be called if no one is there, but no one is picking up as it's connected to the phone...which is on the table of the front desk. - Poor air conditioner: super tiny for the size of the room so the room always stays quite hot, making it hard to escape the heat during the day or sleep during night. - The noise: right next to it is a construction site so those folks are drilling and doing concrete works starting early morning till the dawn. - Water interruptions: had issues with water stopping to run in the middle of the day - no shower or flushing the toilet 😳 - Communication with staff: employees are barely understanding English so any special requests (asking to move in my luggage to the room once it's ready or request for a late check out) are simply ignored. Also, the phone wasn't working in the room, so no connection with the staff in case if you need anything. Overall, wouldn't recommend - the price isn't worth a horrible experience.

Great value for money. Nice location in Canggu area close to cafes, beaches, beach club. Staff friendly and supportive. They helped us renting a scooter and for a late check out. Swimming pool is bigger than the average you can find. Quite place but close to everything. We booked here twice.

😠 The worst stay in Bali. Villa is nice but very old, dirty and smelly. You definitely wouldn’t want to stay in this place.
