Great chill place with friendly people. Highly attentive staff with a good attitude. Food was simple but good quality and well prepared. Prices are very reasonable (10-15£ each). Would definetely recommend visiting

Gyros platter with chips and salad, halloumi wrap and galaktoboureko. The gyro was really well cooked with oil from the fat gone and so crispy and delicious.

This was our first visit, and the welcome and food was fantastic, a really nice place to sit and relax with a great atmosphere, will definitely make the Hellenic a regular place to be.

Attended this family run restaurant last Friday for my daughter's Graduation meal. It was my first visit. On arrival the place was empty, was this an ominous sign. No. Within ten minutes the place was packed. A fantastic selection on the menu. Great portions at reasonable prices. Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. I will be going back. What a find.

Had a really great lunch here with a client. Food was really tasty and well prepared, and a decent portion size which represented value for money. Staff were approachable and welcoming as we dropped in unannounced through lunch service. The interior just about manages to limbo underneath the bar of stereotype. The restaurant having a very open, light and immaculately clean, crisp dining room was very pleasant.

Hellenic Eatery clearly captures the Greek cuisine. We have been on a number of occasions and every time the whole experience, from warm, friendly service to highly delicious food gets better and better. The flavours are totally unique and beautifully prepared. May I recommend the best home made Mousakka you will ever taste. We enjoyed this restaurant very much. Super friendly staff. My wrap was sooooo tasty, and my son loves his chicken skewers. We will definitely be visiting in the next few weeks again.

Favourite restaurant in Cardiff. The food is authentic and delicious and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The beans and dips are delicious, as well as their signature souvlaki. I graduated from Cardiff Uni in 2020 but due to covid my graduation ceremonies were rescheduled to 2022, I can't wait to have my celebratory dinner here with all my family!

Great food here. Everyone is Greek and this is where you will get proper authentic Greek food. Good quality and very friendly. Definitely go back there again. My family loves it there. I pigged out on the meat platter for two totally for myself but it didn't cost much. Just as well I had been dieting and walked from the center of town beforehand. If you are Greek and feeling homesick this is the place to go as it's just like your local back home but with a quality choice of music (none of that tourist rubbish).

If you want fresh authentic Greek food, this is the place to come. The staff are brilliant and always go beyond. The service is good, prices are very reasonable and massive portion sizes. The owner is always on site, and most of the staff are family and friends, which makes the atmosphere friendly. The restaurant is well worth a visit....booking is a must at weekends as its very busy.

We've been coming here for about 5 years, both before we married and now with our young children. We've always had a happy time there. We really enjoy the food and we find it reasonably priced. The service is exceptionally friendly and it's obviously very popular as it's always been busy when we visited. We hope they stay in business for a long time and keep doing the same thing as we enjoy how reliably good it is there ⭐

Lovely atmosphere . Lovely good . I wwnt for something that I felt I'd enjoy . Amd I did so..I had the gyros meal . Meat and veg in pitra type breads ..only thing I wish I ordered with it was a dip ..other means had dips . I'm unsure why this 1 didn't. Maybe as it was skewer type.. Decent amount I was full . Pints very reasonable compared to other venues. Thanks

We had booked a table for 6 people but 2 of our party had cancelled at short notice. We arrived a few minutes late and explained. No problem, they just readjusted our table and we were seated immediately. The staff and management at The Hellenic are so relaxed and welcoming, it's more like going round your Mum's for dinner than eating out! The food is as good too, possibly even better. (I don't know about yours, but my Mum wasn't so good at moussaka...) The atmosphere was buzzing, the staff were efficient and the food superb. After our meal, we were chatting and out of the blue, a large plate of desserts and 4 forks appeared. We looked over and the owner smiled and gave us the thumbs up. What a kind gesture. The desserts were absolutely delicious too! The clientele look like they were all regulars and I can see why. They gained 4 new regulars tonight 👍

My partner and I ate here this evening and it was a lovely experience. I forgot to take photos but our food was delicious and we shared a dessert. We were made to feel very welcome by the staff. Our waitress was a friendly young lady who made our experience more enjoyable. I would recommend eating here and we will definitely be coming again. Thank you 🙏

Unfortunately not a great experience, saw the reviews on the place and really wanted to try it so I came here with a friend a few weeks ago on a Friday so we expected it to be a little lively of course, but I had to shout so my friend could hear me. The food was ok and came out fast but it was incorrect (didn’t mention it as we didn’t want to be picky). The staff were a little off with us for some reason, when we walked in we had to go over to the counter/kitchen to talk to someone to get a table, but we noticed everyone else being greeted instantly. A lot were having a friendly chat with the guests throughout their service too but they didn’t speak to us except when we paid the bill and I they were blunt… it made us feel awkward so we quickly ate and left

If I had to pick just one place in Cardiff, it'd be The Hellenic Eatery. Friendliest staff, most tasteful food and brilliant prices. You really can't do better than that. Their feta cheese covered in honey and sesame seeds is stunning. Well I have tried a lot of their food and it never ever disappointed me. Hands down to the best place. ❤️

My son chose this restaurant when we dropped him off to uni. Very friendly staff and the food was amazing! Well priced too, wraps for £4.50 and mains starting from about £9. Best gyros I've ever had, also recommend the galaktobourikas (? Can't spell it!) for dessert. Worth booking ahead as it got quite busy and with good reason. My son will definitely be back during his time at uni!

Probably one of my new favourite restaurants. Gyros meat is absolutely top tier as are the pork skewers, chips are bangin, staff are lovely, and that 6-syllable dessert that I can't pronounce (galaktoboureko? I attached a photo) is insanely good
