Always quality but produce range, for men especially, is very limited and old fashioned in my opinion.

Appears exceptionally clean and bright. Good quality clothing and a large food hall. Everything is well spaced out which would be great for wheel chair users but could be better stocked. Counter staff friendly but too pushy promoting the M&S credit card.

Called into M&S Carlisle today for a quick coffee. One of the least salubrious of M&S in store cafes I have visited, an establishment I would avoid just for that reason and that there are plenty more attractive and comfortable cafes close by to enjoy. My main gripe with this place, after I purchased my cup of coffee, and was informed after requesting a saucer for my cup that they no longer provide cups with saucers, PHILISTINES! ...... WAS, that 25 - 30% of the vacant seats and tables were covered with used dirty, cups, plates, trays and food debris. I located one table to the extreme of the cafe which was not littered with this filth and where I found the table clearer, engaged in conversation with a customer. I asked her why a significant number of tables were left as mentioned above, ( note this was not a peak time, 4pm ish ). She replied, " I have been working overtime and now I am finished, why don't you sit at a table which is not covered"? She continued with her conversation with a customer. Conclusion. I. I expect a saucer with my cup, see photo. II. I do not expect to have to visually search for a clean unoccupied table free of dirty crockery and food waste. III. I do expect any eatery establishment to immediately clear a table once a customer has vacated it. IV. I do not expect after enquiring with a member of staff to be addressed in an impertinent, disrespectful and unhelpful manner. This is there attitude, a lack of training, a manner of, I really don't care. Sloppy poor service, and a messy, dirty, unhygienic environment. Please avoid this place they do not deserve your custom.

This is a small branch of M&S in comparison to other areas and it is made up of 3 separate shops on the same site, the back one being a food hall. The main focus is ladies fashion but there are mens, children's and home wares/furniture departments on the upper sales floors. The store also has a cafe and toilets (which need an upgrade as they're pretty run down, but moderately clean usually) They run out of common sizes 12 and 14 pretty quickly in ladies clothing which can be frustrating creating the need to order online. You can pick up from store free of charge or opt for home delivery if you want convenience and don't mind paying for the privilege! Cafe often busy and service slow. Not as good as it used to be and sometimes messy. Food nice scones delicious and good coffee.

As I local community traveller on some day's. You'll enjoy a bite to eat on the first floor cafe. On trip not recalling the actual season of the year or time or date ... I after work in the afternoon purchased a manicure tool . Dated on the back of the times case bell & curfew all rights reserved .. More importantly to stabilise any doubtful thoughts . They are equipped other tools to buy for safe usgae.. given stock supplies and services are not restricted or prohibited by personnel on given day. This marvelous store is jam packed with goods to buy for senior citizens and many family fun days out.

I was extremely disappointed with the school uniform selection in store this year. I went home to order online instead, only to find that ell items I wanted were not in stock. I have always bought school uniforms from M&S as they are excellent quality, but will have to shop elsewhere this year.

A good sized store with the clothing as well as the food sections. The staff are always friendly and helpful making an enjoyable experience. The only tricky thing is parking close by if you are buying a lit of items, but they do have a drive in collection point which helps.

Normally love M and S but went into order a sofa taking advantage of their 30% sale and using their interest free credit facility. There was nobody in the store trained on interest free credit, so wasted journey. 🙁

I went there to find a nightdress for my 82 year old mother. She has specific requirements so I went to M&S first. I saw several possibilities but as it was the first shop I'd looked at I went to a good few other stores. I ended up back at M&S as they were the only ones who could give me exactly what I was looking for at the right price. There was even money left over for a dressing gown too. The staff were really helpful.

Came in to have a quick look around and a coffee with the wife and baby, and the store has adequate room to manoeuvre a pram around it, although the lift is right at the back of the store and is quite tight when all 3 are in. That, said, the cafe was nice and roomy and it has a good selection of snacks and meals, and the pricing isn't too bad. The men's and kids clothing sections are quite big (at the upper back of the store) and the range is good in there

I recently needed a new suit having outgrown my last one, M&S seemed to be the first choice. I have to say Debbie who served us was absolutely brilliant, she knew exactly what would look good on me and weighed up my size very quickly. Can't recommend highly enough, and a big thank you to Debbie.

👍👍 Easy parking and a good range of products. Just make sure to check dates on fresh items in the bakery section. As twice we have got home to find the bread we bought is stale.

😠 Seems to be going downhill. Very very poorly stocked with lots of empty shelves. And the male toilets were absolutely disgusting. Car park overflowing with empty trollies yet only about 29 at store entrance. It’s evident that they are cutting back on staff as it never used to be like this. Time of v...
