This beach is terrible. Know that you will not have any peace if you choose to relax here. There ar eve does who will harass you and the umbrellas are over priced. The water is nice but I will never come back to this beach because of the people and price. One of the workers Didier was pretty aggressive in getting us to pay for his beer and buy drugs when all we wanted was a relaxing beach vacation.

Truly one of the worst beaches I ever been, not because of the beach but because of the scamming, 80 mill pesos for a drink. Truly sad because the beach has potential, also the beach is dirty garbage all over the beach, in addition no peace, every two minutes vendors come. Terrible, do not recommend at all. They will harass you nonstop.

Always a good time. I recommend that guests ask for DELIO.. he provides the best service...for Umbrella/chair/table rental..and all the beer and food you request. 11 yrs of coming here.

Quiet early in the morning. You will find less vendors here. It's worth paying 20m for a private perimeter with chairs and umbrella. There are vendors who sell lunch boxes for 10 and full massages for 40m.

Didn't visit the hotel but had the worse time at the beach. People charge us excessive amount for chairs,umbrella and drinks! The people selling food,other items,offered yoy massage services didn't leave you one moment in peace! Terrible!

I describe and rate the beach, not the hotel. All is scam. Corona beer for 30mil, Mojito for 75mil is ridiculous. plus 10 percent service charge, plus a big tip for the "waiter", who puts pressure to all, to buy more drinks. Get a ice box, ice and your own drinks in the supermarket and you will have the same fun, much cheaper...

We tried to relax, but we couldn't because every second someone was aggressively trying to sell us items or their service. I respect that but when we say no gracias leave us alone. We are trying to chill & relax. If we want to spend money on something we would inquire about it

Horrible experience and absolutely avoid! Totally scammy staff working the beach to sell the “tourist price” drinks to you that are double the price the locals pay. We had a large group that arrived to absolute chaos with these waiter guys fighting over our group, to the point where a couple of them nearly got into a fight. When we finally had them sort it out as to who “got us”, things were fine. Until the bill came. Credit card charge was 15% or US$50. They charged for tables. The drink charges were even more on the bill than listed on the menu. The actual restaurant providing the drinks and food finally just walked away from us when we disputed the charge for credit cards and we were walked to an ATM to get money. This place was such a horrible experience. Plus it’s super crowded and now more of a family beach. Do not go here unless you have lots of cash, and expect to be scammed for everything.

Worst beach I ever visited. The beach itself and the sea is fine considering it's in the city. But the local sellers of mostly everything you never wanted to buy are so annoying and intrusive that after 20 minutes you want to leave or kill at least one of those. The experience of a 3 week trip around Colombia. Please don't go there to teach those people a lesson.

This is the best daytime party place in Cartagena an is a must do for any travelers looking for some sun, fun and great people watching. I’d advise buy your beer from the vendors as the beach hut can be expand but the cocktails are really good. Ask for Edgar he will look after you. Great day out

Best seafood vendor in all of Boca grande!

It's quite beautiful and not as crowded as other beaches, there's a surfing school nearby.

Great food, beds, massages manicures and pedicures. Relaxing beach. Cartagena beaches are kind of whack but this is the best one. Negotiate everything And anything the vendors offer for free isn't free
