👍 Stunning little country pub in the heart of Marshfield. Beautiful interior, nice menu with plenty to choose from. Lovely beer garden with facilities for the kids . Had the chicken tikka masala, it came with half rice and half chips with popudum pieces . If you fancy a drive out into the country... My partner and I had been camping for the week down the road and on our last night we finally ate out. I am annoyingly gluten, dairy and oat free (annoying for cooks/chefs and myself) we called ahead before booking to make sure there would be something suitable and there was. I LOVE steak. My partner and I both had the 12oz rump and both were cooked to absolute perfection even the chips were fantastic, crispy on the outside soft and fluffy on the inside just how they should be. If I'd had space in my belly to eat it again straight away I would've ordered another but we were both stuffed. Excellent food, lovely staff, great service and on a really busy night as well. Will defenatly be making a detour next time we visit South Wales.

Too busy eating so didn’t take pictures of the food But got a couple videos to show. We had chicken skewers, anti pesto board, fish n chips, jacket potato, Philly steak to mention a few and had no complaints! We went to days in a row, compliments to the chef and staff! Nice friendly, quiet place with lovely outside seating area

A wonderful place to stay with your four legged friends 🐕 super friendly welcome and service. Fantastic location for walking to Harlech beach or touring the North West Coast. Delicious freshly prepared food. My favourites include the curry and the steak. Just a word of advice, you need to book to eat in the restaurant.

Called in for Sunday lunch, so glad we did, probably one of the tastiest we've had in a pub. Great looking menu although haven't sampled the other food yet. They also serve the full menu on a Sunday, not just the roast dinners.

Visited recently for a Sunday Roast and was not disappointed! Fantastic service and atmosphere as ever, and the food was brilliant. A whole roast chicken for two, with all of the sides and trimmings, deliciously and quickly cooked. Fantastic value for money too! We will definitely be coming again!

Only popped in for a pint, so I don't know much about the place. The menu looks good and interior is nice, also a large outside patio/ dining area.

The Y Maerun is one of those local pubs that just gets everything right. A warm welcome with every visit from all the staff. It’s now become our regular local, as the staff are attentive, friendly and up for a friendly bit of banter. The food is consistent excellent and very good value for money. I love the chicken fajitas as they come on a sizzling cast iron tray with a heap full of bell peppers, onion, and melt in the mouth chicken breast chunks with Cajun seasoning to die for! Tonight the cook Callum made a special vindaloo curry that was hot but not crazy hot and warmed up all the senses. One of the best I’ve ever tasted. I cannot recommend this country pub enough. They have regular live bands, special meals and evenings where the place is buzzing with locals and visitors having a great time. The Sunday roasts are cooked with love and taste like ya mum made it! I’m a fan as you can tell, because having a friendly local with consistently excellent food and service is something to shout about, well done to the whole team!

Fabulous Sunday lunch, whole chicken, stuffing, roasties, pigs in blankets, parsnips, new potatoes, broccoli, carrots and cabbage, gravy for £24. Dessert chocolate orange torte, scrumptious. Proper old school home made cooked food. Great friendly service, like a pub should be in my eyes. Everyone treated equally. This will be a regular, not many pubs like this any more. Definitely worth a visit for weekday now too!! Home from home.

First time visiting Saturday lunch time enjoyed the visit. Food was okay nice beers. One Negative thing the chief should make home made chips would make a big difference. Nice friendly staff.

Very Welcoming and Friendly There was a big group of us visit including lots of children and they could not be more helpful, they also made a fuss of the birthday involved. Highly recommend a visit. Fantastic for all ages even have a small farm area and park for the children to enjoy.

We were just having a drive about had been to the lighthouse and just took the road to y Maerun by mistake. We stopped as it Was lunchtime wow what a lucky mistake we made, we had salmon bruschetta delicious, presentation was perfect. I had cod husband had chicken skewer a piece of art in itself, both were well presented, staff were friendly and attentive but were not over the top. Only one tiny moan is the table was slightly tacky this was from not being dried properly after being sprayed when being cleaned.

Three of us called in having pre booked lunch. Met by a smiling Alys (assuming it was Alys, as that was the name on the bill) who showed us to our table. Drinks were ordered and arrived very quickly. Two of us had the skewers which looked more like an art installation than a meal so beautifully were they presented. They were also delicious. Desserts were just as tasty with plenty of choice all brought by a permanently smiley and very pleasant Alys, despite it seeming as though she was the only one serving. The chips could have been a bit longer cooked but that's a minor detail. We will definitely return here. Thank you.

I took my mum here for lunch and the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The only thing that I would critic is it is pricey. Thanks for a wonderful time

A regular with the family and is in close proximity to my sisters which makes it convenient. This occasion was my mother's wake where we had a great attendance. The pub can accommodate a good crowd of people and we had some finger food laid on. Not a great reason to be in the pub but a great pub to have it in.
