The first problem - we were charged copperto of 5 euros per person. Another problem is the excessively high prices of drinks: juices, beer - 8 euros each. The third problem is that we had the wrong pizza, but we didn't complain because we were too hungry. Good thing - the pizzas are ok.
Our favourite Caffee in Como ! This is a super spot and a really nice to place to either have a drink or a meal. It is a bit expensive but really nice and is populated by the whole Como Jet Set. Really worth a visit!
Nice view of the cathedral. But food is overpriced and average, service is slow. 🥲 Better to explore other cafés nearby.
Great outdoor heated covered patio in front of the Duomo, good food & service.
Very nice atmosphere and ambience. Outdoor seating is very nice in front of the cathedral. Their cappuccino is good and their service is friendly. Food however is average at best. We shared 3 different pizzas; Lugano, Emiliana and Al 4 Formaggia. The al 4 formaggia was the best out of all 3, but still not as you would anticipate. The pizza dough was good; 8/10, but the toppings are 5/10 at most. They also overcharge for the silverware; $6/ person, which is ridiculous!
Good food, large portions. The calzone was larger than I expected based on my experience in other places. I also had lasagna, it was really nice. Most of the days you will also have live music as well.
It’s heavily raining on Wednesday evenings plenty of space outside and inside. Very generous with food portions but stingy on wine measure
Great lunch spot right in front of the Duomo. Cheeseburger and Pizzas were great! My wife got the salmon blt sandwhich (just warning you it's not cooked salmon). Pizza #133 tasted amazing! One other warning if sitting outside, beware of the birds. Twice birds descended down and landed on our food, yikes!
Arrived in Como at 10:30 on a Monday night, hoping to find a restaurant still serving food. Walked to Piazza Duomo and found this wonderful place, drawn to the pretty outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the Duomo. The place was closing but we were welcomed with kindest servers and staff. Had cocktails, pizza, lasagna Bolognese and spaghetti carbonara. The pizza and lasagna were both delicious, the carbonara a bit too eggy for our liking. We were never rushed though it was very late. We left at midnight with cocktails to-go, and the wonderful staff even made us a bag of ice to take to our apartment. Cannot say enough about the service, it was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend this fabulous ristorante with a great view, very good food, and the kindest staff!
Pizza quattro stagioni più gorgonzola e salsiccia buonissima. Anche il tartare di manzo molto buono. Prezzi alti ma forse per la posizione di fronte al duomo! Anche il coperto di 5 euro mi sembra alto.
pros: great view. the food is quite good cons: the drinks are expensive (coke for 8€ & water 7€). expensive coperto 5€ with a very bad service. I want to take away my pizza because it's big, so I asked the box for the waiter, but the waiter then just served other tables for a long time. I waited for a long time and asked again for the box. Then he took my pizza to wrap it, but he looked at my pizza with a really weird face. When he gave it back to me, he was super rude, I said thank you, but he just went away.
Such a nice place with great vibes! The food was super delicious — especially the Margherita pizza and the linguine with lobster and shrimp, both were amazing 😋 The atmosphere is lovely and the location is perfect. Big thanks to Hassan for his kindness and great service — he was really helpful and friendly. Totally recommend this restaurant!
Nice coffee, solid ice cream, good services, but not too good pizza, good view, near big cathedral.
The view is spectacular as it is in front of Duomo di Como. Service was friendly. Beware of the spaghetti vongole as it was good but very gritty as the clams are not as thoroughly expelled of it's sand as other places.
Do not recommend. Stopped to get a glass of wine and small snack. I have food allergies so ordered guacamole with tortilla chips to be safe, and got something that honestly had no clue what it was. (See photo). I waved down and asked the waiter and he didn’t even know because they buy it from a supplier. The staff was not very attentive either other than to quickly take your order.
Delicious pizza and tiramisu, the team is really giving their whole energy on serving. A loud but nice place ❤️
Was okay can’t say anything wonderful or terrible, we were seated quickly and the food came out exceptionally fast, it wasn’t anything special for the price though, we expected it to be a lot but €16 for two coke’s was a lot and the €10 service charge was a little cheeky considering the service was not the most amazing I’ve ever experienced. The food was okay, tasteful enough. We repeatedly got mixed up with the table beside us which was a little jarring, we received their bill which was considerably more expensive so good job we checked before paying !
Nice location, bad service. Very chaotic waiters who were making rude remarks about guests thinking they dont understand italian. They brought us 2 pizzas after a long wait and no plates. We had to ask for plates and wait forever to get them. Then again 15 min wait for the bill. 2 medioker pizzas, one sprits one cola- 65e. Shame
One of the worst places I’ve ever been to. The pizza, although very large, was mediocre in taste and extremely salty. On top of that, the price was absolutely outrageous, with an absurdly high coperto of €6 per dish. The service wasn’t the friendliest; although efficient, we had to wait a very long time both for the bill and again for the card terminal to be prepared. Overall, I do not recommend this place and advise staying as far away as possible from this tourist trap.
The food experience was amazing 🤩 place and view 5 stars. Only with service I have been a little bit disappointed. The waitress brought 3 meals first and another few minutes we have been waiting for another main course (pizza), no questions about our food if is everything ok, so just small things but all together my experience was very good. I can recommend.
Avoid this place at all costs. One of the worst dining experiences I have had in Italy. We stopped by thinking, wow, what a great outdoor restaurant right by the Duomo. I should have known something was off when only one other table was occupied, but I was hungry, so we sat down. Our waiter was straight up rude. He didn’t care about anything, took our order loosely, and asked me three times what pasta I wanted even though I clearly said it three times. He wouldn’t even make eye contact with us, just glared out into the street looking for people or staring at passersby instead of paying attention to his only guests. The appetizer arrived, and it was awful: bruschetta served on stale, untoasted bread with diced tomatoes and olive oil simply thrown on top. Still, we decided to give the place a chance. After 40 minutes, still no entrees. We had a tour planned, and at this point frustration set in. Having been abroad for a month, we had never encountered service this bad. We politely asked if we could cancel the entrees so we could leave, but instead of being accommodating, the waiter mocked us, saying: “I know back home you are used to getting everything at the same time, but that’s not how it works here.” Not only was this belittling, he then proceeded to “explain” to us how dining works in Italy, that appetizers come before entrees, as if we were children who had never eaten at a restaurant before. It was condescending, unnecessary, and completely disrespectful. We asked at least five times if we could simply pay for what we had and go. His response? “I’m not eating your pasta, so no, you can’t leave.” The lack of professionalism was astonishing. When the pasta finally arrived, it was undercooked, flavorless, and served in a pan. Throughout the entire time, we were the only guests in the restaurant. Instead of serving us properly, the waiter spent his time standing out front, hitting on women and trying to lure passersby inside. This was unprofessional, inappropriate, and downright rude. The young man working here needs to seek out employment elsewhere because hospitality is clearly not for him. To top it all off, the food was mediocre at best. A truly awful experience and an embarrassment to Como
We didn't get what we ordered and had to wait for the bill more than 20 minutes. Also, 8 euros for a soda drink? A bit too much if you ask me...
The service in the cafe was terrible, first we asked to move the Aperol without ice, the waiter brought us Aperol with a lot of ice and started to talk, all the food was terrible, especially the pizza with truffle in the photo, I do not recommend this place, so only one star 👎
