Very lekker indian food. I had a palak paneer and for some reason it was very light and fragrant. Other than others. Very special. Came already 3 times back to have it again.

Had a quick visit to the Punjab in Stellenbosch for bite to eat for lunch and wasn't dissapointed by the quality of the food which was excellent. Unfortunately there was some work going on in the restaurant which meant a slightly noisy atmosphere. The service was excellent and food good value as well as being delicious. I will definitely visit again, probably in the evening to sample the outside seating area.

We visited Punjab on a Friday night. They were very busy, but had a table to spare for us. We ordered lamb curry, but they ran out of lamb (at 18h00) and we had to order chicken corma. The chicken was well prepared and the garlic naam bread was very tasty. The service was ok.I love the interior decorating and the history of how Punjab came about in the front of their menu. I would have given them a better rating, if they had lamb.

So delicious. So many different options. Never have i had so many different vegetarian options to choose from. And very pleased with my choice of paneer based curry. Im not very good with alot of spice/ heat so the mild option was just perfect for me. I also had the cheese naan as a started and i was so full after. The portions are plenty to fill a hungry tummy.

Food was well presented, good sized portions, fresh, packed with flavour and very authentic. Ill definitely return sooner that later.

Delicious, authentic Indian cuisine and diverse selection to choose from. Be prepared to be humbled if you think you can handle "hot"! And if you do go for it, get the mango lassi - delicious yoghurt drink to soothe the burn! Keep in mind the menu is more expensive than average, with big portions to make up for it

It was my first time at Punjab in Stellenbosch and i was impressed with the standard of the food . Proper North Indian Cuisine , Deep Aromatic flavours , Delicious and very well prepared Curries , with tender pieces of chicken . Prices are fair and either rice or roti is included in the price of the Curry. They definiteky know what they are doing and I definitely would go back and try out the rest of the menu items in future and the Carrot Halwa . 'Curry' on with the great work !!!

I felt the food was “dry” usually you have more gravy. I found my mild dish very spicy and needed yogurt to calm it down. Also had a runny tummy the next morning from the food I ate here. Our waiter was good the first 5min thereafter he was more interested in his phone than in the guests. Was going to order dessert but he practically abandoned us.

Great quality food as always. I would just recommend they get more waiters/help. Always prepare for a long wait in busy times (when eating in too). From placing order to getting food took 1h15min.

Really enjoyed our lunch time meal here. Have been to Rajasthan & India a few times and Panneer Butter Masala is my favourite. I was so excited when I saw it on the menu - taste did not disappoint! We also tried the starters and was blown away by all the awesome flavours and spices. 5 stars! Def going to be stopping here more often.

Great Indian food tucked away in a boring shopping center. Walk past all the other restaurants and eat here. The menu is big and hot means hot. There are plenty of great vegetarian and vegan options and they have a liquor license.

Best Indian Food ever!! The food is just next level. Like best meal ever for anyone. Especially if you want authentic Indian curry or just Indian food. Plus the interior is stunning.

Well, well...what can I say when a waitress serves you with ear muffs on, dumps the menus on the table and walks off? You just ĶNOW something is going to go wrong...and it did!! The only thing that saved this experience was the fact that the sauce was spot on. The rest I don't even care to explain. What a pity as at one stage this was actually my favourite Indian restaurant. I cant help wondering what has changed for a restaurant to care so little?!

This is the greatest Indian Curry experience. Treat yourself to a wonderful evening in the restaurant where food come perfectly prepared and delicious! They have great fish curry options that are mouthwateringly good. Love love love Punjab!!

A wonderful Indian cuisine restaurant, with a casual yet warm ambience. The food is utterly fantastic with a variety of options to choose from as well as the “hotness” level to suit all tastes. Prices are reasonable and portions are fair sized, with all the added extras a single curry is enough for 2 medium appetites. Definitely the best Indian restaurant in Stellenbosch and a must visit !

I am extremely disappointed in the food and the mango lassi. The mango lassi just tasted like yoghurt, not enough mango, but this I could still overlook. The chicken korma was very disappointing. I ordered medium. It was bland and completely lacking flavour. It was like eating boiled chicken in a tasteless sauce. The rice was also not pleasant. I couldn't eat it my food. I kept waiting for the flavour, which never arrived.

Wow! This is a lovely must stop for anyone looking for a break from the same-old Italian & seafood menus in all of the garden route. Not only was the food absolutely delicious for both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, but the service was impeccable. Of all the fancy restaurants we’ve been to, we were seated served and attended to with more attention and care than others. Roti is bad. Roti not cooked and doughy. Carrots are large chunky size not chopped nicely. Onions are large pieces not cooked down. Does not deserve to be called curry roti. Threw half away and I was starving…..

Nice food. But standard rice without a substitute is not good value for money. A side of salad should be recommended by staff.

We love coming here as a family and have been loyal Punjab visitors for some time. The food is consistently great and the waiters always lovely. The menu is wide and varied and you cannot go wrong, even with the vegetarian dishes!

Love their food, especially the wraps its a different way to eat your favorite butter chicken or lamb curry. The wraps are always filled to the brim and I know I'm getting my money's worth when I order from here. The atmosphere is great and the service hasn't left me disappointed yet. Definitely recommended if your looking for a place to eat in or around Stellenbosch.

Best Indian cuisine I have ever experienced in South Africa. Highly recommended.

Staff was friendly and accommodating to our group size and quickly helped arrange seating for us. Food was delicious and didn't take very long to arrive. Their chocolate milkshakes is a definite recommendation from me.

Looked a little run down but the food was excellent. We were a party of 5 and all enjoyed their respective meals. Service was a bit slow, especially when it got busy.
