Absolutely love this restaurant. Great food and excellent service. Full of atmosphere, interesting and different in its decor. We had the lunchtime set menu which offers two choices of starter and main with lots of desserts to choose from, including wine....all for around €16. Or you could splash the cash for the à là carte. I have been there twice. Enormous the food quantity and quality. Don't go there if you are on diet, you would like to eat all as it is good. Enjoy.

As usual, this is great place for classic French country food. This is the quintessential French experience. Went with a group of 9 and this meant being seated on the lower level where the acoustics are not optimal for conversation. However we were joined by a group of French ladies from a local fitness gum. Towards the end of lunch, they broke out into French songs and we loved it so much we Joined in with choruses of Waltzing Matilda that were well received by all in the restaurant. Staff are very welcoming, food is always delicious and the ambiance is beyond wonderful. Thank you.11

Easily the best roasted pork (it was iberian pork) we have had in a long time. The service is fast, the portions big and the number of tables large. The daily menu is worth the price (3cours coffee and wine). You can sit inside or outside. Only turn-off for me is that outside (under a roof) people were aloud to smoke. So while we were eating people close to us were smoking. Not very pleasant.

Prices which cater for every pocket, from 18e to 52e per menu. There are actually about 5 different ones. All of them are absolutely amazing. It's definitely been one of the most exquisite and gourmand culinary experiences of my life, and I've had quite a few now. Also, the service is extremely friendly, helpful and polite. Btw, make sure you're hungry since the name of the place lives up to what it offers! I could barely walk after I'd finished dining. If you have time, also go for a walk around the ground. You rarely come across such a bucolic countryside.

Excellent restaurant and always popular so work booking a table in advance. It's located a short drive outside of Limoux so definitely a destination restaurant and not one you would walk to. The place is located on a hillside and is much like an old manor house. We dined outside under a large covered terrace with views over the country side. As for the food, its unique in that you would call "country" style. Huge portions of various meat and veg dishes based on what is in season. Make sure you go with a large appetite as we were unable to consume all that came with our fixed price meal. Well worth a visit if you want a change from the usual fare offered by tourist restaurants. Kids can run about in the grounds once they have been fed. Recommend.

Brilliant, if you want a proper French restaurant with sensational food and you're very hungry what a find. We've eaten there many times 30€ a head menu. We always come out stuffed, happy, smiling and laughing. It's where the French go if they want the best. The staff are lovely, English is minimal that suits me
